The Origin of COVID, a Cover-Up: Once Again "Science" is Just a Tool for "Lying"

Recommended Posts

So, back at the beginning of the 'pandemic', sensible people deducted that the likeliest place for covid to have originated from was the BSL4 lab in Wuhan.

It's right at ground zero for the outbreak, they were studying bat coronaviruses - including dangerous "gain of function research", and there are tens of thousands of wet markets all over China so the chances that covid would spring from that exact wet market was far too coincidental.

One of the world's most "highly acclaimed scientific/medical sources", the Lancet, was quick to throw down their criticism of the lab theory back in Feb of 2020, and that put an end to such discussions. The Dems, Biden, and their MSM considered the lab theory to be a 'fringe theory', IE you're a crackpot if you believe such nonsense. Talking about the Wuhan BSL4 lab would get you sent to FB jail, along with any other covid comment that they didn't like, including talking about HCQ, something else that the Lancet attacked: https://www.foxnews.com/science/covid-19-papers-retracted-lancet-new-england-medical-journal

Tucker Carlson, the brightest star by far in the world of television media, summed it all up brilliantly: https://www.foxnews.com/transcript/tucker-some-within-the-us-government-helped-china-coverup

Within minutes of tis thread going up, you can expect an idiotic and inflammatory thread about Trump or the GOP to go up to distract from the conversation about the origin of covid. Who would really care about such a thing anyways?

Ya, at the time, MSM, leftist dolts and Dems said that the china lab theory was racist. In fact, the wet market theory is so stupid because wet markets are all over south Asia .  Anyway, the fact is that it was Obama admins who started to fund the research in china because they changed the laws (Trumps changed it back but it was too late). They banned the "gain of function research" in the US. That was as stupid as funding USSR to do atomic bomb research in WWII.  Now, their talking point is that coronaviruses are a not biological weapon. It is because China was not going to release the weapon to their own people. With that, you can assure the virus was from that lab and it was an accident.

Then, the most stupid thing is that Msm blamed trump for getting the story wrong.

I like to keep an open mind on this matter, but is there any evidence direct or otherwise supporting this theory? I get an impression that some people sincerely believe that just the volume and/or number of words no matter with what meaning, somehow add strength to an argument.

Here's an article that you'll appreciate: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/06/the-lab-leak-theory-inside-the-fight-to-uncover-covid-19s-origins .

It distances this investigation from the right-wing sources who have been considering the lab-leak theory all along, and even makes snotty remarks like: "And yet, in the wake of the Lancet statement and under the cloud of Donald Trump’s toxic racism, which contributed to an alarming wave of anti-Asian violence in the U.S., one possible answer to this all-important question remained largely off-limits until the spring of 2021."

They're clear about making this officially a left-wing cause now, even though it was the Dems and their pitbulls in the MSM and social media that had originally cast this discussion as verboten.

Not surprisingly, when they came over to the right-wing side of the aisle, they suddenly had FACTS on their side. Their mix of shock and elation must have been quite overwhelming. They had this to say:

Quote

a review of hundreds of pages of U.S. government documents, including internal memos, meeting minutes, and email correspondence, found that conflicts of interest, stemming in part from large government grants supporting controversial virology research, hampered the U.S. investigation into COVID-19’s origin at every step. In one State Department meeting, officials seeking to demand transparency from the Chinese government say they were explicitly told by colleagues not to explore the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s gain-of-function research, because it would bring unwelcome attention to U.S. government funding of it.

So these things that Trump was saying at the very start ("we have some evidence that supports the lab leak theory") and that Rand Paul and others tried to corner Fauci on, are now also leftist talking points.

Here's another GOP talking point for you, that has been cleared by Vanity Fair:

Quote

Dr. Richard Ebright, board of governors professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Rutgers University, said that from the very first reports of a novel bat-related coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, it took him “a nanosecond or a picosecond” to consider a link to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Only two other labs in the world, in Galveston, Texas, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, were doing similar research. “It’s not a dozen cities,” he said. “It’s three places.”

