Point is, for liberals, as long they don't see it, they don't care how the sausage is made. They feel like their making a difference.

Just because we outsource our pollution doesn't mean the pollution isn't still happening. We can mine these rare earth minerals in a much safer and cleaner manner then China is but that make liberals feel icky so the answer is NO.

The federal government is trying to destroy multiple hydroelectric plants right now because Salmon or some other nonsense, which is by far the cleanest electricity and most sustainable.

There is always drawbacks to everything. Nuclear is very clean but dealing with the waste it produces is problematic.

Electric cars are clean to run but they process of making one isn't and most are still ran by fossil fuel driven electric plants.

We don't have the mines with known deposits that China has. Maybe that will change soon.

Currently. But progress in electric sources is relatively easier than swapping out vehicles.

The woman and kids died because they were trying to cross and wound up in the water.  They're blaming Texas because texas was not allowing border patrols across their barracade.  Border patrol got a call some migrants were in trouble and fell in the water but couldn't cross to help and couldn't get ahold of anyone in time from texas.   IT HAD ZERO TO DO WITH RAZOR WIRE IN WATER - THERE IS NO RAZOR WIRE IN THE WATER!!!!

For the immigrants trying to cross the border.. I would simply say that they should go about it in the legal fashion. Some will argue that we should turn them all away except for the brightest and most accomplished. I would say that we should be a bit more lenient because a society needs all types not just Phd's and doctors. However, to ease the burden on communities.. its best that we slow the intake.

Did you catch 60 Minutes last night? Covered Chinese immigrants sneaking through a gap in the wall 60 miles East of here, and immediately surrendering to Border Patrol.

They were asked why they didn't use the port of entry and cited the app necessary to make an appointment is almost impossible to use (very buggy), and has a waiting period of 3-4 MONTHS.

Of course the app was developed under the Trump admin who didn't want anyone using it.

Per the SCOTUS blog for Jan 22, 2024 , Texas prevented the U. S. Border Patrol agents from moving the many ..."rolls of razor wire that Texas Governor Abbot had ordered placed alongside the Rio Grande River, as a woman and two children were injured in the same area,",  , part of this area is water, the rest us dry land. So, if the wire, which always comes tightly coiled and must be pulled apart with great strength , runs along thevruver, parts of it will be IN the water and part will be on dry land. The initial police report as reported on lical news gave the victims as being brought to safety from the river, not the river bed. 

Much more interesting reading on Governor Abbott versus the 1940 Water Treaty between Texas and Mexico brings a lot if facts edited out of the current real problems between Texas Governors and Mexico's President s regarding  water to farmers. I researched part of it for my response.

Again - the big 'thing' is the agents were prevented from going out of the usa to assist and bring the migrants back.  No 'underwater' wires. The razor wire I have seen comes in 500 foot rolls, it took two soldiers with metal grippers in the 1970's to pull it apart, I doubt a woman could do so on land or underwater if coiled.  It's much stronger than barbed wire. But the point is, you cannot pull in it with bare hands at all, it slices right through fingers and whatever other body parts that come in contact with it.  It's devilish stuff.  Also, try hiking down a river someday that weaves around a jagged boundary like the Texas border with Mexico which the Rio Grande IS in multiple areas. It is not a straight river, pulling any wire so it rests carol the river in one place means it will be under water in others. You will recall a few months ago I told you I did precious ( and other) minerals prospect ing through my college days and more again much later in life. You are an 1diot. Razor wire isn't "pulled apart' to get past it - it's a continous roll.  You only pull it out to deploy it and it's not that hard to manage.  the woman never got any where near the coast line and there's no wire under the water.  It has nothing to do with her.
