If I were an American and someone even halfway sane like de Santis, Haley or even Christie were the candidate I would definitely vote Republcan. But never with Trump there. I regard Trump as an existential danger to the entire West. But let's not forget how goofy the Republicans are, too. their ludicrous tax proposals that keep increasing the deficit are also a danger to America. Their insistence that the US can't afford the kinds of social programs every other western nation takes for granted is just dumb. They spend more on healthcare than anyone else, by far, avoiding 'socialism', and get less for it. Starting a war with the US is not going to happen. They saw what happened to Iraq and Afghanistan and they know we'd turn Tehran into a pile of rubble within an hour of any attack they make on us. And they especially know what happened to Saddam Hussein. I certainly don't like the idea of waging war against a nation of 160 million, but the leaders of Iran know exactly what would happen to them personally if they attack us or if they fund a terrorist attack against us.