Here's an admission of guilt by Vanity Fair, but they're careful not to mention who the guilty parties were - IE the political party, MSM outlets, and social media outlets who made the topic out of bounds and banished people to FB/twitter jail for stating that which was verboten:

Quote

But for most of the past year, the lab-leak scenario was treated not simply as unlikely or even inaccurate but as morally out-of-bounds.

Here's how far drooling leftist neanderthals go to prevent people from thinking for themselves:

Quote

In late March, former Centers for Disease Control director Robert Redfield received death threats from fellow scientists after telling CNN that he believed COVID-19 had originated in a lab. “I was threatened and ostracized because I proposed another hypothesis,” Redfield told Vanity Fair. “I expected it from politicians. I didn’t expect it from science.”

Here's the zinger - the point where it is revealed that, once again, "science" was actually just a political tool:

Quote

Then came the revelation that the Lancet statement was not only signed but organized by a zoologist named Peter Daszak, who has repackaged U.S. government grants and allocated them to facilities conducting gain-of-function research—among them the WIV itself. David Asher, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, ran the State Department’s day-to-day COVID-19 origins inquiry. He said it soon became clear that “there is a huge gain-of-function bureaucracy” inside the federal government.

(So..... one of the most culpable people on earth actually organized the scam to block the investigation into the virus, and at the snap of his fingers the leftists instantly started barking their common refrain: "SCIENCE HAS SPOKEN! SCIENCE HAS SPOKEN! SCIENCE HAS SPOKEN!")

Aside from being snotty, and telling the lies about the GOP that leftists sources are obliged to tell, VF really lied by omission here:

Quote

On May 26, the steady crescendo of questions led President Joe Biden to release a statement acknowledging that the intelligence community had “coalesced around two likely scenarios,” and announce that he had asked for a more definitive conclusion within 90 days. His statement noted, “The failure to get our inspectors on the ground in those early months will always hamper any investigation into the origin of COVID-19.” But that wasn’t the only failure.

The honest truth is that Trump punished the WHO for their blatant support of the Chinese but the MSM and the Dems went 100.00% against Trump. Media and high-ranking Dems helped to kill off any consideration of the WHO's role in hampering the investigation.

None of this should be news to you, because it was all widely reported, but now that you look back at this, doesn't it make you feel foolish for disregarding the lab-leak theory when you were simply told to?

Quote

... China’s apparent cover-up of the outbreak’s severity. The government had shut down the Huanan market, ordered laboratory samples destroyed, claimed the right to review any scientific research about COVID-19 ahead of publication, and expelled a team of Wall Street Journal reporters.

In January 2020, a Wuhan ophthalmologist named Li Wenliang, who’d tried to warn his colleagues that the pneumonia could be a form of SARS was arrested, accused of disrupting the social order, and forced to write a self-criticism. He died of COVID-19 in February, lionized by the Chinese public as a hero and whistleblower.

Honestly it should say "wink, wink" beside "COVID-19" above. Anyhoo....

LOL @ VF:

Quote

Then, the bomb-thrower-in-chief weighed in. At a press briefing just hours later, Trump contradicted his own intelligence officials and claimed that he had seen classified information indicating that the virus had come from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Asked what the evidence was, he said, “I can’t tell you that. I’m not allowed to tell you that.”

FYI, the Commander-in-Chief has a 'god-mode' security clearance. He has access to all information that anyone else in the US has access to. What he saw or did not see, no one else can say. Another thing: the "intelligence officials" are the liars that helped cover this all up in the first place. They were also implicated and indicted as criminals in the Russian collusion fiasco.

*Spoiler alert*, more Vanity fair snottiness ahead:

Quote

The idea of a lab leak first came to NSC officials not from hawkish Trumpists

Hawkish lol.

Just because other people were smart enough to read the writing on the wall over a year before VF stumbled into the truth in the dark doesn't make them "hawks".

