No Trump can not investigate Biden someone neutral a direct conflict of interest should 8fvt hff ere are sufficient grounds. Likewise with Clintonior anyone else. If Clinton spied on Trump as you claim, then if should be properly investigated but of course not by Trump. Slow down and read what I said. Look at the whole situation Rue, and try to take a reasonable stance on it. It's now known that the Dems/FBI got their approval to spy on Trump's campaign based on information that Hillary got by covertly paying Russians through a law firm. The info was known to be bogus but the FBI passed it off as verified and independently corroborated to the FISA court. The warrants and the investigation were used as a 3 yr long smear campaign for at least a year after everyone in the FBI and the media knew it was garbage. A FISA court judge just came out recently with a public statement saying that the FBI's dealings with that dossier have cast a shadow of doubt over everything the FBI has ever done at the FISA court. They tried that huge lie and it failed. Then they tried to say that Trump obstructed justice there, despite all the hundreds of thousands of pages that his administration turned in, all the subpoenas which they obeyed, all the FBI interrogations that they did under oath, etc. The Dems/FBI failed again. Then they started a bogus Ukrainian quid pro quo investigation off with Adam Schiff blatantly lying about the tone and the substance of the call between Trump and Zelenski, they had no actual witnesses, aside from people who said there was no quid pro quo, including Zelenski. After all of those bogus investigations, you're acting like checking to see if Biden's story was true is a crime? Get real Rue, that's a total joke. If you think "an investigation into a political opponent" is bad then WTF was the collusion investigation? Why aren't you screaming for an investigation into how that got started when it was done WITH FAKE INTEL AND 4 FBI "LYING TO THE FISA COURT" PARTIES? It's not even the belief that an investigation is warranted that bothers me, it's the fact that when the investigation and the trial come up empty, people keep acting as if it's proven beyond a shadow of doubt. DFCaper Posted December 28, 2019 Report Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Watch the Jimmy Dore Show, the Hill, or many other progressive sites to see how bad the FBI has been in all of this if you want to have a left wing view of this. The Dems are terrible to support the FBI corruption. Adam Schiff is actually worst for the US than Trump.. If the assertions you state are true they must be fully investigated and precisely by a neutral non partisan so the impartiality of the process does not taint the findings. So again I state whether it's Clinton or Trump the rule of law and fundamental laws of natural justice and constitution of the US must be be followed to assure legally sound findings. It means no one should use their political powers to in any way influence the investigative process whether they are Clinton, Biden, Trump or as we saw in Canada with Trudeau. Any illegal things Clinton may have done do not make what Trump did or does legally acceptable. We are at a crucial stage in American democracy where it's leader wants to drag Potus down to the lowest form of behaviour rationalizing his use ok Ukraine as a tit for a tat. No do not drag Potus down. Show respect for the basic fundamental legal principles the country was founded on. Again my issue deals with following the laws of the land not ignoring them in the name of populist partisan emotional outbursts appealing to hatred and anger. That is not leadership a enunciated by FDR, Lincoln, Truman, Eisenhower, Teddy Roosefelt, Wilson. It is the kind of reactionary populist politics that does not inspire unify but lynch mobs. Again that is a partisan statement justifying what Trump does by claiming he is a victim of the sam shit he flings. If the FBI truly is guilty of something they can and should be investigated. Justifying what Trump does saying the FBI is bad merely condones reactive chaos to loss of law and order. That is not leadership. I also suggest to you that your partisan bias you believe anyone that at challenges what Trump does is not entitled to basic legal rights and can be personally attacked. Your comments about Schiff are partisan. If you think he broke a law present the law he broke. Simply calling him names with no basis for your CD allegations is not credible. You react because Schiff challenged awe Trump did. You engage in this job stop namevcalling Trump has launched against anyone who has questioned him. You join in with the anger and name calling. Do you intend to lynch Schiff? What next. Do you intend to smear anyone that disagrees with Trump? What next? You are whipped up in the Trump us against them rhetoric and if only adds to the chaos not resolve it. Edited December 28, 2019 by Rue Quote

That law is the basis of US law and therein lies your problem you have no clue what the origins of your law is. The natural rules of justice are the very thing the US constitution was created to uphold. As for your interpretation of how to apply Potus the belief you stated is partisan. The law does not define Potus in such a manner. It created 3 equal sources of power in the Congress, Senate and Potus. It creates them to check and balance each other.Whether the actions of any of those 3 powers exceeds it's legal limits is determined by many factors and no Trump can not as he suggested use Potus for his personal conflicted partisan needs. Conflict of interest is a basic legal concept that must be applied when exercising any legal power. Edited December 28, 2019 by Rue Quote

Rue Posted December 28, 2019 Report Posted December 28, 2019 Nowhere in any law in the US does it say Potus means more power. If that was true the constitution would have defined Potus as havingb unlimited power. Can some of you Trump followers use some logic and not just slap back everytime you think your leader is challenged. The laws Trump must follow are the same laws you think Trump can break because you think others break those laws. You do not remedy an illegality by breaking another law. Quote
