Liberal MP Mary Ng seems to think that criticizing the Supreme leader is racist

Virtually any Chinese-Canadian with loved ones still in China can be intimidated and blackmailed whether they like it or not.  It's a major national security concern.  This is a fact and its unfortunate, but a fact that isn't politically correct doesn't make it less true.

I have no idea how they should deal with this problem.  We need to be fair to people and do our best not to racially stereotype, but also recognize risks where they exist.  That's a tough line to straddle.

It's not racist in any way and it's a sad attempt by Mary Ng and Trudeau to deflect attention. Clearly she does not want to offend China in any way.

If you're going to accuse something of racism, shouldn't you have to validate the statement with proof?

"Have to support China here", as the saying went. But look, if you never had to explain plain common sense of what you're saying ("travel from Wuhan not a problem here") wouldn't you end up one fine morning speaking gibberish abracadabra, mostly or only? Why wouldn't you, if you can?
