So what? Drunk drivers kill people with their cars all the time.

The point is, you can't blame inanimate objects for people's wrong behaviors. You ALWAYS go after the people, first - that way you don't f*ck with responsible owners' freedoms.

So why can’t I own hand grenades, missile launchers and nuclear bombs? They’re only inanimate objects, right?

Umm - bill clinton was president in 1994 and organized that. You know - from the people who brought you 'i didn't have sexual relations with that woman".  :)

Guns kill people in the same way spoons make people fat.

Bill Clinton organized that, and he proceeded to effectively sue and regulate tobacco nearly out of business.  Clinton saved millions of lives in the process.

None of those can be used with reasonable safety in a civilian setting.  But you CAN own explosives privately if you get the proper training and certifications.

Yes - there's no tobacco companies left today, you're right.

Sigh.

Because they are too destructive and imprecise. You want to take out the intruder/bad guy not blow up half the city.

As opposed to gunning down 20 or so school kids. You need to be precise to do that.

Good. You already see how clumsy and stupid your counterargument is.

Machine guns are more precise and they don't blow stuff up. They are relevant to a 2nd Amendment supporter.

Exactly.

In the same way that Biden's weakness is provocative, and de-stabilizes the world causing war, America's thirst for drugs and the dire consequences of getting caught with them created a massive opportunity for extreme risk-takers to get wealthy.

This is just a factor of how volatile the combination of "3rd-world-level poverty" and the opportunity to get rich quickly is.

This level of violence and the number of deaths has absolutely nothing to do with guns. If guns were never invented then people would be killing each other with swords just as quickly.

It didn't take the Hutus all year to kill 30,000 people with machetes. They killed that many people every 5 days. There were somewhere between 500,000 and 800,000 people killed in 100 days, mostly with machetes.

Can the Tutsis sue the machete manufacturer?

Some kids/young men would rather drive a truck for 3 hrs to get $200, and take substantial risk, than work in a field for 10 hrs for $10.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Is that a lawful use of the tool? No?

CAN you use that tool responsibly? Yes?

So that really ends that discussion.  What you're mad about is some people misuse things. Kitchen knives hockey sticks cars.. but we don't ban those things or try to sue the manufacturer.

Hey - if guns are what kill, explain this?

In japan today a man was sentenced for the murder of 36 people using FIRE.  NO guns

https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/man-sentenced-to-death-for-arson-attack-at-japanese-anime-studio-that-killed-36-1.6741348

the largest mass murder in the us was not done with a gun.  Nor was the second.

around the world it is common for people to use fire, machetes, vehicles, poison and other instruments as their mass murder tools.

Of course you only hear about it here if there's a gun.  But - what's the common denominator in all those killings?  Is it the gun? NOPE - it's a human. THere's always at least one human involved.

But you don't really give a shit about people dying.  You can kill 100 kids as long as you don't shoot them in your world. Your problem isn't with people getting killed it's with  guns . If you could ban guns and the same number of people died each year, you'd be happy with that. And if everyone owned a gun and the killings went down you'd be sad.

Have owned gun for many years. They never killed or harmed anyone. Sold them all last year because according to the anti gun clowns they must all be faulty.

Your counter argument is the body count is acceptable. You really don't care.

I'll take mine thanks.

No it isn't and you're perfectly happy with body counts as long as they let you virtue signal or aren't firearm related.

Anyone who cares about body counts focuses on dealing with the killers no matter what tools they prefer

Refresh my memory, when was the last mass murder committed with a spoon?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Punjab_sweet_poisoning

2016 - 33 dead, guy mixed poison into sweets by mistake and killed a bunch of people.

So - do we ban spoons or sweets? It's unclear to me.

Also i believe robin hood's nemisis in prince of thieves used a dull one when he was really mad at people :)

But they use fire, they use needles, they use knives they use poison, baseball bats are popular, machetes and similar, cars and trucks are HUGELY  popular, gasoline and even sprayers filled with acid.

Why am I not hearing you ask for bans on that?  Is it because you're a bit of a hypocrite?
