All of this could’ve been averted, including the occupation in Ottawa and certainly the Emergencies Act, if Trudeau had the balls to meet with protest organizers and hammer out a reasonable compromise, as Harper and Chrétien would’ve done.  Failed leadership.

the Truckers wouldn't have rebelled against either Harper nor Chretien

but if they did, they would have been crushed much earlier on

in the case of Harper, unlike Trudeau, he would have the rank & file of both the police & military onside

Harper was quite happy to crush the protests at the G20 in Toronto, Bill Blair leading that assault as well btw

then Chretien was a street fighting thug, he brooked no resistance whatsoever, he'd choke the protesters himself

Chrétien on the use of pepper spray: “As for me, I put pepper on my plate.”  How can you not like that folksy guy?  Sort of ridiculous but decent.

it's the British Empire, old bean

what the protesters were demanding is an anathema to Canada

the protesters are as Americanized as most Canadians now

so they were demanding American freedom

the very thing Canada was made to be a bulwark against

it's like Veterans 4 Freedom

I support them, I love them, they are my brothers

but they are coming over to the American side, by even attempting what they did

hence why it was so popular in America, Sean Hannity & Tucker Carlson behind them all the way

all my American friends were with the Truckers, they were genuinely inspired

Americanizarion is tearing Canada apart at the seams, it's Democrats v. Republicans by proxy

Trudeau is running against the Republicans, because his base are pseudo Democrats

this is catastrophic for Canada, the nightmare scenario coming to pass as always feared by the Dominion

so of course the aristocratic elites in Canada are panicking, this is the breach in real time

Canada is literally dissolving away into nothing, under the onslaught of the Reb Menace

In times of crisis you quickly realize who your friends are, who stands for freedom, who to turn to for real safety, etc.  I think that those who were paying attention or exposed to the unconstitutional threats learned that the biggest threats to freedom, democracy, and prosperity are not as advertised.  There’s a pile-on against individualism and individual rights.  Who represents those?  How much freedom is the state willing to take from people to protect its authority, even when the state is violating constitutional rights and undermining its credibility?

Canadians don’t have as many rights as they thought they did and the government plays loose with those rights.  I realized to my surprise that no Canadian parties succeeded in that fight.  The Republicans from the south were the last bastion of the American Dream.

decorated combat arms veterans called a stand to

that is only invoked in the breach

when the brothers call for help in dire straits, you feel it in your heart

if you don't answer the call, you are a coward

that's how I was raised, by the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps, in a Canada long ago

I'd also say, as a 48th Highlander, I am a shit disturber by nature

the 48th was a rebellious unit

we were only loyal to the Colonel-in-Chief

for the Queen, we were zealots

for the Department of National Defence, not so much

mutiny of course being a Highland tradition

Highlanders being the subjugated former sworn enemies of the Crown

Dileas Gu Brath

"Faithful Forever"

faith being in God himself, not the Government of Canada

when you march in on regimental church parade at St Andrew's

you turn to the left to face Three Kings above

oi, Zeitgeist, see this

Sgt. Ozwald Reece of the 48th Highlanders of Canada

he was one of my mentors, he was RQ when I joined

man,  we had some great times, everybody loved Ozzie

such a classic 48th,  he's the black guy who paved the way for all the other black guys to join

pretty soon we had a West Indian mafia amongst all the ex-pat Scots

although Ozzie is actually from French Guyana

this is my Canadian identity, the Fighting Four Dozen, the Glamour Boys we were called in WWII

Well that’s right.  Shake up those bloody English.  I say that of course as a Canadian with dual British citizenship.  Hey man, Prince Charles basically wants the Black colonized nations to express themselves and do what they want with or without Britain, but that’s what makes England so great.  I’m sick of old traditional white stuff.  I want to be on a beach in Jamaica eating jerk chicken and jammin’.   We’re at our best when we maximize freedom and inclusion.  E pluribus unum.

Ha, St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland.  Our Catholic Church is named after him because the Presbyterians donated the land on which our church was built.

the Padre of the 48th Highlanders was Captain The Reverend Dwight Nelson

he was the coolest most bad ass Minister an infantryman could wish for

he was an ex-Biker who found God, Saul becomes Paul on the road to Damascus

he was so approachable, always in amongst the troops, he was a fighting Padre

he didn't thump the Bible, he slipped it in subtly, while he checked on you in the trenches

yet when it came time to stand to for battle, he would invoke the fearsome Scots Protestant Lord

he's the first one to crack my barrier of disbelief, my first Pastor

we were all bound together by being British

it's not a race, it's not a place,  it's the Glorious Revolution of 1688

you can't get much more British than being Jamaican

all my Jamaican brothers in the regiment were just as fiercely loyal to the Colonel-in-Chief as I was

the band never played O Canada, just God Save The Queen & The Regimental March

Look what our federal idiots are up to.  They’re keeping current arrival to Canada measures in place at least until fall.  Honestly Canada as a federation is dysfunctional.  The mayors in Canadian border cities are furious.  Why would Americans bother coming to Canada for the day or weekend?  Just a headache.  In US border cities big digital signs say, “Visiting Canada Requires ArriveCan.”  Requiring ArriveCan is discriminatory against people who don’t own cell phones and the elderly   Trudeau’s government is destroying tourism to Canada.

You’re delusional.  I was just at our airport and border.  What a stupid government.