This next bit just proves that leftists were being blatantly stupid for accepting the xenophobia angle, but VF is too stupid to realize it so they printed it anyways:

Quote

but from Chinese social media users, who began sharing their suspicions as early as January 2020. Then, in February, a research paper coauthored by two Chinese scientists, based at separate Wuhan universities, appeared online as a preprint. It tackled a fundamental question: How did a novel bat coronavirus get to a major metropolis of 11 million people in central China, in the dead of winter when most bats were hibernating, and turn a market where bats weren’t sold into the epicenter of an outbreak?

In case you fail to understand what I said above, this blows the xenophobia argument out of the water, unless you think that Chinese people are racist against Chinese people.

Safety was a joke in the Chinese labs:

Quote

The NSC investigators found ready evidence that China’s labs were not as safe as advertised. .Shi Zhengli herself had publicly acknowledged that, until the pandemic, all of her team’s coronavirus research—some involving live SARS-like viruses—had been conducted in less secure BSL-3 and even BSL-2 laboratories

I'll spell this part out, because they miss the full gist of it (being leftist dolts and all) - if you believe that the C19 virus that originally busted out was a naturally occurring virus, and not altered by gain-of-function research, then this means that the Chinese virologists were basically playing with this global pandemic virus at the kiddy table.

Next...

Quote

researchers had engineered mice with humanized lungs, then studied their susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2. As the NSC officials worked backward from the date of publication to establish a timeline for the study, it became clear that the mice had been engineered sometime in the summer of 2019, before the pandemic even started. The NSC officials were left wondering: Had the Chinese military been running viruses through humanized mouse models, to see which might be infectious to humans?

Believing they had uncovered important evidence in favor of the lab-leak hypothesis, the NSC investigators began reaching out to other agencies. That’s when the hammer came down. “We were dismissed,” said Anthony Ruggiero, the NSC’s senior director for counterproliferation and biodefense. “The response was very negative.”

So, when you come up with some more eyebrow-raising evidence, you need to stfu. Makes sense when you consider how they handle literally every other narrative. And yes, I mean narrative, because leftists deal in 'narratives' and nothing else.

Quote

In an October 2013 Nature study, Shi Zhengli reported a key discovery: that certain bat viruses could potentially infect humans without first jumping to an intermediate animal. By isolating a live SARS-like bat coronavirus for the first time, her team had found that it could enter human cells through a protein called the ACE2 receptor.

This is just an aside, but I'm pretty sure that the theory that spurred the HCQ trials was the fact that it might block covid at the ACE2 receptor. For some reason leftists went wild the second that HCQ was mentioned. If you ever wonder how hard Nancy Pelosi would have fought covid if she really gave a shit, just look at how hard the leftsts fought HCQ. The disinformation campaign was set to hyperdrive.

Daszak again:

Quote

Their questions multiplied the following month when Shi, Daszak, and their colleagues published an account of 630 novel coronaviruses they had sampled between 2010 and 2015. Combing through the supplementary data, DRASTIC researchers were stunned to find eight more viruses from the Mojiang mine that were closely related to RaTG13 but had not been flagged in the account. Alina Chan of the Broad Institute said it was “mind-boggling” that these crucial puzzle pieces had been buried without comment.

Oh yeah, then there was this:

Quote

But when Redfield saw the breakdown of early cases, some of which were family clusters, the market explanation made less sense. Had multiple family members gotten sick via contact with the same animal? Gao assured him there was no human-to-human transmission, says Redfield,

There were so many reasons why "right-wingers", aka geniuses from a leftist POV, questioned the wet market theorists, it was obviously not a case of being 'hawkish'. But God forbid we question the almighty WHO, which said that H2H was not a thing lol. Fuckin leftards are the dumbest things on the planet.

If you want to read the rest, go for it. VF sickens me and I'm sick of mansplaining as well. TBH you coulda just done a Ggl search yourself.

