It is more like none of them mentioned above, sans Reagan, were nationalist or patriotic to their home countries nor cared about their home countries. They were/are all globalist swampster sucks. They were/are nothing more than a bunch of swampsters that have been making your life and the rest of the world lives miserable since you were born and who have been trying to destroy all things normal and decent, nationalist and patriotic. It would appear as though that leftist media ideology brainwashing and propaganda has got you by the you know what's. Ouch. :D

I am glad to see that Trump is not like the rest of the politically correct bunch of buffoons like above, sans Reagan. Anyone can see that Trump is not beholding to the globalist bankster elite like just about all the politicians all over the world are. What you need to be doing now is to take a closer look at that swampster picture on the wall where Trump is seen stepping and pressing down on their swampster heads. Just saying. LOL.

Trump has done more to support global elites than any leader in history.

Examples to follow...

The majority of the world’s one percenters are in the US. They have benefited most from Trump’s tax cuts, the largest in history. He has also given a big seal of approval to the billionaire Russian oligarchs and Saudi oil barons. He has effectively stopped and even reversed the free trade that has raised living standards in the poorest developing countries. Congratulations if you’re super rich. You can give less back to the workers and wider society that you exploit under Trump.

So...good for the USA.

No. Good for rich Americans. Even they won’t be spared if the planet overheats.

America does not advertise itself as a socialist welfare state. Even YOU could be a 1%-er with the right business plan.

I already am. If we all just live for ourselves where does that land us?

Not in a socialist welfare state for one. For example: Elon Musk...Seth MacFarlane...both relatively poor before becoming incredibly rich by plying their trades in the good ol' USA. I'd hazard that there are NO billionaire cartoonists or rocket men working out of Canada. Unless you count that big grant from the Canada Council of Arts...

It’s always the ignorance on here that makes me want to stop bothering with this site. Canada has many billionaires across sectors. Common knowledge in Canada. Yes, Elon Musk overcame the odds.  He’s a genius. How many Elon Musks, Seth McFarlanes or Thomas Edisons do you know?  I support free market capitalism and entrepreneurial spirit.  You jump to extremes by calling a progressive tax rate radical.  It is not.

USA: 585+ billionaires

Canada: 39

Our progressive tax rate raises incomes for the bottom half and reduces them for the top half.  Good. Considering the US has 10 times our population, I’m comfortable with that stat.  If having fewer billionaires equates to having fewer working poor, we need fewer billionaires.

Rationalize it any way you like. Yet, there it is.

...and I must say: your calculus doesn't take into account India and China who should have MANY more billionaires than the USA if numbers are all that matter.

No actually.  China and India have far fewer billionaires.  The problem with the Republican or libertarian idea of diminishing the role of government as much as possible and allowing the rich to become as wealthy as humanly possible is that it returns us to the law of the jungle and Social Darwinism.  Those who are able to have the most, whether by dint of talent or subjugation, are given free reign, and everyone else just has to take what trickles down to them.  It also doesn't take into account the value of social wealth.  There is value in knowing I am safe just about anywhere I choose to walk; that if I get a catastrophic illness, I won't have to sell my home and declare bankruptcy; that generally everyone has access to a decent education and opportunity; that the dice for your future isn't cast based on the economic status of the family into which you were born.  Yes, the genius overachievers will overcome most obstacles.  Sammy Davis Jr. and James Brown made it big under segregation and racist conditions.  It's not that easy for most people.  So sure, maybe one day you'll get on that top 500 wealthiest list, but there are 380 million people in the US.  Do you like your chances?  What I find sad is that a lot of uneducated and unskilled people are swayed by the politics of fear and the cult of personality into supporting a political party that doesn't represent their interests.  Even Kanye is figuring out how he is being used.

And to the anti-"globalists" who think that international rules are bad and will lead to common folk being thrown into FEMA camps: Would you agree to an international rule that limits the amount that one can earn from a business to no more than 1000 times the lowest paid full-time worker?  If you can't even agree on a basic rule like that to prevent the worst kinds of exploitation, I worry for our future.

Rationalization...

I don’t have to rationalize anything. I just have to walk through any American city to see the differences between the wealthy and poor areas, the risks people face to their health and safety, the lack of opportunity.  Burying your head in the sand is a choice.

It comes down to what Jesus said. "As you treat the least of us, so you have treated me." The primary purpose of a government is the welfare of its citizens.

It's citizens...not Honduras's citizens. Not Saudi Arabia's citizens...etc.

Equality of Opportunity. We are captains of our own ships...well...not if you're a socialist or a big fan of Brave New World as a guide to living.

As a human being, you have a duty to your fellow human being. Did you not go to kindergarten? (ie. sharing?)

Why not equality of outcomes? We are all in this together.
