Zeitgeist Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 (edited) It’s become obvious since Trudeau’s government made land acknowledgments and shaming the country over false claims of mass graves at Residential Schools the norm, Canada can no longer develop resources or prevent a hemorrhaging of tax dollars towards groups that the government has designated as victims. Discriminatory racialized-only job postings are normalized in Canada. Constant pressure is being exerted on the government by activist groups that are funded by taxpayers to give tax revenue to those who don’t pay taxes and benefit from special status. My guess is that Canadians are powerless to stop this unsustainable and discriminatory mess due to our weak Constitution, politicized state-funded media, and Liberal-appointed judges. If not even the Conservatives can reverse this (not that the Conservatives can win anymore in Canada due to a highly indoctrinated public), then it’s inevitable that younger people with brains who want a better life will start pushing for Canada to join the U.S. in greater numbers. Canada has to be able to create wealth for its citizens. Over-regulation and endless consultation make it too costly to build pipelines, refineries, high speed rail, homes, the list goes on. Government bureaucracy has grown 40% under the Liberals. Canadians now earn 33% less than Americans. If the Liberals are re-elected, I’m not sure young people will have any interest in propping up the self-serving federal government several years from now. It wrings money from the public and can’t even do justice to federal responsibilities like defence. Edited April 18 by Zeitgeist 1 Quote
WestCanMan Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Those guys on the stage last night were all crowing about the fact that it would take 10-14 years to get a pipeline built if started today, not realizing that: we would already have those pipelines built if it wasn't for the Trudeau gov't 14 years is not a long time in the grand scheme of things, and we'd probably like to have those options available to us in 10-14 years. The Chinese gov't listens to planners who are looking 100 years ahead. 100. Their country has been around for millennia, and they plan to be around for another 1,000 years. In Canada, half of our country looks to 15 yr-old Great Thunberg for guidance. Quote If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it. "If it didn't come from CNN, it's heresy!" - leftist "intellectuals"

Yup, the game here is to over-promise before the end of every election cycle then to under-deliver and blame the previous government. The Liberals can’t do that because they’ve been in for three terms. We’re likely to get another Liberal government due to the usual Liberal-influenced fear-mongering from media. I predict that more money will be given to designated victim groups for no reason other than ethnicity/skin colour, more growth in government bureaucracy and over-spending will take place, and we’ll get nothing for it. Housing will remain unaffordable. No high speed rail line will get built. The military will remain under-funded at below 2% of GDP. No refineries or pipelines will be built. More sob stories about historic injustice will abound from the designated victim groups. More debt will accumulate. Carney will walk away unscathed and enjoy an opulent retirement. Canadians will insist that they are independent of the U.S. but elect parties that do nothing to strengthen Canada. I want to be proven wrong. Edited April 18 by Zeitgeist 1 Quote
Army Guy Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Very few Canadians even care to what is happening outside their bubble, let alone caring about our resources or making our country richer...And for the most part climate change is a joke if it will costs them out of pocket including many on this very forum that are pro climate change... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

The Canadian public don’t seem to understand that more can be done to reduce global emissions and make the world more secure from China and Putin by shipping liquefied natural gas to Europe and India than any carbon taxes or regulations on our oil and gas sector. Trudeau ignored that fact and turned away Germany when they were looking for an energy alternative to Russia. Poilievre understands and said all this in the debates, but the media keeps touting Carney as the winner. Why? Because the Liberals fund our mainstream media and try to silence opposition. What chance does Canada have to be independent and strong without a free press and when our energy sector is hobbled by regulation and taxes? How can we build our military and raise living standards when the cost of doing business is so high and so much money is taken from people and businesses to prop up our bloated overbearing federal government and its creepy identity politics? It will be very difficult for any major big forest or mining company to be able to get anything done in Canada anymore. Pretty much nothing will ever get done without the blessing of the feather. The native Indians now control pretty much all of Canada, and not a thing can get done without their approval and then a payoff. A country given to a bunch of ingrates that have never done anything to help make Canada great. They just take our tax dollars and give us the finger now. This is what our woke leftist liberal politicians do all the time. Phk with we the people and blow our tax dollars. The East Indians are buying up most of the country, to the native Indians that control what gets done, and with our useless leftist liberal idi0t politicians running the show, how can Canada ever get to see it's full potential. It is impossible. I pity Canada if Corney becomes the new WEF globalist dictator of Canada. If things are bad now, just wait and see what Corney will do if elected as dictator of Canada. It's our call to make sure that does not happen. Just saying. Quote

Maybe it is time for a taxpayer revolution? Canadians are truly over taxed and over governed and over regulated. I think that it is safe to say that Canada has become a Marxist country where all we seem to get from our useless left wing politicians is more taxes, more government, and less freedom and rights. Even the BC Marxist government, at times, appears to not want to adhere to the Charter of rights and freedoms. The COR today is really not worth a pot to pizz in. This election will be a do or die situation for Canada. 🤔 Quote
herbie Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Oh it's all so shitty, why don't we just shoot ourselves now. Oh how the very people that loathe govt complain loudest how 'the country' can't get anything done because Big Business has to follow rules that citizens want. Quote
Army Guy Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 The citizens don't want these rules, they don't care one way or another, sure they talk a good game but as soon as they have to pay our of pocket their done...most of the liberal rules set around getting our resources to market are designed to keep all of that in the ground....And when they do get approved every man, women and dog along it's route needs to be paid off....Carney has no intentions of freeing up all these resources, unless they are green....He has already promised to spend 500 bil in the next 5 years, the old liberal money tree is already pretty bare, where is all this new money coming from.... 1 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