Myata, you should just watch Tucker Carlson instead of just clinging to the leftist mantra: "Everything on Fox is bad! We will never look for ourselves to found out what they are saying, because it is like downloading evil directly into your brain!"

Honestly by now you have ample evidence of leftists lying to you 24/7. You have nothing to lose by taking a glance. What's the harm in seeing one more lie, after all that you've gone through watching CTV and CNN, and listening to Trudeau, AOC, Biden, Harris, etc? Are you still clinging to the hope that one of thsoe losers will say something intelligent and accurate one day?

No it isn't about where you watch it and how much of it you watched. It's about facts and evidence. Any factual statement can be confirmed, supported by indirect evidence or refuted. There's no alternative information and alternative facts/realities only true or false for each statement and/or argument.

If institution A worked with virus B (as supported by indirect evidence) and it has direct links to this virus C (verifiable fact) this would be an argument supported by evidence. Harris and Biden etc have nothing to do with it.

Of course it is about where you watch 'it' and how much of it you watched.

If you're watching CNN and CTV you're never going to hear anything that they don't want you to hear.

FYI omission by lying is a huge deal.

This is what you get from CTV, CNN and CBC: "Hey dummies, covid came from a wet market. It says so right here in the Lancet. Anyone who says anything different is just a racist. We should go around in big groups hugging people like Nancy Pelosi, and ride the NYC subway like normal with no masks on as per DeBlasio's orders, we should force care homes to take C19-infected patients in, we can't test HCQ because it kills people and causes blindness, and we need to hate Trump because he's killing people with covid."

Honestly, leftists are just that stupid - they gobbled up every bit of that shit and asked for more.

Quote

No myata, not at all. Are you fuckin kidding me? Did you not read the part where the Chinese gov't denied the world access to investigate covid, destroyed evidence, forced a Dr to retract his statements, and then that guy "died of [a bullet infected with] covid"?

Do you understand that the WHO was telling THE PLANET EARTH that H2H transmission wasn't happening when all of the evidence pointed to the fact that it was? They told the world not to bother preventing people from covid zones from coming into their countries.

The WHO had one big test in our lifetimes, it was an easy one, and they got zero percent on it. 0%. Even Trump did way better than they did and he didn't spend one second in med school. Only Trudeau was dumb enough to believe them 100%.

Trump had those pieces of shit dead to rights when he defunded them but the MSM and Democrats fought for the WHO harder than they fought covid, and the WHO is a den of maggots.

Quote

You clearly didn't even read the article, you don't even have a clue wtf you're talking about. Go look and it now and you'll see how stupid your comment was.

Quote

Harris and Biden etc have nothing to do with it.

Harris and Biden were part of the crowd calling the lab theory a 'fringe theory'. I'd argue that being part of a coverup is bad. What about you?

Even if God himself appears on earth, works a couple of vast miracles to prove who he is, and then says that virus came from a wet market, that still doesn't vindicate the abject stupidity/criminal conduct of calling the lab theory a 'fringe theory'. Do you understand that? If nothing else, there was an overabundance of evidence that people who worked in/funded the Wuhan labs were acting in ways that scream "COVERUP!"

If the mafia refused to let anyone investigate the suicide of someone who blew themselves up in a car just before they were about to testify against them, then the mafia destroyed all of the evidence, and put out a press release saying that the mafia wasn't to blame for it, would you believe it? Would that change if The Lancet released an article saying that they weren't to blame? How about after you found out that John Gotti was the lead investigator for the Lancet? How about when you find out that mafia forced someone to recant their testimony, and then that guy 'died of covid'?

Biden/Harris: "If you suggest that there needs to be an investigation into the mafia, you're a crackpot or a racist."

Myata: "I'm not a racist Joey B! I don't want an investigation! The argument in favour of an investigation isn't supported by evidence!"

WCM: "The evidence was destroyed, mayata, by the mafia, remember?"

Myata: "No, I didn't bother to read that part, but I'm going to say this again, there is no evidence."

