Predict how Canada will look like in 4 years

Oh yeah,no Keystone ,and no oil pipelines of any kind in Canada either.

It's likely that Energy East will not be completed at least within the next four years, as it won't get approval until at least 2018. Transmountain may be well underway by then.

Massively in debt , higher taxes and an economy struggling to find traction because of a lack of leadership and understanding of global markets . Look at the first few months , 10 billion dollar deficit turns into a 30 - 40 billion dollar deficit while unemployment continues to rise . A lot of Canadians are going to realize they where duped by " Sunny Ways Trudeau " when the budget comes down Tuesday , most notably Native Canadians . The Liberals have made promises that they will not nor did they ever intend on keeping , all about being back in power to spend more money !

Look at Ontario and their debt problems and that is where Trudeau is taking Canada . FYI Ontario has the world's largest sub sovereign debt and pays 1 billion a month to just interest because of Liberal spending habits and mismanagement . Hope they enjoy austerity , they voted for it when they voted Liberal blindly .

The economy is struggling because instead of allowing a necessary correction / recession in 2007 we just kicked the can down the road with the biggest monetary easing / stimulus program in Canadian history. By the time the liberals took over we already had a massive housing bubble, historically low household savings rates, and interest rates set at dangerously low levels.

That's not to say you can really blame the Conservatives for this... they did the same thing any government would have done. But your desperate attempts to pin the whole thing on Trudeau just make you look stupid.

Voting for a man with a name and a hairdo and watching him fail miserably as people try to prop him up , that makes 38 % of Canadians look awfully stupid . 30 - 40 Billion dollar deficit and a rising unemployment rate , those are the numbers that matter and the Liberals will have no explanation. Wonder how the natives will react when they realize the Liberals pulled a fast one on them like all Canadians . " The budget will balance itself " Justin Trudeau

There's no evidence of that.

So you've said. The reality is, Ontario has ran only 11 surpluses in the last 35 years. Three of those were under then current string of Liberal governments.

Ontario will face austerity and the Liberals have successfully taken them from " HAVE " to " HAVE NOT " status . Imagine what 1 billion a month currently spent on interest could do for the good people of Ontario ? You will never know , just keep voting Liberal and they will continue to rack up the debt and scandals ,

Provide evidence that the Liberals caused that, and not the global financial crisis that affected Ontario more than the rest of Canada.

Ready for a head out of sand moment ? Ontario government has racked up 141.7 billion since 2008/ 2009 . This performance makes Bob Rae of the NDP look financially responsible compared to the inept Liberals . Using Liberal projections interest payments will grow by an average of 6.7 % annually and they currently pay over 1 billion a month now . Liberals = EPIC FAIL and I hope they remember , you voted Liberal there for you asked for it !

I think in the future Canada will look much like overpopulated countries like Pakistan and India. There will be wall-to-wall housing, all society will be urbanized, agriculture will be non-existent, the uninhabited countryside, what is left of it, will be overgrown and littered with trash and the white race will have become the greatest minority.

I think there will be civil unrest and gang violence brought about by prejudices brought into the country by the many different races and cultures.

Do you live your life in fear of people of other skin tones and ethnicities?

Difference is one is a spoiled " Trust Fund Kid " and the other is a egotistical billionaire tycoon that has forgotten more about business and negotiations by the time he was 20 than JR will learn in his entire life . Trump elevated his father's name while Justin has lived off his . FYI Pierre Trudeau was a communist and proud of it. " I am a Catholic and a Communist. " Pierre Trudeau quoted at Communist propaganda meeting that he attended at the invite of the USSR government . The apple didn't fall far from the tree did it .

Is there any support in Canada for becoming a republic like there is in Australia where they even had a referendum which was lost but the issue isn't dead?

There is a marked difference between Australia and New Zealand as in the former there is the republican-movement while in the latter there is almost no sentiment that the British should be viewed as, if not even as enemies, but as a nuisance to get rid of. In NZ Britain is often referred to as the mother country, something you can spend your life-time trying to hear in Australia.

Just wondering what sort of benefits is there for Canada to remain in the Commonwealth and is remaining in that union only possible if you have a foreigner as head of state?

There is zero support for getting rid of the monarchy in Canada largely because most people don't want the political fight that would have to go with such a change.

One would imagine that in all of these countries, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, where a foreigner is the head of state the system worked well as long as the vast majority of the population of the countries in question originated from the United Kingdom but as with globalisation and ever increasing immigaration this must be getting less and less common and more and more people living in those three countries feel no loyalty or affinity whatsoever towards someone living 10000 miles away that just must have some pressure on the system.

The monarch is like the QWERTY keyboard - a historical anachronism that most people agree could be done better but it works and change would be too much effort.

Indeed and even if people weren't too satisfied with the situation the issue is simply never going to be urgent enough to be addressed at once.

On top of that all this "if it ain't broken don't fix it"-rhetoric. Given the demographic changes your country is undergoing there are bound to be a lot of people who will think it is broken and needs to be fixed.

Btw. When you become a Canadian citizen are you obliged to make some oath of allegiance to the crown or only Canada?

I swear (or affirm)
That I will be faithful
And bear true allegiance
To Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second
Queen of Canada
Her Heirs and Successors
And that I will faithfully observe
The laws of Canada
And fulfil my duties
As a Canadian citizen.
