Lets see what happens.

I think the results from the midterms has emboldened him a bit. I think most of the rest of the party hopes he steps down so we'll see if they pressure him into it

Absolutely not. No way.
It doesn’t matter what Hunter Biden did. Only if it’s proven that Joe knowingly accepted cash. Then, yes, he’s done, because Democrats have far more integrity than Republicans.  But Hunter can go to jail for killing 100 people and it won’t affect Joe’s standing.

You're either LYING or IGNORANT. Just as much COVID relief was spent during the Trump admin, and he was RESPONSIBLE for some of the largest super-spreader events, not to mention LYING about the situation to the American people as REVEALED ON WOODWARD'S taped convos.

Yeah - pretty much all untrue.  And it's typical of you that you need to lie to try to make your point.

Bet you don't even know what he said ON TAPE. LMAO

Woodward tapes show Trump knew the dangers of COVID-19 but downplayed it

Of course he downplayed it. He didn't want panic.

Meanwhile democrats like Coumo were killing old people by sending them back to old age care facilities still infected :)

But that doesn't help  - remember that's ON TOP of the very high rates previously. This is a COMPOUNDING issue.

So - if previously the us had 10 percent inflation and now it has four - that four is ALSO on the 10 previously.  so if you had 5 last year and 5 this year - you'd be FAR better off than someoen with 10 last year and  2 this year.

So sure, now that biden is spending a little less it's starting to fall to where it should be, but that doesn't change the huge amount it went up before, and that's not going down.

Plus they're raising interest rates to help bring it down - which means a  lot of people are going to get hurt financially and they'll probably see a recession.

Biden has TOTALLY trashed them. And there was absolutely no need for it.

Yeah, that was HIS EXCUSE for LYING ABOUT IT. In fact he downplayed it because he thought it would help HIS CAMPAIGN. You are a FOOL if you believe Trump does anything which does NOT serve HIS INTERESTS.

Ironically, IF he had been straight and dealt with the pandemic intelligently, he probably would have won re-election.

Sorry kiddo - facts are facts :)  That's why you keep looking like an !diot whenever we talk and why people keep laughing at you ?   But don't feel bad, most of the people here are better than you, it's not just me at all.

And yes that was his excuse for downplaying the severity of it. ANd how woudl that help his campaign? He'd have done much better saying it was a horrible thing that only he could solve and scare people into voting for him. You're weird.

And the fact the left was killing people at the time is not irrelevent.  Biden called Cuomo a hero - they all knew what he was doing. They just covered it up.

And your denal of reality does not change the fact that UNNECESSARILY HIGH inflation  caused by biden has deeply hurt the people and made life much much less affordable.

You’re the one who looks like an ldiot.
Inflation is a global phenomenon and it’s lower in the USA than virtually every other nation. So Biden’s doing a great job managing inflation, and unemployment and interest rates and, yes, the annual deficit, which he’s cut by over 50%, something no Republican President has ever done.

Ya know what? You're right. Inflation is a global phenomenon...or global problem...maybe both. Why?

The Rona? The response to The Rona? So most...not every...nations shut themselves down. In order to keep people afloat, they literally printed money based on...trust and faith in our currencies. And once it became clear lockdowns were the wrong response...people were so freaked out, that they actually insisted on prolonged lockdowns. So...the governments printed even more money.

At the same time, these...learned leaders...decided to declare war on our primary source of energy. Between these 2 acts, our transportation systems broke down and the prices of everything rose drastically.

Thus...some inflationary pressures were unavoidable...perhaps...but what the western leaders have done has been to rub salt in an open economic wound.

And these...are the bald faced facts.

Oh BTW...cutting what was a gross abuse of national finance, is not a lot to brag about. Especially when it was Biden who grossly abused national finance.

well that's just a lie. Do you need me to spell it out? The stuff i've already posted from reliable sources shows you're wrong for the inflation and no, he didn't cut the deficit in half - and his deficits are still the highest in history for any non covid year.

Why do you feel the need to lie about that stuff?  Is it because you're so ashamed of biden?

No, as always, your imagined "war on oil" is not a factor in inflation. Everyone (sane) wants off the stuff, for myriad reasons, but wishes and dreams don't drive commodity prices.

As had been explained many times, there is no magic at work and no secret price drivers. It's very well documented. People weren't driving during the pandemic. Demand for gas fell off a cliff. Supply was cut. Marginal providers went out of business. Facilities were mothballed, the employees that made the plants run were laid off. And, as always, demand retuned much faster than supply could respond. Prices surged. That's how fuel prices contributed to inflation.

