I'm really intrigued, this is way more exciting than any under-the-carpet rolling parties in Canadian politics.

Trump is starting the come back campaign. He has a strong base in the Republican party that is oblivious to any facts or logic and one does not need to go far to observe it. If Trump decides to run in 2024 he will have a good chance of being nominated. And that would leave the party with nominating a failed, the only in history twice-impeached candidate or... what? There's no ways or mechanisms to stop a populist figure with loud authoritarian following from nomination, at least as far as I know.

Something to watch, for sure.

Incredible how authoritarian and demonic Donald Trump was. When there was a pandemic, he did not use his powers to impose restrictions on his population. He let riots happen in the streets for almost a year. Black & latino unemployment at all time lows. Gay rights activists were not targeted, and even funded more by the State. There were finally peace talks in the Middle East and in Korea.

All that matters to leftists when they talk about Trump is their own emotions. Talking about facts to them is like talking about geometry with a snake.

The 2022 mid-term election is the most important election in US history.

The 2024 election will just be a scripted reality TV show if the Demonrats get their way on all of their voter-fraud-friendly election reforms.

Trump had his faults as President but also strong points, as in the strength of the economy at least until China shared Covid with the rest of the world. As far as I know, Trump did not weaponize any federal agencies against his opponents unlike the Democrats(IRS,DOJ, FBI etc).

I think any potential candidates on the Republican side are so much better than the dismal bunch of Democrats that ran last time with the exception of Tulsi Gabbard. But with the mail in ballot system that helped Biden last time it will be very difficult for the Dems to lose. Trump got a lot of votes in 2020 but Biden got even more ballots.?

I can't see Biden being around in 2024 because he's clearly not even in charge now.

how they gonna justify all the mail in voting without covid though?

good luck with that one Democrats

I think they may justify the mail-in voting by simply saying it's more convenient and "inclusive". Way less secure too but that's just me.

The Liberals are drooling over this too.

definitely not

not even close

If the Demonrats get control of the Senate the US will be unrecognizable.

There will be a 15-justice SC, fraud-only voting, socialism-level taxation on the disappearing middle class, an end to suburbia, and no border, just for a start.

On the bright side, rioting will be gone, because it will no longer be necessary. You'll actually see a real police state.

they will not pack the supreme court their own senators won't vote for it

they won't get a filibuster proof majority

SCOTUS is 6-3, not much they can do about it

chill out

Why wouldn't they have mail-in voting? They just convinced Americans that it's invulnerable to fraud - even without signature-matching, and even with ballot harvesting. Tens of millions of Americans just did it. To question the legitimacy of mail-in ballots now is to declare the 2020 election a fraud.

You can stay at home and put your ballot in the hands of a political operative, just knowing that they will safely deliver your actual ballot to the polling station. What could be better than that? Elections are safe an easy now.

Good call on the end of the filibuster, I forgot that they were getting rid of that "RACIST" mechanism (that they use more than anyone) as well.

You're correct in saying that their own Senators didn't 'unanimously' vote for it. They still wanted it though, they just couldn't sell packing the court with only 50/50 plus the VP. It's too extreme with such fierce and undivided opposition. If they get 55-45 Senate though, the court will be packed.

The SCOTUS won't stand up to the Congress, the Senate, the POTUS, the MSM, and social media censorship. It's impossible. They'll get called 'racists' and people who argue against it will be censored. They SC will fold like a cheap tent.

nah they won't pack it, some who supported it will change their minds, once they know it will be on their heads

it's political suicide

they can't rid of the filibuster without a filibuster proof majority anyway

it's not going to happen

We'll know what's going to happen in 2024 towards the end of next year.

If Democrats can continue to rig the election system they'll win the midterms hard and life as the free west knows it will end. Think 1984 plus.

If elections are made fair again, the Dems don't just lose, they get shamed in a way they may never recover from, Liberty gets another chance and I don't like the Dems chances in 2024.

the Democrats aren't going to win the mid-terms

they are going to lose the house

it is looking likely they are going to lose the Senate, or at least not gain many seats, if any

mid-terms almost always work against the incumbent POTUS's party

2022 will be no different, regardless of the voting rules

the sky is not falling, if the Democrats don't get wiped out

the importance of these elections are being vastly overrated

2016 was the important election year recently

every American election since then has been far less consequential

as will 2022 and 2024

It certainly told us more about America and Americans than any election had in the recent past.

it was more about the SCOTUS

if Clinton had won

the Supreme Court would have been 6-3 Democrat

but because Trump won, it's 6-3 Republican

Different things.  So far I've been pleasantly surprised by the integrity of the SC.

the POTUS nominates the judges

whoever won in 2016 got to replace three of them

that is why 2016 was so important

and why the elections since have been less important

it told us that if Democrats abandon the working class, particularly in the rust belt

that there is ample room for a Republican to fill that void by stealing their platform

What constitutes 'political suicide' in a democracy is a lot different from what constitutes political suicide under one-party rule.

Do you think that you could blow sunshine up Kim-Jong Un's arse and then get flamed by the NoKo News for it?

The Dems have full control over the mainstream media, social media and the FBI. As long as a sitting Senator or Congressman toes the party line they are celebrated as heroes, evidence to the contrary is verboten, and they are untouchable by law.

The only democrats under fire from the MSM in the US are Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. In Joe's case, he will be lucky to just get primaried because he's considered unbeatable. If I was him I wouldn't accept any invitations to chill with Hillary.