As if we needed any more evidence, it's almost official now: https://nypost.com/2021/06/06/damning-science-shows-covid-19-likely-engineered-in-lab/

Quote

Of the 36 possible genome pairings that can produce two arginine amino acids in a row — which results in boosting a virus’ lethality — the one most commonly used in gain-of-function research is CGG-CGG, or double CGG, wrote Quay and Muller.

“The insertion sequence of choice is the double CGG,” wrote Quay, the founder of Atossa Therapeutics, and Muller, a former top scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, who now teaches physics at the University of California’s Berkeley campus.

“That’s because it is readily available and convenient, and scientists have a great deal of experience inserting it,” they wrote. “An additional advantage of the double CGG sequence compared with the other 35 possible choices: It creates a useful beacon that permits the scientists to track the insertion in the laboratory.”

The pair noted that the double CGG sequence has never been found naturally among the entire group of coronaviruses that includes CoV-2, which causes COVID-19.

But, in what Quay and Muller called a “damning fact,” it was found in CoV-2.

If this is true then it is officially over for Fauci, because he said in no uncertain terms that all the evidence pointed to the virus naturally evolving from bats.

If this genome pairing really is in C19, and it has never been found anywhere in nature before, this is the piece of solid forensic evidence needed to confirm what we surmised all along from the pattern of lying & destroying of evidence by the culpable parties, the massive coincidence required for their story to be true, the history of lab failures in Wuhan and the lack of precautions that they took in handling coronaviruses, etc.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and when it seeps into our institutions of science and knowledge we need to take notice and investigate what is happening.

Succumbing to the knee jerk volatility of the moment is something conservatives and progressives need to avoid.

Thankfully, liberals don't seem to be defending The Lancet here, much less rushing to the thread to blame the disgraced former president, as West Can predicted that they would.

That can be a  factually verifiable statement 1) the sequence in question exists in the Covid-19 (examples, and a complete database of the genome is available) and 2) it has never been recorded in the known natural viruses. If there's an example if the "double CGG" sequence (as a nucleotide sequence) it shouldn't be too hard/long to check p.1. This isn't my area but the second part should also be verifiable by specialists. Though if spelt literally ("CGGCGG") my hunch would be it's too short to make such a statement in confidence.

This is not Alice in a Wonderland (how would one be sure though?) but gets curiousier and curiousier as she would say. Now what would Canada's security services think of sending deadly strains to North Korea under WHO "international cooperation for universal goodness" research program? Do we want to find out?

I actually predicted that a different thread would be started with shiny bells and shallow insults to draw attention away from here.

This forum is rife with juvenile TDS threads that are several pages long because most conservatives take the bait and defend the truth while liberals love to fling their intellectual poops every chance they get.

It’s true that liberals aren’t here defending the Lancet, but 1) it’s an untenable position and they’re tired of getting factual beat-downs here and 2) they already rode the Lancet like Secretariat for over a year when it was obviously just a blight on “science”, they’ve done enough damage to truth and accountability on this topic. It also fits their pattern to a Tee to yell and scream about the shiny new bullshit and then just act like it didn’t happen once the truth finally comes out. They’re just onto the new bullshit right now.

In Canada that’s: “219 graves - likely the result of a genocide!” and in the US it’s: “Biden’s America is like a big hug. Everything is coming up roses! We just need to fight the white bogeyman!”

1) That was never a thing. Eg, blocking travel from covid hotspots was never a conspiracy theory and it was never racist. There was never anything wrong with Kavanaugh being appointed to the SC. Russian collusion was always bullshit, leftists just ignored the facts and kept piling on for years. Leftings followed CNN off a cliff 200 times over the past 4 years.

2) The 2016 election wasn't stolen, but the MSM trumpeted that story as headline news for four years MH. Have you forgotten that leftard MSM outlets ran batshit crazy hysteria as headline news for 4 years? Do you also fail to understand the complete lunacy of Dem election policies like 1) voter ID is racist, 2) bombarding people in voting lineups with propaganda has the be legalized, 3) nothing can possibly go wrong if you just mail ballots to everyone in the country and then don't require any form of signature matching....

