i didn't know much about immigration until i looked into it... and it would appear, again, that most of the idiocy is on the GOP.

what is suspect is that neither the DNC or the GOP are enlightened enough to talk about the reasons why there are so many people willing to flee their homes down south. addressing the problem at its root is probably just as problematic for the US.

It's not a problem for the US to resolve, but rather the poorly governed basket cases from which people are fleeing.  The reason there are so many people willing to flee to the US is because they can.  

I'm about as anti-Trump as anyone, and think the GOP is a clownshow, but that doesn't mean border security isn't a real issue that needs fixing.

Let’s begin with this whopper: We deported ALL illegal aliens under Trump?  Tell me about that.  
 

We shut down the border? No, we still had lots of illegal immigration, although the ones who were caught were subject to instant deportation BECAUSE of the COVID pandemic, not Trump. That is a policy Biden kept until the pandemic ended and a court said it was no longer legal.  
 

TODAY, the Congress is trying to make that legal, but the REPUBLICANS ARE BLOCKING IT.
