As a fundamentalist who worships Christ should you befriend a Catholic who doesn't follow the bible or will it mess with your beliefs? Should you befriend a Muslim?

Do you follow the bible in every way?

As an agnostic with degenerate apatheist tendencies I try to treat all religions with equal indifference. However due to my Catholic elementary school attendence I am probably more prejudiced against that mindless cult.

I grew up in the Catholic faith. It was considered a sin to enter a Protestant Church. (The sin being "taking part in Non Catholic worship.) The Koran begins by calling for the DEATH of non Muslims.

A person's place of worship is NOT by itself a reason for me to be his/her friend or NOT be his/her friend. I don't judge people on that basis. I just want friends who are intelligent, law abiding and having a few things in common with me. That's a pretty easy test to pass.

My wife is a born again Christian. Am a non practicing catholic.

We employ the art of not shoving our beliefs or non beliefs down each others throats.

Adversely, I have been open to go to a mass with her, but never felt pressured to convert.

She knows I don't believe in God, but again, I respect her beliefs.

I see it no different than my Muslim friends, Islamic, etc.

I don't think the issue is the difference of religion.

I think its the arrogance some have in that their religion or non belief trumps all other opinions.

The latter is where I see immense clashing being the norm.

As a nearly lifelong atheist.. I make it very simple. You leave me alone and I will leave you alone. I will be respectful to you as long as you are respectful to me and therefore keep your religion to yourself.

If I tell you you're going to hell is that okay?

It’s rude, and insulting, but it’s allowed. It’s like calling someone a c-u-n-t unprovoked.  Sure, you can do it….   but why?
