@Hodad Can you find any logical inconsistencies in the OP of this thread:

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Kamala didn't get where she is because of her achievements or anything that came out of her mouth.

I pointed out that Biden's deficit in 2023 was double Trump's deficits of 2018 and 2019.

I compared Trump's non-covid years to Biden's non-covid year.

That's not "logical inconsistency", dummy, it's a perfectly fair apples-to-apples comparison.

If you look further down the page you'll see one of the residents leftards - no doubt rebound or robo - has a similar thread where they make direct comparisons between the deficits in Trump's covid-year budget and Biden's non-covid-year budget. Did you chime in there to make your "logical inconsistency" claim?

When people here talk about "the huge job losses under Trump" and "the huge job creation under Biden" they're comparing the start of the pandemic to the bounce-back job after the pandemic, when the economy was re-opened.  Do you chime in there to make your "logical inconsistency" claims?

We both know that Biden's only "successes" come from comparing Trump's covid year to Bidens best year.

It has to be something-ist, because it makes the Dems look bad.

Sure. You're so consistently even handed that your went out of your way to reply to a criticism of illogical one-sidedness with a one sided "rebuttal."

Keep gaslighting yourself!👍

Nothing one sided about pointing out the facts around how Biden and Democrats are responsible for the deficit spending after the Pandemic.

Facts do not care about your feelings.

No, Dummy, Trump inherited a robust economy and elected to run big deficits in the hope of further stimulating it. (We got deficit and debt, but no stimulation, because trickle down has always been preposterous.)

So we were already running deeper in the red and poorly positioned to deal with the necessary COVID stimulus packages.

Biden took over in the midst of a true crisis, carrying Trump's elective deficits (tax cuts) along with the necessary of stimulus. His response and fiscal policy were mostly dictated by  circumstances. You simply cannot pivot from stimulus to austerity without re-crashing the economy. It was a forgone conclusion that Biden would have to run heavy deficits and we would have to wean off as the economy stabilized--the so-called soft landing.

It was the Bush-Obama handoff all over again. Unhelpful tax cuts lead to large deficits followed by a crisis and heavy stimulus spending before it all gets dropped on the Democrats to repair the damage. Meanwhile, Republicans suddenly start caring about deficits and create a narrative beating up the Democratic president for running deficits that they literally have to run.

We've had one fiscally conservative president in the last 45 years--and it was a Democrat. We have no idea what Obama or Biden WOULD have been like if left to their own devices and inclinations. Likely not fiscal conservatives, but certainly their records are wildly distorted by circumstance and the decisions necessary to navigate crisis.

Obama was running far larger deficits for most of his 8 years. It was not until the last couple of years they were lower... nevermind how much total debt Obama added under his 8 years.

The only people saying trickle-down are leftists. Trump cut taxes for almost everyone across the board. And then Republicans and Democrats spent $$$$$$$$.

It was not the tax cuts that added to the deficit, it was the spending.

Yet again, Republicans and Democrats kept spending after the tax cuts.

Yet again, those facts of mine you didn't like... Biden and Democrats kept spending even more. It was not the Pandemic. They used their power to push through all their little pet spending projects they could to the tune of trillions.

Inflation through the roof is what we got... not a soft landing.

Yeah, and it took a GOP Controlled Congress for the first time in like 40 years to force him to do it.

Far larger than what? Under Obama the deficit shrank year after year nearly every year. All Trump had to do to"heroically" balance the budget was to keep things as they were. Can you even imagine what an achievement that would have been? Instead, he decided to increase the deficits in the hope of a short term optical victory. What a loser.

People are saying it was trickle down because that's exactly what it was, skewed dramatically toward the wealthy and businesses. The same warmed over, reheated garbage that we knew wouldn't work, and indeed did not. Revenue went down. Spending went up. Sort of how the oaf managed to bankrupt three goddamn Casino. Casinos, FFS.

Whatever you want to blame "Biden and the Democrats" for, the fact (which, as you say, doesn't care about your feelings--or your lies) is that the deficit is about half of what they inherited from Trump's dumpster fire. Just enough to keep the soft landing. You may not know much about economics, but that's a really big deal. Has only once or twice in history. And we're looking at continued growth for at least the next three forecast years. The president is just one of many factors, but if you want to play a simplistic blame game, go ahead and blame Biden for a robust economy and the fact that we're growing rather than in recession.

They're quick to call everything that Trump says is a lie, even when it's not, then they let Biden spew BS for 4 years and pretend that it's all true.

Trump "It didn't rain during my inauguration speech."

MSM: "TWETY DROPLETS OF RAIN FELL IN THE !!TH MINUTE! THAT'S A LIE!!!!"

Biden: "There's no inflation."

*Gas is up almost 100%, groceries are up 20% on average*

MSM: "There's no inflation."

Trump lied and you were caught denying that for HIM and proving how you've been CONNED BY HIM.

This is the same dumb game Biden, Democrats, and folks like you are playing with the 2022 fiscal year. OMG, look, Biden cut deficit spending in half!

Instead now, you are bragging about Obama cutting his own deficit spending. So what? Year after year after year it was higher than anything Trump did.

As I have already pointed out here before, I am no fan of the spending Trump engaged in with both Democrats and Republicans. The difference between you and I here is that I can admit this stuff, you apparently cannot. It is just mindless parroting of extreme partisan talking points for you.

No, "people" are not saying that, it is a left wing talking point that no one on the right was making.

Any rate cut benefits in total dollars more those who pay more. It doesn't change the fact that taxes were cut across the board and the vast majority of folks benefited.

It was never branded as trickle down, because it was never targetted to the top.

You just keep playing this same dumb dishonest game... Biden and Democrats are spending more in deficit than Trump was before the emergency Pandemic spending that both Democrats and Republicans both supported.
