Firing thousands of Government employees that have decades of experience in the FAA, TSA, and Air Traffic Control will increase the odds of these types of incidents dramatically.

BTW, I think Trump just got out of the washroom. You may want to clean his anus.

There's no indication at all that's the case here. You're taking a tragedy and trying to milk it for political points.

And we can tell you know you're in the wrong because like ALL lefties on this board as soon as you start to lose you start having weird homosexual fantasies :)  it's a dead giveaway :)

Now why on Earth should anyone take this person seriously?

Apparently there was only one controller on duty due to short staffing. Another possibility being mentioned is that the aircraft may have been on different frequencies. Civil aircraft use VHF and the military mostly uses UHF. In this case, the pilots can only hear the controller and not the other aircraft's reply.

What is sickening is that no one seems to care why 67 people died, all they can do is make political garbage out of it, including the POTUS.

well, as President Trump rightly said,  Air Traffic Controller needs to be the elite of the elite

this has to be the Tier One of the civilian side of government;  no fail mission

In reality, they ONLY need one sole talent and that is the ability to keep alert and focused for long periods of BOREDOM.

Some ret4rd on X is crying that Trump "didn't let a tragedy go to waste".

I'd love to see what that low-IQ troll has to say about CNN/the Dems' comments during the first 24 hours after any tragedy that ever occurred in the US...

Hell, CNN went straight to "conspiracy theory" BS about M Brown right away, incited racial rioting, and then turned out to just be wrong. "Oh well..."

M Brown has NOTHING TO DO with FAA safety, M0R0N.

With Musk and Trump at the helm, there will be more plane Crashes in 2025, than in any year in American history.

If there is that would actually be Biden's fault. All of the air traffic people would have been hired under his term. You would literally be proving trump and musk right. You'll have to wait a couple years for it to be trump's fault

If they were having trouble recruiting  controllers before, how are they going to find intelligent, competent people who want work for a mean spirited mob who hate civil servants and who's primary job requirement is loyalty to Trump? DEI will be mice nuts compared to the chaos this bunch is going to cause.

Not only will they make it far more difficult to find good people, they will destroy the moral of the ones who are already there.

What on Earth are you talking about? Air traffic controllers are not political appointees. Many of them have worked for over 20 years. It does not seem like you know much about how airports work.

Actually, because of retirements, about 36% of controllers have been there 5 years or less.

Which means 64% have been there longer. Is 64 bigger than 36?

Smh...1 in 3 controllers are new. No one said 1 is bigger than 3. You are spinning your wheels. The implied point here is that there are quite a few new hires in the system further, a lot of those new hires are dealing with forced OT and long days.

This was all predicted 60+ years ago when boomers boomed. It is happening in every agency and every arm of the economy. Your denial is bizarre.

I'm not denying anything. The initial claim was all ATC's were hired under Biden, the counter was "many" ATCs have been around for a long time, and your counterargument to that showed a 1/3 or a minority of ATCs have been there for 5 years or less. I would consider 2/3s of anything to be "many" and not "all" but your mileage may vary. Furthermore, the number of "new" ATCs (one year or less experience) is even less, around 10% of the total.

To circle back to the main point: DumbFux's claim that all ATCs were hired under Biden is laughably false as your own figures show. QED.

Blaming it on DEI isn’t political? You guys are pathetic.

DEI is a fact of life. It's a cancer, but it's still a fact of life. When a company's stock begins to plummet, where should you look first? That's right, any department that could be infested with the woke virus - HR is a great place to begin your search.
