Perspektiv
There are typically songs, and even at times entire albums in your playlist that just have never managed to get old. Either they just resonate with you in a certain way, or you just really like that particular sound. What song(s) have stood the test of time for you? Perspektiv
Quite a few for me. Dredg - Zebraskin I mean, that song takes me way back. Never has gotten old to me.
Perspektiv
I also have always loved many others, from quite a few genres. Buju Banton - Action To Isis - Dulcinea and everything in between.
August1991
IMHO, people mostly remember songs/melodies from their youth. Or books/novels they discovered when they were teenagers. But some music or stories stand the test of time. ==== Nowadays, no one remembers Arnold Bennett; but everyone remembers a melody of Mozart. Or one of the stories of Somerset Maugham. August1991
They (Keanu Reeves?) say a person dies twice: First, when the person dies. Second, when everyone stops thinking of the person. ===== Notoriety is one thing. The person's idea another.
impartialobserver
3 songs I still listen to 30+ years later Ball and Chain - Social distortion Like Cockatoos - The Cure Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
Perspektiv
Urbandub - No Ordinary Love. Its a cover for Sade's hit single, but in my opinion is better than the original. But it more or less reminds me of the first time I ever landed in the Philippines. They're superstars in their native country, but it was them who introduced me to the wealth of talent from that country.
Perspektiv
Biffy Clyro is another band I discovered while traveling. My Recovery Injection has stood the test of time and then some for me.

It's either Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky. If you don't know, guess one of the three. You're 90% chance to sound smart.
