I'm actually blown away by the fact that none of the LPOC apologists here is pretending that Carney won the debate.

I thought for sure that they would have loved Carney's answers to everything, considering what huge own-fart admirers they all are.

I knew that Poilievre would win the debate, but I thought that it would be closer.

Blanchette looked better than Carney up there too, the Bloc and CPC could both gain seats from the LPOC in Quebec.

Is the CBC's "two-dog race" narrative just meant to freeze out the Bloc and NDP so that those voters go to the Libs?

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Blanchet did the best and is probably the 'winner'.

Jagmeet lost hard. He looked desperate and whiny

PP definitely took second.  Carney gave him a freebie with that 'security clearance' question.

Carney placed 3rd, and it wasn't bad per say but it wasn't great. He probably thought he was better off playing it safe and that's arguably true. But he really could have used a splash of passion, something that made him look alive and in control, and all he looked was either mildly annoyed or cardboard.

I thought of that old joke from a comedian - " Listening to him reminded me of those professors in college that really knew how to inspire the kids to do drugs."  :)  boring, no hard hitting points, etc.

Now in fairness many people have been saying it's his boring nature that has made him appealing so far. People want something relaxed and steady during these turbulent times. But I think he went a little far

The problem for him is that poilievre had momentum going into that debate. About a ton but it was definitely there, and he just needed to shore up his fortunes a little bit. And that just didn't happen. I don't know that he made anything worse but he didn't make anything any better.

So now people will be discussing this over the long weekend and Monday will start to begin to see some of the polls start to reflect how things went. I think his economic plan is going to hurt him as well.

Well, if you sum up what pundits on CBC are saying - he won just because he didn't rise up to the bait (apparently he's got a short fuse),  and didn't make any serious gaffes. 😁

PP gave Jagmeet Singh a pass........and didn't attack Singh.

Let's not forget that the reason Carney rose up in the polls is due to NDP and Bloc supporters who panicked and jumped ship  The Conservatives' base, did not bleed out.  It remains strong.

I suppose PP was helping Singh get back some NDP supporters who went to Carney.

If both Blanchet and PP gain seats in Que it's a good thing.

It will be unfortunate to not have the NDP siphoning votes away from the LPOC. Now they own every single vote among the dumbest 40% of Canadians.

Our only hope is that 20% of them can't read and write well enough to print an X.

  1. They had to set an ultra-low bar in order to give him a pass.
  2. See how much mileage they get out of their fake polling? They can just say "our candidate was doing so well in the polls that he didn't have to try in the debates. That's why he kinda sucked. He actually won just by not really saying anything 🤡." - Sounds a lot like the story they gave us about Kamala, right?

I kind of wonder if the NDP voters are going to get out at all.

It's one thing to say that you're going to vote liberal out of anger on a telephone. It's another thing to get out and actually put your ex beside a globalist banker who hides his tax money to defraud the poor out of what's fair, which is the end of the day is what the NDP position would be on someone like Carney

Especially if the poles are still showing that the liberals have a good chance of winning, their vote might just stay at home entirely. We have certainly seen that before in Canadian politics.

A few posters were caught mumbling a few things over the last 24 hours that lead me to believe that even they are beginning to see indications of a reversal but they don't want to print it of course because that will cause a stampede.

I have a funny feeling in the last couple days of this election the posters will magically discover this incredible change I swear they were right all along and everybody just changed their mind at the last second :)

I bet against trump in the American election because I believed the statistics over  what my gut was telling me And the other indicators that were available and it turned out that my gut was right, my gut is telling me that the CPC is not doing anywhere near as badly as many of the posters suggest and that we may see some surprises on Election night. It's definitely going to be one to watch

What debate? You mean that performance?

Quite obvious that you thing the loudest, most disruptive person that lies the most and tells the biggest lies wins a debate, no wonder.
You're confused with posting shit on repolitics.....

Too bad there's no one he could claim was eating the dogs and cats, PP missed out on that chance.

We both know that if the debate was close you'd all be saying that Carney beat PP like a rented mule, and in a way I get it, because the stupidest things that the Liberals say are always music to your ears... but even the diehard cultists didn't like Carney's performance.

That's like having what's supposed to be the LPOC version of a Tom Jones concert, but you and eyeball and exflyer didn't throw your panties on stage.

Now, the sky was blacked out for a moment there, because Rosemary Barton threw hers, but her May paycheque depends on it. Her cushy CBC raise is scheduled for after the election... if Carney wins. He could have beaten up a trans, gay, indigenous/black, muslim, little person in a wheelchair and then told racist jokes all night and she still woulda said that he won.

He had the advantage of being the one the candidate no one cared about attacking. There was very little attack on Jagmeet as well, except for when Blanchet pointed out that he supported everything the Liberals did. But Jagmeet decided to act like a buffoon.

Very true. And there is this sort of tradition of that in the english language debates where the block candidate is free to run amok and call people out if he likes.

You can often tell who won or lost by which memes are going around.

There's a lot of people playing whole 'why didn't you get the clearance segment".  That says a lot.

There's some people on the left who reworked that so it sounded like he said "i was told i'd be gay' instead of 'i was told i'd be gagged' and that's making the rounds. Which means that was the part of the debates that jumped out at the left as well.

That's probably the main thing.

The rest are almost all blanchet, his 'crisis' comments, his harry potter budget from the night before, etc.

THere was no knock out blow.  BUT - taken as a group both the evenings introduced PP to canada in a way that made people feel a lot more comfortable with him, and made carney look a little less prime ministerial.

And it's like a building demolishing... the first bombs go off and even tho the structure is compromised you can't see it right away. Then the building begins to shift and suddenly it's coming down.

That's what it felt like to me, made 100 times more so by today's 'platform' release of 200 billion in new debt over the next 4 years.

You seem to know a lot about this. 🤔

I sure hope you're right because that's a scary amount of spending.

I'll tell you all about it once the statute of limitations runs out

It would be devastating. Our GDP per capita would nosedive further, inflation would rise or worse stagflation, with his plan to import tons of immigrants still have a major housing crisis . Canada would be devastated and he'll pack his bags and go back to Europe where he will serve as director of the boards of Companies he funneled money into as prime minister and enjoy millions of year at the taxpayers expense

Meanwhile we'll be left with a economy that's even more devastated than the current one plus we seem to be on the verge of a worldwide slowdown which isn't going to help

All we can do is make sure that we tell our friends to get out and vote, do our part and get out and vote, and hope for the best
