Moonlight Graham Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Republican candidate Ben Carson, tied in the polls with Trump, must be the least intelligent neurosurgeon to have ever lived. He's also completely insane. Maybe he did some experimental neurosurgery on himself in med school? This thread is to discuss how insane this man is, and to post some of the crazy quotes etc. coming from this guy, because, well, it's hilarious: - "As a teenager, I would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers. And, of course, many people know the story when I was 14 and I tried to stab someone." - On how homosexuality is a choice, rather than biological. Brain science!: "Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight -- and when they come out, they're gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question." - And of course, his "personal theory" about the Egyptian pyramids: Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Thursday stood by his belief that Egypt's great pyramids were built by the biblical figure Joseph to store grain, an assertion dismissed by experts who say it's accepted science they were tombs for pharaohs. "My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids in order to store grain." He was referring to the Old Testament story of Joseph predicting famine and advising the pharaoh to store surplus food. "Some people believe in the Bible like I do and don't find that to be silly at all, and believe that God created the Earth and don't find that to be silly at all." Neither Carson's church nor any other major Jewish or Christian sect shares his belief about the pyramids' origins. PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN THE LAUNCH CODES. Argus Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Cite please (insanity)....would it make any difference if he was a "white" neurosurgeon (intelligence) ? Yeah, because that stuff would sound fine if he was white... duh. Why is it you people ignore reasonable candidates like Bush and Christie and go for the loonies and crackpots instead? Why is it you people ignore reasonable candidates like Bush and Christie and go for the loonies and crackpots instead? For the same reasons that "you people" go for the "loonies and crackpots" like Trudeau, Layton, or Mulcair. The "intelligence" angle is just code for race. President George W. Bush presented the award...no wonder this candidate scares the haters so much. ...Carson is renowned for his innovative and groundbreaking neurosurgeries, which include separations of craniopagus (Siamese) twins joined at the head, and hemispherectomies, surgeries in which a portion of the brain is removed to stem intractable seizures in children. At Johns Hopkins, where he has directed pediatric neurosurgery for nearly a quarter of a century, Carson co-directs its Craniofacial Center and is a professor of oncology, plastic surgery and pediatrics. http://www.hopkinschildrens.org/hopkins-surgeon-ben-carson-receives-medal-of-freedom.aspx Edited November 6, 2015 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

I'd never deny that. In fact, I want him to keep saying these things to keep me entertained through the next year. As it stands now this guy has about a 25% chance to be president by this time next year, but even if he doesn't win he should come out with a talk show or something! If you agree with his religious assertions, that's one thing but if you disagree with it and you don't at least acknowledge it while defending his achievements, then you have zero credibility. Which is it? I agree with his right to say whatever the hell he wants, same as Donald Trump. Carson can also have any religious belief system he chooses as a protected constitutional right. BC_chick Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 So you agree that attacking his "intelligence" or "sanity" is without merit ? He could be very book smart but a fully insane crackpot with no real intelligence about human existence. There is absolutely no link between common sense and book smarts. Sure is...and I get it...the "grueling 78 day campaign" gong show is over in Canada so now it is time to get back to the favourite past time of bashing U.S. politics for the 2016 presidential campaign.
