Rebound Posted June 22, 2023 Report Posted June 22, 2023 “A former F.B.I. intelligence analyst from Kansas received nearly four years in prison on Wednesday in a case that bears parallels to that of former President Donald J. Trump, including the same charge of willful retention of national security secrets. The analyst, Kendra Kingsbury, 50, was accused of improperly removing and unlawfully taking home about 386 classified documents to her personal residence in Dodge City, Kan. She pleaded guilty to two counts of violating the Espionage Act. During her sentencing hearing in Federal District Court in Kansas City, Mo., Ms. Kingsbury said she was loyal and did not apologize for taking the records. Some of the documents would have revealed the “government’s most important and secretive methods of collecting essential national security intelligence,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo, adding that she removed sensitive documents during the more than 12 years she worked in the F.B.I.’s office in Kansas City. Her case and punishment, and others like it involving violations of the Espionage Act, reflect how seriously the government takes such charges and offer a glimpse of how aggressively the Justice Department might pursue its case against Mr. Trump. Ms. Kingsbury’s punishment, prosecutors said, should reflect her behavior. They wrote in the memo that the “defendant was more than reckless or careless with the trust that was placed in her by the F.B.I.” Before he sentenced Ms. Kingsbury, Judge Stephen R. Bough of Federal District Court agreed with prosecutors that “we will never ever know what took place.” https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/21/us/politics/fbi-analyst-prison-classified-documents.html Quote @reason10: “Hitler had very little to do with the Holocaust.”

Rebound Posted June 22, 2023 Author Report Posted June 22, 2023 Since 2018, there have been about a dozen criminal prosecutions of people retaining classified or national defense information. Lt. Col. Robert Birchum was accused in Florida of mishandling classified documents and was charged with violating the Espionage Act. Mr. Birchum, 55, a highly decorated Air Force intelligence officer, took full responsibility. He cooperated with investigators. Mr. Birchum got three years in prison when he was sentenced this month. Two former analysts at the National Security Agency — Harold Martin and Nghia Hoang Pho — received nine years and five and a half years in prison, respectively, for taking classified information home. In April, Jeremy Brown, 48, a former Special Forces sergeant, was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison for retention of classified information as well as other crimes. Because there’s a law that says ex-Presidents can break any law they want, and they can share Classified information with anybody, and defy court orders and lie to the FBI in order to evade a subpoena? Please show us that law. Cause when Judge Cannon ruled that a Special Master should be appointed to oversee Trump’s classified document theft — because he’s an ex-President — a three-judge, Trump-appointed appellate court slapped her down. They ruled that there is no law which creates special rules or laws for ex-Presidents. Is the truth sinking in yet? Quote @reason10: “Hitler had very little to do with the Holocaust.”

Pathetic. 100% of the evidence proves this man stole the most highly classified government secrets, he admitted that he did not de-classify them, he showed them to unauthorized people, he hid them from a lawful court-ordered subpoena. He collided with others to hide them from the government and even his own lawyers. Zero reason why he should not go to jail, as others have, even others who cooperated with government investigators completely. Quote @reason10: “Hitler had very little to do with the Holocaust.”

Biden has trashed the economy and driven many americans to poverty with his runaway inflation driven largely by his spending policies. And those prices wont' be going down during the recession to follow. Meanwhile trade isn't going well, his covid response was horrific, and he frequently drifts off or falls asleep during public events. Or just falls. That's why his ratings are so low. Trump is polling neck and neck with him. Biden is failing miserably. Trump is hot on his heels. IF trump takes the nomination it could easily go either way 1 Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Just as much COVID relief was spent during the Trump admin, and he was RESPONSIBLE for some of the largest super-spreader events, not to mention LYING about the situation to the American people as REVEALED ON WOODWARD'S taped convos. Bet you don't even know what he said ON TAPE. LMAO Woodward tapes show Trump knew the dangers of COVID-19 but downplayed it And US is 16th out of the G20 in inflation NOW.
