Thank god the US government bailed out the auto industry so Americans Mexicans could have more work.

It saved a lot of US jobs. Who knows what kind of effect all those jobs shutting down at once would have had on the economy? It could have been like dominoes.

It provided a lot of jobs to Mexicans, sure, and ensured that the executives got their salaries padded. But it sure as hell didn't save people in Detroit and the surrounding areas their jobs. That "stimulus" would have been better spent helping those people transition and stay on their feet. It would have been better spent in their pockets, allowing them to create demand for goods and service here. Instead, it ensured that the rich stayed rich and the working class still lost their jobs.

I would absolutely love it if Bernie took the nomination, but I thinks it's Hillary's ticket.

Likewise myself and the NRA:

Sanders, an economic populist and middle-class pugilist, doesn’t talk much about guns on the campaign trail. But his voting record paints the picture of a legislator who is both skeptical of gun control and invested in the interests of gun owners—and manufacturers.

But best of all:

The blue-collar agenda puts Sanders in a complicated position with the contemporary Left on noneconomic issues. For instance, he has cast votes against federal gun-control legislation, like the landmark 1994 Brady Bill, and owes his first congressional victory in part to support from the National Rifle Association. "He doesn't have a gun," says his close friend Richard Sugarman, a religion professor at the University of Vermont, when I asked how Sanders—a University of Chicago graduate from Brooklyn—became a Second Amendment guy. "He doesn't really care about guns. But he cares that other people care about guns. He thinks there's an elitism in the antigun movement."

Priceless...........

Bernie Sanders is becoming the 2016 version of Ron Paul. No chance of winning, but gaining enough attention to make Hilary try to pretend she cares about bank regulation and Trans Pacific Partnership.

To WWWTT - Bernie Sanders is 73 years old. He would be 74 if elected President of the USA. The expected average life expectancy of an American male is 76.

Therefore, it could be expected that Bernie would die half way through his elected first term.

His Vice President would then become President.

Yes, but what's the average life expectancy of an American politician? Upper class, well connected millionaires have a life expectancy considerably longer than the average, in America. Furthermore, the life expectancy for someone that is already 74 the life expectancy is much more than 76 (76 is the life expectancy at birth). In fact, the life expectancy of a 73 year old American male is 86.

I think he's too old and I think he should focus on his sons family. He's needed more in that capacity.

He's only 5 years older than Hillary and the same age as Bernie Sanders. (Damn the Dems are old n white this time around!). Apparently his son told him that he wanted him to run just before he died. He's also just as qualified as anybody. Even more so than Hillary Clinton, and he's much more likeable and authentic.
