Vegetarianism is now being promoted to the public by environmentalists. A lot of dis-information out there to fool you. You're falling for it. Lentils and beans are good sources of protein.......yet, not as high amount you get from meat. Quote In the United States, the recommended daily allowance of protein is 46 grams per day for women over 19 years of age, and 56 grams per day for men over 19 years of age. (2) Around the world, millions of people don’t get enough protein. Protein malnutrition leads to the condition known as kwashiorkor. Lack of protein can cause growth failure, loss of muscle mass, decreased immunity, weakening of the heart and respiratory system, and death. 6-ounce broiled porterhouse steak is a great source of protein—about 40 grams worth. a cup of cooked lentils provides about 18 grams of protein https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/protein/ Edited December 3, 2016 by betsy

Altai
We would not have to regulate somethings if we were living without violating rules of the nature. This is against animal rights to prevent a cow from farting. I am going to call 911 if you do that.

Omni
So I wonder if you drove a plug up a cows arse to stop her from farting, what effect would it have on end result. For instance would it have an influence on the flavor of the meat? And would you no longer have to pull teats to get milk or would she just pressurize and we could just attach cartons that would be filled daily? Or would she just burp more? If meat will be forbidden to the public - it'll be naive to think the same rules will apply to the elite! The little people have a big problem? They cannot think for themselves anymore. They need politicians, the media, the elite, the entertainment industry, and Hollywood movie stars to tell them how to survive and what is good for them. Heck, no matter what the alternative media had to say about bad old Hillary half of the American population still voted for her. The little people are their own worse enemy. All it takes is giving you a few bs, and getting you all riled up.....and off you go like lemmings from a cliff! From the environ"mental"ists, the global warming scientists, the politicians, and the fake stream media have most people believing and convinced that the world will come to an end if we do not listen to them. Yet humans have come no where close to doing any serious damage to the environment as much as nature has done to the earth. One would think that with all the devastation caused since time began from volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, cyclones, and tornadoes that the earth should have destroyed itself long ago but it has not. So, the little bit of damage that humans may have caused is peanuts. So, let the cows fart, and let's keep eating meat because nothing is going to happen to planet earth. Life will go on. The one thing that none of the groups I mentioned above have never brought up is world population. If those people I mentioned above cared about the environment so much then it is time for them to speak up about how they should be trying to slow down the growth rate of the third world population. They are no doubt contributing more to the destruction of the environment than some farting cows will do. China, India, Africa and many South East Asian countries combined have a population of well over four billion people. The few farting cows that there are in North America can come no where close to damaging the environment as much as all that population in the third world can do the environment. But I guess thanks to political correctness all those mentioned above would rather go after farting cows that blow wind out their butts as the real threat to the environment. What a joke. Here is one 'special interest' group: The US meat industry’s wildly successful, 40-year crusade to keep its hold on the American diet Quote In 2014, the industry spent approximately $10.8 million in contributions to political campaigns, and another $6.9 million directly on lobbying the federal government (calculated by combining totals for the meat processing and products and livestock sectors, as reported by the Center for Responsive Politics’ OpenSecrets website). While the USDA is tasked with regulating the meat industry, it also has a role in promoting it. This tension plays out every time the US government wants to give out dietary advice—and the results generally wind up favoring the industry.
