And it would seem the collapse may have begun!  We'll see if it's reflected anywhere else but that is way outside of the margin of error.

Unfortunately it would still be a liberal minority, but the CPC and the bloc would hold the balance of power. The ndp would be utterly powerless. We can work with that nicely.

Basically if this is how it plays out, then carney will spend the next year screwing up and not delivering and times will not get better, and once the ndp has a new leader we trigger an election with the bloc and at 18 months we take a majority then.

But i think this is just the start of his slide. I think over the next week he's going to weaken a lot more and even if people say they're voting liberal they'll actually tend to stay home or change their minds at the ballot box.

It's our media and the Liberals who have been dividing us over the years, even way before TRUMP!

In this news coverage of the French Debate -

near the end of this segment - CBC Rosemary Barton started on her DIVISIVE tactics - by pointing out that TRUE NORTH is a VERY RIGHT-WING website!

"these people....." you arrogant, small-minded cow!

F**K! Who cares what site it is. The journalist asked a very relevant question!

Why didn't you ask it?

It's true, if anything trump has brought us together. The liberals were the ones that tore us apart.

And after that budget announcement I think they realize that the liberals haven't changed a bit

Yeah, it's not like this division began in November.

Trudeau always counted on division for political success. Over the years he pitted the rich against the poor, the east against the west, the religious against the non-religious, lgbq against the straights, Gun owners against the hoplophobes, The vaxxed against the unvaxed of course and even the young against the old.

Canada was more divided than it has ever been under Trudeau and frankly despite this little upsurds we're seeing under trump I expect that will fade very quickly and will be back to being a divided nation very fast.

I tend to agree, Betsy.

We're about to find out if it was fear mongering.

One week from voting day?

=====

Before, the federal Liberals were obviously going to win. Strong. They defend us against the bully Trump.

Now, a few days after pre-voting dates, close to election day, the federal Liberals present a different image.

The federal Liberals need your vote - they may lose.

Sorry I thought she was talking about the liberal press, small l.

I already voted. Did not vote liberal. I'm an independent thinker.

We'll see.

Michael,

Do you know Evelyn Waugh? He had a brother - Alec Waugh. He fought in Passchendaele.

I'm not gay but I learned much of my English from Somerset Maugham.

I made a point of reading at least one book from classic authors, aside from the ones that I was a fan of, such as Conan Doyle...

But somehow if you picked two that I didn't read. Faulkner is the other one.
