I just used the countries on this chart. The point is, a town of 1000 with 300 immigrants will be quite different from a town of 10,000 with 1000 immigrants. If you did a top ten list of countries with the greatest ratio of immigrants to total population, it would likely look very different. For example, a country the size of New Zealand could be 100% immigrants and still be a million and a half short of making the top ten in total immigrants. I'm not trying to slag the US which has a great immigrant history, just point out that in comparison to some other countries, it is not quite what some blowhards would have us believe.
