"Calling those charged in the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol "hostages" is a grotesque comparison, the White House said on Monday after Republican former President Donald Trump called for those jailed over the riot to be released.

"It is grotesque to make those type of comparison," White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard Air Force One just days after the third anniversary of Trump supporters' 2021 attack as legislators were certifying President Joe Biden's 2020 election victory."

Not sure I'd call them hostages, but they're definitely political prisoners.

The left has turned the DNC into banana lunatics who answer only to globalist dictators. I hope Trump will be up to the task of putting these cultists down - it isn't 2016 anymore and he's 8 years older. It might be time for someone like Vivek Ramaswamy to step in as leader of the free world.

BULLSHlT!!!
They are convicted criminals.  They violently attacked police officers.  They were convicted by juries in Federal courts in accordance with the law. There is NOTHING political about it. Zero. They are allowed to believe anything they want. They are allowed to say anything they want. But they cannot violently attack police officers and storm the halls of Congress.  It’s against the law.

How did you come up with a stoopid name like that anyways? Didn't you have enough foresight to know how easy it would be to help you look even dumber than you already are? lol

They were convicted by left-wing lunatics and I expect full pardons in January next year. ;)

It's all political. Nothing by political.

That would probably be more accurate.  I mean = it's not like the white house has asked for money for them or anything. Or offered their release if trump gives them something.

Prisoners is more accurate.

They’re prisoners because they’ve been convicted of crimes. And we saw the police officers getting beat sprayed, nested with doors, speared, punched, and more.

So was ghandi, mandella, lots of people.  Didn't mean they weren't political prisoners,

And?   We saw that kind of stuff nightly during the "mostly peacefu' riots of 2021 as well.

to be frank - i think the vast majority of the charges are  legit. There's a few like the 'conspiracy' ones which really feel just a little politically motivated.

But i think we can both agree 'hostages' is probably off the table :)

I expect...once Barry's administration is disposed of...that most of the jailed from January 6th will be pardoned and freed.

Gandhi, Mandela and MLK didn’t beat police officers in the head with fire extinguishers.

Sure they did.  Here's some info on Mandella, who advocated for violence where necessary

Quote

Although Mandela advocated non-violent resistance to apartheid during his early years in the African National Congress in the late 1940s and early 1950s, his position on violence shifted.

in 1960 he became one of the founders of the organization’s armed wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe, which launched sabotage attacks against government facilities.. Two years later he imprisoned. He spent 27 years in prison.

“My answer to the question would be that violence is justifiable when one can confidently predict that the violence that one is deploying will eliminate a greater evil, but that’s always a very difficult judgment to make,”

https://hls.harvard.edu/today/honor-nelson-mandela-ever-violence-justifiable-struggles-political-social-change-video/

Mandella wasn't afraid to use violence or acts of destruction where it seemed appropriate.

Epic fail on your part there.

And lets remember -the protest was 'Mostly peaceful' :)

The assassination of John Kennedy was “entirely peaceful,” except for the gunshots.

That would be how the democrats see the world :)  Other than the fires, the assualts, the killings and the 4 billion in destruction, the blm protests were 'entirely peaceful '  :)

Honestly you can't make that crap up :)
