Trudeau has a lot of direct control over global inflation and crime rates? That's even more retarded than what you imagined I'm arguing. And, no, this is C.A.N.A.D.A . The whole 'global' thing was your distraction. Trudeau is directly responsilbe for cimre rates in C.A.N.A.D.A. This goes a lot faster if you pay attention.' Honestly goldfish have better attention spans than you do. But if it's any help, yes .... trudeau definitely has a lot to do with inflation in CANADA. So.... you brought up something nobody was talking about and then tried to argue against yourself Puppy - meet tail So - back to reality, trudeau had a TONNE of direct influence over our crime rates, with specific laws that he passed contributing to it greatly, AND he had a lot of influence on inflation too which is hilarious considering you brought that up to be the big distraction LOLOL!!! This "thinking" thing... just not working out for you is it. Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

We knew this would happen decades ago by studying rats in overcrowded, stressful conditions. But yeah, it's the Liberal Party's fault, like inflation. I don't think it's all their fault and likely not even mostly their fault given other systemic issues, but the laws and even some of the judges are a contributing factor. Similar situation to inflation, there's various factors where systemic ones are almost certainly the main cause but things like housing policy, carbon taxes, minimum wage increases, big increases to migration numbers etc haven't helped inflation. Nexii Posted August 11, 2023 Report Posted August 11, 2023 (edited) Yea it's absurd. 9 years for an unprovoked murder. Scary times. https://globalnews.ca/news/9693482/prabhjot-singh-katri-cameron-prosper-sentencing/ This sort of thing needs to be 20 years minimum, and that's with good behavior, remorse etc. Though I dare to say if it was a young white woman they wouldn't have downgraded the charge Edited August 11, 2023 by Nexii Quote

You would have to invoke the notwithstanding clause when you wrote the law, and the libs have painted themselves into a corner in that regard claiming it's the worst thing you can do when ford did it. So i'm not sure how they'd change it, Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
Nexii Posted August 11, 2023 Report Posted August 11, 2023 I'm not a believer in mandatory minimums, judges should be able to consider mitigating factors. But there really weren't any in this case to warrant any less than 20 years. Knives are nearly as lethal as firearms but we treat them much less seriously Quote

So if you're not willing to look at telling the judges what is expected of them, then this is what you'll be getting. And every now and again a judge will set the bar lower. It's not going to go up after all. Personally i'd rather stipulate extended jail time for this kind of crime.
