Question to Libbies: If Trump is this crooked monster you make him out to be, what does it say that the American people elected him over you fine Libbies?

Beyond question he is. What it says is that apathy and ignorance are as fatally corrosive in 21st century empires are they were in 5th century Rome.

Apathy and ignorance, eh? Gee you're not a very big fan of the general public, are you.

Ya know...I'd have to surmise that you're full o' sh1t. The American people knew better this election that in most, what the issues were, as the issues were very plainly visible. They chose Trump because the alternative was unthinkable.

But that's what happens when leaders ignore the public they are supposed to be representing.

True. The general public doesn't know much about how the world works. They are primarily interested in their families, beer and golf. They know how much they pay for gas and groceries, but not why. They know they want more affordable housing and healthcare, but again don't particularly understand what's causing high prices.

Really, they don't know much. IIRC, about 10% of Americans know what the Fed does. Only about half can name the three branches of government. I would bet you money that not even one out of ten could list the freedoms protected by the first amendment--let alone the more obscure amendments. A majority think that free speech means you can say whatever you want on social media.

That's why they're so susceptible to misinformation. like Joe Biden stickers on gas pumps, "They're eating the dogs and cats!" and "the election was rigged!" There's a reason Trump "loves the poorly educated." He can say whatever ridiculous shit he wants and you people will fall for it. If he promises to protect them from the shit he makes up or amplifies then they'll let him do whatever he wants.

This country is far from perfect, but it's worked well enough that people take for granted the hard-won innovations of our forefathers. Rather than investing in the work of building a more perfect union, they will coast along and let others worry about that stuff. They're not informed and they're paying attention to the wrong things. And that's how democracy slips away.

You are prima facie evidence of the apathy and esp IGNORANCE to which Hodad referred.

At least YOU have the excuse for IGNORANCE of not being a citizen.

All you MAGA CULT have been CONNED into believing a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, largely because FOS LIES never tells you the full truth.

Previous generations like my parents felt it was a civic obligation to be informed about candidates and what they will do.

Now most voters just don't have time; some because they have to work two jobs just to pay for food and housing and the tax cuts for multi-billionaires. House RepubliCONS are in the process of taking Medicaid away from 14M people and throwing who knows how many seniors out of their assisted living facilities.

A. It's not "warped data." It's the exact same goddamn data we've been using for DECADES in most cases. It's not created to support a point of view. Rather, smart people formulate a point of view based on data.

B. Even if it were "warped data" you wouldn't have any way of knowing. You have no idea how to use data let alone how to evaluate data. Half the time you are just repeating random shit you read online--and the other half you are just making things up like a child. "Nu-uh, the dictionary is wrong!!1!!"

Also like a child, you think that's "winning." What a turd.

Guess which column you stoopid Libbies get to populate.

A. 7 out of 195 is objectively excellent, and objectively not terrible. Jeebus.

B. Again, you lump, it's not a ranking of economies, but of recoveries.

C. I bet you're a solid middle of the pack among your colleagues. Bless the Opportunity Fund.

D. To correct someone, you'd have to first be correct about something, and that seems wildly out of reach. Your "evidence" for a bad Biden economy is a ranking (that was misapplied in the first place) and says the Biden economy is top 4%. 🤪

But as always, you'll keep digging.

BREAKING: Donald Trump unleashes a deeply bizarre rant during his trip to Qatar and rambles about lumberjacks, digging ditches, his MAGA Transportation Secretary climbing "up and down" trees, and Pete Buttigieg riding a bicycle.
The cognitive decline has never been more apparent. This man belongs in a psychiatric facility not the White House...
"When you look at what's happening with Russia and Ukraine the drone is killing tremendous numbers of people," Trump said during a press conference in Doha, Qatar. "You hide behind a tree and the drone comes down and it circles you with fire. You don't have a chance and the tree comes down also by the way."
"It's so intense the— I mean you see these trees being knocked down like..." he continued. "Like they're being sawed down by a top of the line, uhh, timberman like... Like... You know who? Sean... Duffy."
"Do you know that Sean Duffy, the head of the Transportation Department, who's working right now on the airports and getting a system because Biden didn't do a thing for four years and Pete Buttigieg was the head and he goes bicycling to work," said Trump.
"He takes a bicycle to work, can you believe it? He's head— He's running the biggest air system in the world and he takes a bicycle to work. What a— And they say he's going to run for president, I don't see it." Trump went on. "Who knows right? But I don't see it."
"But, uh, when I look at what they've done uh, it's so horrible what they've done and the work they did do they wasted billions of dollars," Trump went on. "They tried to hook up air systems to... To copper. They tried to hook up copper to glass and the glass doesn't work with the copper and..."
"Uh they had 30,000 different contractors doing 30,000 jobs and when they put it all together they spent billions of dollars. It didn't even come close to working and we're going to be giving out a brand new system," said Trump.
"It's very important. We'll have the best system. And we think we know who that system is but we have a lot of bidding," he went on.
"But we want one check," he continued. "We want a unified system. We don't have, uh, 5,000 contractors and all different places, some digging ditches and some not doing ditches because they want to go by satellite. Satellite seems to be the way to go. We're going to be giving that out pretty soon."
"But what people don't know about Sean cause I mentioned lumberjacks that Sean — you probably didn't know this that uh — I'm not talking about this Sean, this Sean no, not, this is not... This is a different Sean," Trump said.
"Sean Duffy, the head of Transportation. He's a great Sean though, I have to tell you but Sean Duffy was the world champion for five years climbing trees and down, up and down, world champion!" Trump said, struggling to string together his thoughts. "So that's what you call a serious a lumberjack."
"And he's doing a fantastic job too, a really respected guy and terrific guy and I mentioned the champion because when somebody's the champion — he's the world champion for a long time — he came down, when you come down those trees, coming down at a rapid... He said that started getting your back. You will often break your back! You... You miss... You miss a shot and you're coming down a lot faster than the human body was meant to come down. But he's doing a fantastic job at Transportation. But this has been a very, uh, historic trip."
Imagine for a second if President Biden had delivered a speech as confused, nonsensical, and downright strange as this during a trip to a foreign country. Every news outlet would be questioning his mental health. Donald Trump is clearly in a state of profound psychological deterioration and Congress should take immediate action to remove him from office.

