Hypocrisy of liberalism at the time of critical challenge

Hamas is using in its war on Israel a simple, dictator fascist method: make the population, as much of it as possible, all of it, if possible a hostage and an instrument of its war. Hitler used it. North Korea used it. Putin is using it. Hamas saw the successes and is using it too.

In this obvious ethical context, what would be a simple, morally correct answer to this situation?

Would an immediate ceasefire have stopped Hitler in 1943 and 1944? Or make the way for even longer and bloodier war?

Would a ceasefire stop Putin on his bloody path to control the neighbors and destroy, effectively, then physically, the unity and power of the West?

Obvious.

So who are the people who are marching and screaming for phantom, impossible "peace" with brutal fascist aggressors, totally blinding themselves to the stark and obvious reality? Is their prosperity of excess and self-indulgence promised and assured by some supreme force?

What and where is the magic button that would "just stop it", a baby tantrum style?

Who and what will deliver them when the tyrants and aggressors come to them, to their cities and homes? Who to appeal to, march for, make solemn claims?

Will they go out and fight for their freedom and the world's as their ancestors did?

Blind. Ignorant and entitled. Full of ourselves. We just forgot what it is, and what it takes. Well, the evolution is always there to take care of such cases.

Meh.  If only it were as clear as WWII as to who the good guys and bad guys are.  Of course, in your black and white world, Hamas is Hitler and everyone who dares to criticize what Israel has done for decades is a Nazi sympathizer.  It must be so easy to live in your brain and always have good vs evil be so easy to discern.

Echoing the previous comment, and asking why is it that your disagreement with peacenik types reflects as liberalism's hypocrisy?

I'm guessing that you mean Democrat here, who are split in support between Israel and Hamas.

To add: who the good guys were in WW2 wasn't always clear either.  The world banned one of our good guy tactics that we did in Dresden and Japan.  Israeli has dusted off the playbook and is using it now.

It seemed clear enough to General Patton - does retrospect plus hindsight equal regret? Oh well, it probably would have just resulted in a different no less surreal dystopia.

I don't remember what I was thinking about with that comment specifically, but likely it was simply acts of war against civilians which was still fair game then.

Actually it wasn't, they simply justified it a necessary. That's why Herman Goering was an evil shit and Bomber Harris and Curtis LeMay were good guy heroes.
Maybe the xo called "right" could rejoice if Israel just pulled out and fire-bombed all Gaza instead.
