Right. Well then take my word for it: we never trusted the vaccine with our lives before it came out, we weren't in a panic that covid was killing healthy people and children back then, we were aware that the vax was risky back then, and then when the Israeli ICU data came in we knew that the jab wasn't anything like we were told it would be.

"Science" just finally started coming around to admitting all of that in 2024, 3 years too late.

You should have been listening to us instead of arguing.

"Well then take my word for it"

I will do no such thing for anybody.. let alone you. You have some twisted perceptions.. I guess this is what happens when you obsess about something hour after hour and are desperate for affirmation. The whole dilemma has always been that Covid-19 is not a topic I care about. Now, read that again.. If I do not care then I have no stance such anti-vax or pro-vax. Can you comprehend that last sentence?

Jeebus, man. Talk about a total lack of self awareness.

This, in a thread where you are whining about "Biden's deficits" when they are standing on the shoulders of 2 massive emergency spending packages and the need to sustain a fragile recovery. You are literally trying to absolve Trump of blame for his economic misfortunes while tarring Biden for the fallout from the same black swan event. And you have the nerve to talk about disingenuous cherry picking?

His deficits come from his spending on the the big infrastructure package they brag about as well as the so-called American Rescue plan, the CHIPS act, the "inflation reduction" act...

The Democrats went on a spending frenzy while they could.

They own these deficits and this is exactly why we also say they own the continued inflation that went on for years as they dumped money onto the economy like mad men.

That is not cherry picking, those are cold hard facts. Biden and the Democrats own these massive deficits.

LOL, when people have to tell you they are ignoring you...

Luckily for you you don't have to, you can just look back at your own posts here.

Under most circumstances I find lies more offensive than ignorance, but that's some world-class ignorance and stupidity right there. If what you just said is true then you're amoral, not to be confused with immoral.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

You have some serious dementia. Been having this pointless discussion for about 2 years... I have stated hundreds of times that I do not really care about the topic of COVID-19.. Do you recall any of these? Surely you must because at times.. you bring this up. So lets get back to some simple reading comprehension... if I do not care about a topic, how is it possible to pro or anti.. therefore arguing against you? Come on now.. surely you can read that last sentence.

Yeah, I recall hundreds of them.

And just like I replied to you a hundred times before, it's weird to chime into a conversation to say "I don't care about this conversation" twenty times.

Doubtless there are thousands of threads on different forums about which tampons and maxi-pads are more comfortable, effective, undetectable, etc, but I have never waded into any of those discussions to say "I don't care about this topic." Do you care to guess why?

You... fine sir.. are who steered this discussion on this thread onto Covid-19.. not I. The title is what? Hmmm... you created this thread and apparently can't recall. Lets help you out.. its Biden's Deficit 70% Higher than Trump's: US Treasury.  Department Data

when did you do this.. easy find. Had I mentioned it before? No.. Easily proven.

@impartialobserver or let's be neutral... Go back and sift through Goddess's Trickle to a flood thread, and see how much she knows compared the Fauci, the CDC, Trudeau, Biden, CNN, CTV, CBC, and the WSJ combined..... How much did she know on Sept 30 2021 than all of those guys knew in Sept 2022?

Weird, hey?

I honestly think you're a bit crazy, dude. I can't be bothered with this discussion anymore.

I hope you have a really nice day io. Walk in a nice park with someone you care about, have a nice healthy dinner, maybe play a sport or watch a movie, and get a good sleep.

Cheers!

In short.. I proved explicitly that you and you alone steered this topic onto covid-19.. which you know that I do not care about.

actually, day is fine. Going to do a fraud investigation and then go home to the wife and kids. The claimant is trying to convince the board that he is owed X dollars of back pay because his side business should be counted as income.. That's not how it works for UI. I do love nailing people like this..

He ran smaller deficits as compared to Biden, he ran bigger deficits as compared to Obama...

Trump didn't do much of anything to control spending. Neither did Republicans. They all teamed up with Democrats to increase spending. More $$$ for Defense and more $$$ for social programs.

This is where Conservatives like me have such a problem with what we call the establishment party, which is both Republicans and Democrats entrenched in the Washington DC way of spending money with no care in the world.

Its why we end up 500K dollars going to study shrimp on treadmills...

