Poilievre tells Winnipeg Jewish Review in an exclusive interview that he will defund all those with a Woke Anti-semitic Agenda

Woah!  Including universities, museums and any group that receives federal funding!

He re-iterated that he plans to “defund” all “those who are imposing a radical, terrifying, toxic ideology” and this will apply to “everything that the federal government controls.” He stated “I will fire government officials throughout my administration who are imposing a toxic woke ideology.”

Poilievre said under a future Poilievre administration, “there will be a crackdown on all terrorist networks that Trudeau has allowed on our streets.” He said that laws would be passed that give serious consequences to those involved in perpetuating radicalism in our streets. “We will also screen incoming immigrants” to Canada to ensure that they "have no terrorist links, "he added.

Holy shit!  That's going to ruffle a few feathers i suspect.

PP is going to find out the hard way, that most of us are not brainwashed by FOX News, and see through the "woke" witch hunt.

Sure, right after Canadians hand him the largest majority in our history :)

Sorry kid. Canadians are done with the woke. And you've only yourselves to blame.

Define "woke"

Why? It's not like we're going to have to live with it for very much longer :)

Hopefully not. I will continue to try and help humanity, fight climate change, care for my community, and try to make life better for people.

The "anti-Woke" people (whatever "woke" means), seem to want to destroy humanity.

The worst thing is that they want to make election about baby words, things that mean nothing.

I don't think Canadians will be satisfied with a government that deals in slogans and superficial fads.  Heck, they're voting out that very thing.

Well since they made it up, and they blow up every little thing like it's a national emergency.  A trans woman getting a job is something we need to recall Parliament for etc.

They can just shut up about this stuff and then declare victory

. But that's not going to fix our huge problems with trade, unity, and the environment.

Hopefully the new PM will change tone quickly and focus on what needs to happen.  People on are here have stated that it will be an easy job for him, I suspect they're probably changing their mind now.

Off with the heads of anyone who does not agree with me. What a dictator. He sees the polls and well into a majority but Canadians will never give this guy a blank cheque.

He is saying anything to get elected as PM or to bring down the government soonest. He pulls anything out of his sleeves no matter how unconstitutional it is like writing to governor general asking her to recall the Parliament early!!!!.  He is an ideologist like Harper and this is a danger to democracy.

And he has said nothing about immigration problems or how he will resolve housing crisis, He speaks with both sides of his mouth or don't speak at all.

UNfortunately you don't appear to understand how Trudeau Liberals with NDP wrecked this country.  High food costs, housing cost out of sight for average person, rampant crime with catch and release, open borders with massive illegal immigration the past five years and all the problems and costs that brought.  PP and the Conservatives represent a plan to reverse the mess.  Who in their right mind would question that?  Except you????

That's pretty dumb.  Opposition leaders and parties are smart enough to know you don't give details of how you're going to fix things when you are in opposition.  Giving details just gives the governing party or Liberals ammunition to use against you.  That's why they don't give the details.

That is how democracy works.  You don't seem to understand how it works.  Maybe do some studying.

The reason the Conservatives are 20% or 22% ahead of the Liberals is because they are smart and know how to campaign without giving the Liberals ammunition to use against them.  Don't be so dumb.

I fully understand Trudeau is partially responsible by relaxing immigration though all those issues occurred in all developed countries including the US and Western Europe like UK. It was the Pandemic and now we are coming out with only 1.9% inflation.

So being tricky and having HIDDEN agenda is YOUR definition of democracy!!!!!!!!. You can have this democracy and you know what to do with it.

For now they are up in polls because people are fed up with Trudeau's face but he will resign after holidays and a new face will hold down Conservatives to a minority.

Get real man.  Look at the cost of real estate increase in the past five years in Canada.  It is out of sight.  The average middle class young person can never afford a home now.  Canadians are completely cut out of the market in all the main cities.

"

Canada-wide, the composite home price has risen from $541,900 to $750,100, a difference of $208,200 in just five years. The cost of a condo is up by $120,600, townhouse prices have risen by $204,300, and a single-family home costs $241,600 more than it did in 2018.

Of the 18 cities and regions included in the report, the largest price jumps were recorded in a trio of Ontario regions.

In the Greater Toronto Area, the composite home price in August 2023 sat at $1,141,400, a $386,200 increase from August 2018. A single-family home now costs $1,365,200 — a $469,900 jump in just five years — while townhouse and condo prices have risen by $300,500 and $229,300, respectively.

Barrie and District and Hamilton-Burlington also saw composite home prices increase in excess of $300,000 from 2018 to 2023."

You obviously don't know how democracy works and has always worked.

You don't give the opposing party the details of your plans or you will never win.   They will use everything they can against you.  That's just a fact of life.  Very elementary principle.

Yes I know having hidden agenda, lying to the nation about what they will do, not disclosing policies is your democracy. Ayatollah established your democracy in 1979 after stealing power with lies and deceptions too.

Not true.  He has stated that lower governments will be penalized unless they prioritize housing.

Immigration... He's said a few things but nothing too extreme.

@Moonlight Graham AGAIN!  I'm an incurable Poilievre SUPPORTER right??

What does that mean exactly? HOW exactly he is going to tackle these issues? Immigration is a Federal matter and he want to penalize provinces who have no say in it?

I see it as extreme when he threatens to fire government officials if they disagree with his vision.

As much as I dislike Trudeau I will campaign against Poilievre in the next election based on this statement alone.

The Liberals constantly talked about Harpers hidden agenda.

So what was his hidden agenda? Please don't tell me it was soldiers in the streets.

I have to wonder just how many different groups are getting funding from various levels of government?

We're not interested in hearing how Trudeau ruined the country. We're looking for answers to the problems the country faces. PP is not giving any answers.

In his reign some 50,000 government workers were laid off so that he looks good for bringing deficit down to near balance. Bill C-36 was pushed through Parliament in an undemocratic matter to satisfy HIS ideology without resolving the real issue.  Nobody in his government dared to speak against him. He was voted out while he was having a majority government giving way to an opposition majority in its place. This was how dissatisfied Canadians were with his government in 2015. I for one campaign very hard against him in the fall of that year.