You have to be completely retarded to fail to understand the bogus turn that democracy is taking in the US.

3) The fact that a graveyard exists is factual, but the MSM is lying by omission again and using those dead bodies as a political tool to pump up sock boy. They have no shame, and our political leaders are having a crying contest to scramble for votes. It's pathetic.

All of this is taking us off topic, but I will say I don't see anything to support the assertions I've quoted here. Certainly Trudeau does not look good given that it was a liberal government and the recent government, two previous governments, but he pledged to do better than.

We must be living in different realities as I can't recall seeing one serious claim that that election was "stolen". Not to mention that it was conceded as the tradition was. But of course no claim knowing everything. So once again, either there's evidence to support this claim, or it wouldn't be compatible with the reality. No other alternatives.

On the origin story, this may be a good theme for investigation by an impartial, non partisan scientific panel. There's just too many interests involved to leave it to the governments. At these time it is indirect links and possibilities. They cannot be dismissed but fall short of a damning evidence.

You were unaware of all the claims that the 2016 election was stolen?????????? Were you on Mars? People who live in mud huts knew about it myata.

FYI Hillary Clinton covertly funnelled money to an ex-MI6 agent so that he could buy fake intel from Russians, and gave that intel to the FBI, who presented it to the FISA court where they lied about the validity of it multiple times in order to get warrants to spy on Trump and his associates.

There was a highly publicized witch hunt, the FBI and CNN staged a military raid on an old man, it was on all the news in NA 24/7. They tried to get the duly elected president thrown in jail. Most people knew about.

It’s one level of stupid to believe in the Russian collusion fiasco but I never heard of anyone so dumb that they never even knew about it.

It is not entirely accurate that deliberate engineering is the only possible cause of this mutation. Viruses can recombine and acquire bits from other viruses or human DNA. If we are looking to establish the truth rather than branding on the spot it may take longer and more effort. I would agree though that it's essential for the truth to be found in this matter.

And you know this how? Do you have a cite for this or are you one of the planet's eminent virologists?

I think that we can both agree that for you to make this claim, that requires a cite.

According to people who were willing to put their own professional credentials on the line, this is a mutation that has never occurred in nature before. It has only ever been created in a lab. It looks like the people who originally found the engineered mutation might be here:

I didn't even try to read it. It's beyond my ken.

Viruses can recombine and acquire bits from other viruses or human DNA. If we are looking to establish the truth rather than branding on the spot it may take longer and more effort. I would agree though that it's essential for the truth to be found in this matter.

Unless something that the NYPost said was factually inaccurate, and no one has risen to the challenge of discrediting it yet, the issue has reached a conclusion.

The old director of the CDC said that eventually science would get to the bottom of this, and while I hoped that he was right, a bigger part of me was concerned that the cover-up would obfuscate things beyond any possibility of a real conclusion.

MYATA - REGARDLESS OF ANYTHING ELSE, THIS IS THE PART THAT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND....

This was clearly, 10,000%, an instance where there were many very valid reasons to have an open discussion on an important topic, but liberals unilaterally touted fake science as the final arbiter of the issue and used their social media pit-bulls to block out the truth by killing freedom of speech & bludgeoning nay-sayers with baseless accusations of racism.

Why are you still grasping at straws? Even if this latest salvo of science uber alles is just another red herring, the case has been made that this topic never should have been verboten

You should be really concerned about how Dems and Big Tech are killing freedom of speech. Their use of fake science should also disgust you. Instead of batting an eye, you're still their stooge.

WTF would it take for you to even consider the possibility that you're being played? How many times do you need to bust those guys? How long can you continue to play ignorant?

Other demonrats have abandoned this sinking ship. They're onto the next lie. The longer you stay here, the more obvious it becomes that you have to make an admission.
