We'll need more to actually understand what if any change is happening.

People are realizing the man is a complete hypocrite. Behind his smiling sunny face is the same old, dirty Liberal party. Canadians were fooled again.
You can bet they won't put up with this sort of bullshit the next election.

JT dropped due to his pipeline approvals. Once those jobs start to kick in that will change. Hopefully Canadians will still remember Harper's bullshit next election.

Hope is for the hopeless. Canadians will still remember Harper's bullshit too.

That is why they will elect a true Strongman the next time around, a man who will sweep away all the corruption and lies from the entitled that makes us weak. Thanks to our immoral leaders Canadians will finally say "Enough!".

To the benefit of the Conservatives in British Columbia and Ontario.......the same Conservatives that support pipelines. That makes no sense.......if that were the case, the NDP and Greens would be benefiting..........Trudeau is losing support for a whole host of reasons, including classic Liberal corruption in the form of lobbying dinner dates, full time job losses, the economy, the Ontario Liberal government, electoral reform and his idiotic statements..........and things will only get worse.

They very well could..........if the Trump administration does start "making America great again", in some ways at the expense of Canada, I don't know how a government could survive that kind of populist wave.

Like I say, when those pipeline jobs begin the losses from the approval of same will reverse. And it's not corruption when you follow the rules to the tee on dinner dates. Electoral reform is in the works. As to idiotic statements, how about Kellie Leitch?

Trump is merely a buffoon, not a strongman. There is a difference.

This is going just as expected....look how Donald Trump has already impacted the collective Canadian psyche and he isn't even the U.S. president yet.

Justin Trudeau has already turned to his father's playbook (because he has none of his own), lashing out at Canadians who even mention Trump or his presumed policies as worthy of consideration (e.g. "Pan-Canadian" climate change actions).

Trump says he will eliminate the advantage China has in flooding the market with their inferior junk. Sounds good to me.
We want products made with American steel.

Then maybe he should stop having his products such as clothing items etc. that he sells from being produced in China as well as Mexico. So I guess he's a hypocrite as well as a buffoon.

Trump hats were made in USA but the Chinese flood the market with cheap imitations.

Are Trump's 'Made in USA' hats really made in USA?

On a broad level, the tale of Trump's hats shows the challenge of revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, which has been ravaged by cheap competition from overseas. Trump has accused Asian countries of unfairly manipulating their currencies to boost exports.

Interesting article that shows what we all know, we've screwed ourselves and no spineless neo liberal politician is going to be able to fix this. Thanks to years of regressive leftism, we're on a road to nowhere.

It's off topic so read it fast. Coneheads will delete.

I wonder if trump will put the same 35% import tax on himself that he wants to put on Ford.

Mexico has already passed Canada as the #2 exporter to the United States....and fading fast on Trudeau's watch.

Mexico will have a pretty hard time of that when they're behind a wall.....errr...a fence...er an electronic fence.

35 American states find Canad to be a very important market.  Why is Canada so important to all of those Americans?

Because so much of it is owned or capitalized by American and other foreign corporations.

Canadian provinces find it easier to trade with American states than other provinces in Canada.

Still, Canada is losing U.S. export market share to Mexico, especially for autos.   Sunny ways !

I think it's because they can't figure out how to make maple syrup or good beer.

What is it about Canada that capitalized American corporations love so much, I wonder?

Yes - we're all too happy to take your money.  Canadian provinces will continue to compete with each other, and it's always been.  It's what Canadians want, and Canadians will be the ones to decide.

Ironically, the US is losing Canadian spending on sunny days to Mexico.

Actually, Canadian nationals spend far more time and money in the United States than in Mexico or Cuba.

This would include snowbirds, residents, and sponsored workers.

Trudeau's new taxes and policies will drive even more "south of the border".

And Trumps policies are driving up Canadian property values. Yhanks Donny boy.

And a lot of other things.  For sunny days, it's far better to go somewhere that's actually warm.

Sunny days do not require warmth, but a strong economy does require good policies and access to markets.

Mexico has both, and now leads Canada for exports to the United States.  Sunny Ways !
