Worldwide demonstrations for "science".

The fact you mention coal dust and smoke proves you know nothing about the debate about global warming.  NO scientists ever said coal dust and smoke had anything to do with global warming.  I thought you would have known the theory about man-made global warming has only to do with carbon dioxide gas.    Coal dust and smoke particles are not the same thing as CO2.   Oops, time for you to go back and find out what the issue is all about!

Actually, particulates have properties such that they can reflect sunlight, and coal dust, any dust, can affect the albedo of bright surfaces, snowpack, for instance.  Methane gas is a much more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, but spends less time affecting the atmosphere.

And don't even get me started about sulfur hexafluoride.

These demonstrations ostensibly in support of "science", taking place today, Apr. 22, seem to have a strong political overtone.  Most of it seems to be anti-Trump protests with various liberal or leftist causes thrown in such as climate change, anti Trump cutting budget in certain areas.  I would say they are not much more than anti-Trump or anti-Trump agenda protests, which is nothing new.

Trump thinks human-caused climate change is a sham.  Anyone who thinks this hasn't looked closely at the science and would rather get their "science" advice from right-wing media pundits. He is therefore anti-science in this regard.

So yes, this is very political and "anti-Trump agenda", because climate policies based on ignorance of the evidence is a political issue.

So, no one need try to deny and question anything told to them, eh? Just listen to the main scream media and politicians and get all the news we all need to know from the? It's no wonder that people like Al Gore are millionaires? They have people believing their bull, and giving them plenty of more money to listen to them tell them more bull.

The last I heard was that the Antarctic has more snow then ever now. Very interesting, isn't that?

Snow is weather, ice is climate and there will be yearly fluctuations.

Antarctic sea ice has increased but not enough to compensate for losses in the Arctic.

Trump or no Trump, the United States will still spend a lot more on science, research, and development than many other nations in total and as a percentage of GDP....far more than Trudeau's Canada.

http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/GB.XPD.RSDV.GD.ZS?view=map

Ergo, Trudeau is anti-science !

For very long time in the past.   If "science" is so important, then why don't other nations spend the money ?

Canada will never catch up.   Where were the protests ?

Methane is actually worse than CO2. But if you had ever breathed coal dust you might understand what I'm talking about.

You are nothing more than a doom and gloomer cry baby. The earth has been blown up by volcanoes, floods drowned the land, tornadoes ripped up millions of acres, tsunamis have wiped out whole islands, earthquakes have ripped the earth apart in many places...

By the same token...the Earth has been ravaged by tax collectors and leftists for centuries now and we're all still here so...go back to bed and stop your crying why don't you?

No, they get paid to provide scientific information.

Some get paid big bucks to provide scientific information bull crap. What? Are you one of those people who believe that what every scientist tells you is suppose to be true?

When it comes to science, research, and development, Trudeau versions of those three words would be too spend all that money instead on wanting to flood the country with refugees, and blowing tax dollars away on the rest of the third world. He is an expert on that for sure. But hey.

Ya, thanks to all those tax collectors and leftists liberal screw balls out there we will be keeping those tax collectors working for decades too come, and all those leftists liberal SJW's on food stamps for decades too come. It's time for you to stop crying and wake up, and get out of bed. If the country were left totally up too people like you and those SJW's all the time, we would all be on food stamps. As a matter of fact I do believe that the leftists liberals SJW's have pretty much put most Canadians on food stamps.

Now that is something to whine and cry about. :D

Now here is an interesting, protest worthy applied science tid-bit:

Quote

"Canada is the only developed country with an intellectual property deficit – meaning we spend more to acquire other peoples’ technology than the world buys from us. "

Looks like Canada is a science deadbeat.....go get 'em protesters !

NASA? Not everything that comes out of the mouth of NASA is true. Sometimes they do screw up. Believe it or not.

So, who cares if the Antarctic ice is growing, and the Arctic ice is melting. It is not going to effect my life or yours in the years that we have left on earth. Why do people living today care about where the ice is melting or not melting? The temperatures have pretty much not changed all that much in the last fifty years. So, why all the panic?

Besides, every year it will always snow in the winter months in one of those places anyway. It will melt in the Arctic, and grow in the Antarctic, and vice-versa. The world will never become snow less. But hey.

Yup, our Canadian protesters sure know how to protest non-important issues alright like lets go get that Trump. Trump wants to clean the swamp of corruption, and so we can't allow that to happen. Like I always say "the people are their own worse enemy". Their reliance on the fake and phony media, and politically correct politicians is what is doing them great harm.

Canada will always be a dead beat country as long as we keep putting in PM's like trudeau who thinks that the rest of the world is more important than Canada or Canadians.

From the mouth of taxme.

Coming out of the mouth of hot enough who believes that every thing being blurted out of the mouth of the media or politicians is oh so true and factual. Thank gawd that I am so politically incorrect, and at least I will make the attempt to check out the other side of the story. To only listen and read one side of the story, is to know nothing at all.  So true.

That's true, but Canada and other nations would rather be lead by America's NASA than invest their own money in science, research, and development.    The CBC quotes NASA more than the Canadian Space Agency !

Canada hasn't illegally invaded sovereign nations over 70 times and hasn't been able to steal vast sums of other people's wealth, or napalm villagers or rape the women in those countries or have their proxies slash off women's breasts or peel the skin off live people's bodies or any of the other deeply inhuman things that Americans like to do.

You will have to talk to the globalist warmongering elite zionists about all of those crimes that have been committed under their watch, and then try to convince them that what they are doing is really bad. I wish you good luck on that one. Let me know how things work out. Personally though, I think that we will see the earth flood over first on that one.

Btw, Canada has supported those elites mentioned above for decades now. Canada is not exactly clean period on this one.

Why have you ignored the part where the US has gotten a huge percentage of its wealth by plundering it from other countries.

And you frequently love to relive and rejoice in all this deeply inhuman behavior.

Because it is off topic, as usual.   Invest more in science to understand what that means.
