 there's a reason why they have the electoral college so that New England and California with their concentrated population don't decide who runs the entirety of the country.  In return the mayor of ny and la have a bit more influence than say the governor of South Dakota.

Trudeau was a qualified school teacher and worked as such for a number of years. We all of course have heard what Trump seemed to like to do with his little finger. Which of those two vocations impresses you the most?

Clinton and Obama won according to the electoral college (no rules) and popular vote.

The system doesn't matter if you win the popular vote or not.  The founding fathers put that stipulation in there so that people from one area dictate to people in another in federal matters.  It's a fair system that allows states and cities a substantial influence in return.  Heck California gets 55 electoral votes which is a sizeable piece of the pie.

The problem is that a large portion of population didn't pick their president.  Trump got less votes for than Romney.  Seems to me lots stayed home...

We are so far from what the founding fathers created. There was no stipulation on how the electoral college would vote, but we have the fanatics of today demanding that. We also have Donald Trump arguing against the electoral college both in 2012 and before the current election, but now that he wants to benefit from it he has changed his tune 100%. This would all have been a non-issue if Trump didn`t act like the little child he is beforehand.

Trumps act got him the White House.  He is all over the place on issues.  Some states put in the stipulation of the electors to vote based on the results so that the people in that states will would be reflected in the college.  Get used to trump changing his tune.  I'm not seeing Hillary getting prosecuted anytime soon.
