Why is US so rich?

Disagree. Strongly.

You Americans have a federal constitution that protects State government rights.

The US is not a single country or a single State like France or the UK. It is 50 small countries.

I don't think that you Americans quite understand this - or why your society/federal country is so successful.

Nobody cares if you disagree "strongly".  You're not making an articulate argument.

They did not hold a referendum under any occupation. You really will believe anything the msm tells you no matter how stupid. Sad...

Yes they did, smooth-brain.  Russian troops were on the ground, supported by Russian tanks, Russian missile launchers, Russian helicopters etc. That's why the referendums were discredited around the world.  Nobody acknowledged them as legit, because the conditions for a legitimate referendum were impossible.

It's hard to understate how absent your critical thinking skills are.  There are few people on this forum less capable of original thought than you.  You don't do anything but repeat what the clowns you follow on youtube say, and as long as it's something you LIKE, then that's your reality, no matter how ****ing nonsensical it is.

Lol...2...count 'em...2 referendums. And each time the same result. And both times the losers claim interference.

Interesting that a contested democratic process is ok in Ukraine, but against the law all of the sudden here. ?

They voted 2 times for what they wanted. Both times the response has been to attack the towns of those provinces.

One begins to wonder if maybe you libbies shouldn't have been spanked more often as kids? You ignore the obvious when it suits you, warp reality to suit you, turn the justice system upside down, invite millions of "refugees" into the country, trash energy production, create unnecessary inflation, tax the hell out of everyone, and sell a war you have no intention of bloodying your own hands in but willingly finance a killing field.

It's sickening to watch this circus of lies and destruction. Nothing good can ever come of what you're doing. But like insane religious jealots, you march on with your protest signs and your women always in the forefront.  Typical nerdy little social flops.

This "war" can only end in 1 of 3 ways:

1. Common sense takes hold and a cease fire is negotiated.

2. Ukraine is destroyed and turned into a collection of satellites of  Russia, Poland and perhaps other states.

3. WWIII.

And your cult...yes it's a true cult...actually choose WWIII.

Orwelian little shits.

That is a lie and also show you lnow nothing about how the world actually works. First of all the Russian-controlled separatists attacked Ukraine with weapons and soldiers supplied by Russia first, not the other way around. Second of all a referendum especially a corrupt and rigged Russian one doesn’t automatically entitle a state to leave it’s country.

No the feds were prepared to start negotiations on separation terms  but they weren’t obligated to do anything. And even if Québec votes to separate it  certainly wouldn’t have entitled France or any other to invade and arm a secessionist rebel/terrorist army.

BS. Russian is no juggernaut it ranks 52 in the world in GDP per capita well below Canada and most of the developed world. It is already struggling financially to continue this war and its military resources are steadily degrading. Even in Putin’s brutal dictatorship the public doesn’t have infinite tolerance for ongoing crushing economic sanctions, conscription and casualties in the hundreds of thousands. Sooner or later someone is going to take Putin out.

Omg you’re just a parrot repeating kremlin lies. You think America’s elections are rigged and Putin’s elections are fair. You are truly Putin’s useful idi0t and clearly the cult member with the fringe minority beliefs and wild conspiracies.

"April 2014

With some 40,000 Russian troops gathered on Ukraine's eastern border, violence breaks out in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas — violence that continues to this day. Russian-supported separatist forces storm government buildings in two eastern regions, Donetsk and Luhansk. They declare independence from Ukraine as the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic, though they remain internationally recognized as part of Ukraine. Russia denies that its troops are on Ukrainian soil, but Ukrainian officials insist otherwise."

It's interesting how the MSM never says which side began the shooting. So Russian troops not in Ukraine...the people of the region overwhelmingly vote for independence...and a war breaks out. It's pretty obvious who began the war and why.

None of your squirming and screaming will ever change that.

Your Gawd is not even alive. You worship lies, death, destruction and fear. You are Gawdless and doomed.

I have no idea if Russian elections are fair. I doubt they are but neither of us really knows and what's that got to do with this? Try to stay focused Beave.

but even if Putin were to be deposed at some point

that doesn't mean that Russia will capitulate

Putin is actually the moderate

as the opposition to Putin is even more extreme, not less

it's the Communists on the left and the Nationalists on the right

thus, whatever government is running the Kremlin, they will also go to war over control of the Black Sea

Because the referendum was run by the Russians, and a Russian-run vote is about as worthwhile as it is in North Korea.  The result is the same every time, no matter what.  Putin/Great Leader wins every time.  How dumb are you to believe this is worth anything?

My argument is simple.

Countries with lower population have higher GDP per capita.

The exception is the United States. Why? The US is a truly federal state.

Under the US Constitution, California (for example) is a "country" with 30 million people.

Even in Canada - a place with 30 million people - we also organise ourselves this way. We have provinces.

Your argument is wrong, and you can go look at places like Mongolia or, say, Nauru to show you how wrong it is.

Moonbox,

I am not arguing that countries with small populations are always rich.

I am arguing that countries with small populations are often rich.

Correlation is not causation, as they say.

The US is curious.

I can equally argue that countries with small populations are often poor.

The correlation you draw is a rather useless observation, beyond the obvious reality that overpopulation beyond what resources can support is bad.

The Netherlands are a densely populated country - yet by world standards, it has few people - some 16 million.

Canada has about two times the population of Holland (two regions of the Netherlands) and yet Canada is about the size of Russia.

China, India, Nigeria, Indonesia have large populations - yet many people are poor.

My conclusion? Geographic size, population or population density don't matter. Government matters.

====

The US is the only large population country with a high GDP per capita

Why?

The US is a federal state with a constitution protecting the autonomy of state governments. In the US, a state governor can tell the US President to go to hell.

In Canada, we apply the idea differently - here, education is a provincial issue.

A dubious conclusion based on nothing but your random musings.  The wide disparity in wealth by state within the US should throw your conclusion out the door, but you're working backwards here.  You formed your conclusion to start, and now you're just looking for whatever you can find to fit it.
