The leader submitted an emergency mutual aid request to New York State for immediate help this weekend to shelter the asylum seekers. "We are at our breaking point. Based off our projections, we anticipate being unable to continue sheltering arriving asylum seekers on our own and have submitted an emergency mutual aid request to the State of New York beginning this weekend," he said in a statement. "This type of request, reserved only for dire emergencies, asks the state for support to shelter arriving asylum seekers as the city faces an immediate need for additional capacity. Our initial request is for shelter to accommodate 500 asylum seekers, but, as New York City continues to see numbers balloon, this estimate will increase as well." Gee! The Trump policy of making these people apply for asylum in their OWN COUNTRIES was working out pretty well. And by the way, I wouldn't have a family until I could afford to feed and support them. In fact, I HAVE a family that I HAVE fed and supported and worked for. And in every shee ite hole country those animals hail from, there are breadwinners for each FAMILY who are working and supporting their families. Just because an animal wants to illegal enter a country, carry dope for a cartel and get on American welfare doesn't mean his family is starving. TRY THIS on that non existent brain of yours. These animals actually made it through several hundreds of miles of Central American JUNGLES. What fed them and kept them alive during that? How did they emerge from that ordeal with fresh clean clothes and even CHARGED CELL PHONES? At some point, you're REALLY going to have to grow a brain. Most people have no problem with LEGAL immigrants, those who wait their turn, learn English and have a skill that will allow them to work in this country and support themselves. Texas, Arizona, Fla etc have been saying that for years, but now that a prominent black Democrat is saying it, right in the middle of the country's biggest Dem stronghold, it can't be ignored any longer. This announcement was neatly timed though, just after the mid-terms and 1.5 years before the next federal election. The Demmies have some time to adopt more GOP policies to right the ship somewhat before the next election and their credulous dolt horde will buy it, just like they bought the "re-fund police" idea in NY.