No, it is not.

"Objectively excellent" is entirely dependent on the details here.

Lets say the potential here for 195 participants is to achieve a score of 0-100 with 100 being perfect. If none of the 195 got over a 40, it is not objectively excellent being 7th place in only getting to just below 40% of perfection and performing poorly with everyone else overall.

First off it's wrong on every level. Trump hasn't signed anything transformative in his first hundred days? The tariffs are not transformative to world trade? Literally every commentator everywhere has called them transformative. To suggest he's done nothing transformative in the first hundred days is a joke

Secondly he doesn't get to keep the plane so when they call it personal enrichment it's out and out lie

This is the CBC at its worst and that's saying something. I'm not saying trump's an angel of that he should be accepting planes or the like but it's crystal clear that the article is mostly factually wrong and is simply there for people to exercise their confirmation bias if they don't like trump

Post something useful. If all you've got is the cBC equivalent of the National Enquirer then you're making yourself look bad not trump

He does get to keep the plane because he alone gets to decide what to do with it when he leaves office. The thing will never be ready for use as AF! during this term and will cost even more to covert than the new aircraft. It isn't the CBC saying that, it's every credible source that knows security and what goes into an actual AF1. There are enough B747-8's in storage that they don't need one from Qatar if they wanted to convert an existing aircraft.

Trump's and his kid's businesses are profiting mightily from Trumps office and all you guys can do is babble about Hunter Biden's laptop. You really are a sad bunch of puppies.

No he doesn't. He can leave it with the government or he can give it to a presidential museum. That's it. So he doesn't get to decide at all, he gets to pick from one or two choices that are decided for him. If he does anything else he breaks the law.

You can't keep it, he can't use it for his own personal use after he leaves, you can't sell it and pocket the money.

So it's a lie. And you and I both know it's a lie. You can say he enjoys the benefit while he's president of having a really luxurious plane to ride but that's about it. And considering that the Air Force and Boeing have screwed up delivery of the new air force one to replace the very aged current one and it won't be ready until long after trump is out of office it's not the craziest thing in the world to accept one from someone else

But pretending that this is a direct benefit to him and his finances is puerile.

You didn't give a shit when the bidens were pocketing massive amounts of money including his kids. Can you explain given that why we should care now?

And in any case this isn't an example of that. Trump doesn't get to keep the plane. It is not his personal plane.

Well if it is not going to be ready for use during his presidency, what use is it other than as a personal aircraft. It's nothing more than Qatar stroking Trump's massive vanity by giving him a gift that can never be used as AF1. The AF1 at the Reagan library had been used by 7 serving presidents. This thing won't even get used by one.

What massive amounts of money did the Biden's pocket. Most of Biden's money was made from book deals and speaking engagements between his stints as VP and Potus. Unlike Trump who goes to great lengths hide his personal finances, had to shut down scams like his so called university and bogus charity,  Biden's tax returns have always been public.

Dude he's not allowed to keep it. Get your head around this simple concept. I have no idea what he's going to use it for, I have no idea how long it will take to get ready. I would guess that if he said that's what I want to fly on have it running tomorrow that they would find a way to make it airworthy tomorrow. If they can't it could just sit there until it's ready to go to his museum. But he can't keep it. So let's stop pretending otherwise And start behaving like an adult

If it can fly it can be used as air force one. In fact by definition any plane that the American president is aboard is air force one. And yes of course they're doing it to stroke his ego. That is the purpose of almost every presidential or prime ministerial gift from a foreign nation to a leader that has ever been

We've been through this a million times. And again you didn't care then and you expect people to care now and that's just not how it works.
