"We had no problem but i guess carney didn't think quebec was worth 70,000 dollars." "if he flip flops on a promise to debate running the country, what will he do if he actually runs the country?" i mean the jabs pretty much write themselves It wouldn't be so bad if he hadn't agreed to it earlier. That might have flown if he hadn't been all " why not yes yes" earlier. If he just said "look, short campaign, we're not doing any extra debates i'll go talk to the people directly' it would have been no big deal. But he handled it very very badly and quebec will see it as a snub. Maybe, I don't know. We will find out April 28. Quote

CdnFox Posted March 25 Author Report Posted March 25 Just now, Aristides said: Maybe, I don't know. We will find out April 28. will probably find out a lot sooner than that based on the polling. But it's still a long campaign and 38 days is a long time in politics so we'll see what else happens. But it's a bad start, he needed to ride the momentum he's got into the campaign very strongly. I'll say the same thing about carney that I said about Kamala. Basically they're gliders, something pulled them fairly high up and release them and they have to ride that momentum to stay aloft. They can catch the odd updraft here and there but by and large if they lose altitude its generally extremely difficult for them to recover it, and if they get too slow they'll start to go down fast. Carney started about neck and neck with pp in the polls, probably slightly under, and can't afford any gaffes like that if he's going to glide all the way to the finish. This was a bad first day. He lost a little speed. Not fatal yet but he can't have more like that. Quote

CdnFox Posted March 25 Author Report Posted March 25 (edited) And the blunders kept coming. Look how he handled this simple question. first off the 'banker' couldn't explain his point and he looks flustered, laughs nervously, and the woman in red behind him is desperately trying to follow what he's saying and very obviously even SHE can't figure it out. This simply does not look prime ministerial Also, median family earning 50 k? that's what he thinks the average family earns in Canada? or does he mean everyone over that is getting screwed Edited March 25 by CdnFox Quote

ironstone Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 It seems that a lack of French for Ruby Dhalla and Chandra Arya was a rather big deal for the Liberals. But with Mark Carney? Nothing to see here folks! How will the other candidates react? Will they all gang up on Poilievre and ignore the no-show Liberal Prime Minister?