A. "Stomp on" is ridiculous language. And in no way reflective of reality. We've had this conversation before. Remember? You can't name a single government action that constrained actual supply over the last few years.

B. The numbers tell the story. You don't have to make up an explanation. We know exactly what happened to gas prices and inflation.

“A former F.B.I. intelligence analyst from Kansas received nearly four years in prison on Wednesday in a case that bears parallels to that of former President Donald J. Trump, including the same charge of willful retention of national security secrets.

The analyst, Kendra Kingsbury, 50, was accused of improperly removing and unlawfully taking home about 386 classified documents to her personal residence in Dodge City, Kan. She pleaded guilty to two counts of violating the Espionage Act.

During her sentencing hearing in Federal District Court in Kansas City, Mo., Ms. Kingsbury said she was loyal and did not apologize for taking the records.

Some of the documents would have revealed the “government’s most important and secretive methods of collecting essential national security intelligence,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo, adding that she removed sensitive documents during the more than 12 years she worked in the F.B.I.’s office in Kansas City.

Her case and punishment, and others like it involving violations of the Espionage Act, reflect how seriously the government takes such charges and offer a glimpse of how aggressively the Justice Department might pursue its case against Mr. Trump.

Ms. Kingsbury’s punishment, prosecutors said, should reflect her behavior. They wrote in the memo that the “defendant was more than reckless or careless with the trust that was placed in her by the F.B.I.”

Before he sentenced Ms. Kingsbury, Judge Stephen R. Bough of Federal District Court agreed with prosecutors that “we will never ever know what took place.”

It needs to be consistent. Either we throw ALL classified document holders in jail, or we disallow the possession of classified ducuments altogther.

By that logic every president since 2009 reduced the deficit.

And 2009 - that was obama with biden as vice right?

Quote

Deficits INCREASED every year under Trump.

They do with every president outside of wartime or pandemic. Population grows and the deficit spending that the US has become used to goes with it to remain proportional.

Quote

Deficits DECREASED every year under Biden

Nope.  They went up in 2020 they went up in 2021.

Then they went down after the pandemic for 2022 - But it looks like 2023 is going to be the worst year ever:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-04-12/us-budget-deficit-widens-to-1-1-trillion-in-fiscal-half-year#xj4y7vzkg

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-government-posts-378-billion-deficit-march-2023-04-12/

And that's before any kind of recession hits. The economy is already slowing down thanks to interest hikes - so this year's record deficit may be the tip of the iceberg.

So in the end it will have gone down ONE year for biden as the pandemic ends and up any other year.

Tsk tsk tsk - see what happens when we resort to dishonesty to try to make our point?  LOL - imagine pretending covid never happened :P

People being "worked up" is a bit of fiction. Do you make any of your business decisions based on how Joe Biden feels or what he wants? No?

Well, neither to the CEOs of some of the world's largest and most profitable multinational corporations.

Markets respond to actions and real factors, not to wishes and feelings. Most people want to get off of fossil fuels, for all sorts of reasons. We'd all love cheap, renewable energy free of geopolitical entanglements.

Wrong. Of course people are going to get worked up when the President of the United States announces that he will end fossil fuels - only a complete liar would try to deflect something like that.

Markets respond to mask mandates and lockdowns, as evidenced by CDC's mask mandates and lockdowns. We stopped making cars, for goddsake - doesn't get more real than that. Doesn't get more real stupid than that, either.

Of course, POTUS has insufficient power to do what you claim Biden "announced," due to serving a term much SHORTER than REQUIRED.

And MOST OTHER people KNOW THAT.

There was a shortage of advanced chips, but production did NOT stop.

Hey, look, you kinda get it.

Markets do respond to meaningful actions and meaningful forecasts. A mask mandate boosted 3M stock. That's a real thing.

Markets don't respond to hopes and dreams. Joe Biden's intellectual and emotional support for a clean don't affect markets or petroleum production.

Case in point, oil production plunged in the last year of the Trump administration. Trump has no interest in clean energy. People just weren't buying gas. Oil production then rebounded under the Biden administration, because people started buying gas again, and regardless of Biden's interest in clean energy.

^^ It's almost like supply and demand move the market instead of the president's feelings.

And auto production dropped because people stopped buying cars (as they would during an economic crisis which also reduced travel) and ramping back up was difficult due to the supply chain disruption. Had zero to do with Biden.

How the COVID-19 semiconductor shortage has brought Canada's car industry to a halt — again

COVID-19 shut down 93% of all US auto production

Sorry but you were dead wrong there.