Well i had heard that obama racked up more debt:

Obama increased federal debt more than Trump | Fact check (usatoday.com)

but either way it's true that trump did little or nothing to get spending under control and the republicans seem to be ok with high deficits and that's really not ok in my books

The problem with that, as was noted in the article, is that Obama was President for 8 years. Had Trump been President for 8 years, he would have racked up more debt.

Not sure that is a great talking point.

Fair point, i guess even trying to work out an average per year is a little unfair, even if we weed out the covid years. Obama's came down over time and trumps might well have too.

But really it sounds like what's being said is that you just can't compare them effectively

This is a rather simplistic view of things, but all I ask is that you apply it equally. If "Biden and the Democrats" own their deficits, then Trump owns his deficits.. Easy peasy. Just apply a bit of consistency and intellectual honesty.

No. You just tried to blame the 2020 deficit on 2019 budgeting. That was either gross ignorance or an outright lie on your part.

All I did was correct you with the facts.

2020 was 100% on Trump

They're quick to call everything that Trump says is a lie, even when it's not, then they let Biden spew BS for 4 years and pretend that it's all true.

Trump "It didn't rain during my inauguration speech."

MSM: "TWETY DROPLETS OF RAIN FELL IN THE !!TH MINUTE! THAT'S A LIE!!!!"

Biden: "There's no inflation."

*Gas is up almost 100%, groceries are up 20% on average*

MSM: "There's no inflation."

Complains about Biden lying, while lying about what Biden said. Classic.🤪

Nothing simplistic about it, just stating facts here on the spending spree they went on.

And I am quite consistent in my criticism on here. In the last few days I have repeatedly criticized both Democrats and Republicans for their spending and just earlier today pointed out that Trump was spending more and racking up the debt during his time as President too...

You tried to claim that the 2020 deficit was from the 2019 budget when I was pointing out it was from COVID emergency spending. This was part of the dishonest effort to say Trump's deficit spending, not including COVID, was more than Bidens... and it was not.

That was the argument at hand and everyone was involved in that emergency spending, as was Trump. So, no, it was not 100% on Trump, it was 100% on everyone.

No crap. When discussing emergency spending related to the pandemic, both the 2020 and 2021 years are being discussed.

It is the 2022 year that the Biden team and others on the left dishonestly tried to act like Biden somehow cut deficit spending by 50% when all that happened is that there was no more emergency spending on COVID... and yet his deficit spending was still more than 2019 pre-COVID

Exactly. That's why I compared Trump's 2018 and '19 budgets to Biden's 2023 budget. They were all distanced from covid enough to be a measure of normal/non-pandemic budgets.

Leftists know that they're being disingenuous when they compare Trump's 2020 budget with Biden's 2023 budget, but it's the only positive comparison that they've got.

Much like job numbers.. comparing 2023 vs. 2020 (regardless of month) is disingenuous. It does not matter if you use CES or QCEW, both paint a similar picture. The better comparison is 2019 vs. 2023. In most industries (defined at the 3 digit level of NAICS such 322,561, etc), jobs are down. No, not in all industries and not in all places.

1. I point out that WCM is trying to absolve Trump of his deficits and blame Biden for his deficits - a criticism of logical inconsistency

2. You reply that Biden spends too much, blah blah, and the democrats are to blame for their deficits, with no mention of Trump whatsoever

3. I again appeal for logical consistency

4. You tell me that you are consistent in your criticism.

Lol. Sure. All makes sense now. Consistently one-sided. I should have been more specific.

I literally linked you to my criticism of Trump and explained I have other examples this week as well... and you just ignore it and come up with this drivel.

I pointed out that Biden's deficit in 2023 was double Trump's deficits of 2018 and 2019.

I compared Trump's non-covid years to Biden's non-covid year.

That's not "logical inconsistency", dummy, it's a perfectly fair apples-to-apples comparison.

If you look further down the page you'll see one of the residents leftards - no doubt rebound or robo - has a similar thread where they make direct comparisons between the deficits in Trump's covid-year budget and Biden's non-covid-year budget. Did you chime in there to make your "logical inconsistency" claim?

When people here talk about "the huge job losses under Trump" and "the huge job creation under Biden" they're comparing the start of the pandemic to the bounce-back job after the pandemic, when the economy was re-opened.  Do you chime in there to make your "logical inconsistency" claims?

We both know that Biden's only "successes" come from comparing Trump's covid year to Bidens best year.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.
