Data has no nationality. Repeating over and over that it has a nationality, just because it doesn't indicate what you want, does not make it so.

Data collection and analysis costs big bucks...the U.S. spends more than any other nation doing so.

Not too shabby for a "denier nation".

NASA...NOAA...GISS...NSIDC....serving Canadian alarmists every day....free ! They like free !!

I don't know why Canada won't spend more on the pending DOOM that is climate change, and the dramatic impact on pole ice. Seems kinda funny since Canada claims that it owns the North Pole....including Santa's house and workshop.

Scientists are muzzled too....no wonder they have to depend on data that "has no nationality", but comes so much from the United States.

It doesn't matter who paid for it; what matters is if it's accurate. You can try and change the subject and talk about the nation that paid for the data collection because you don't have the scientific chops to dispute it, but that's just a somewhat pathetic attempt to take this thread off-topic in order to avoid the real issue. If you don't have the ability to discuss the science, you could read more about it instead of trying to sidetrack the discussion.

Right. So how did the same data originally show a 0.3 in warming go to a 0.8? Magic?

Even when you get an answer, you don't understand it, so what's the point? It's a big conspiracy and a fraud and Obama was born in Kenya.

The point is: you can get an answer to the question on the thread. If the person who asked refuses to accept it, that should be obvious. It's a better think todo then to come back with a non-sequitur about Obama/Kenya I think.

Now you're just being ridiculous. How can data that originally yields a 0.3 all of a sudden now yield a 0.8? What was done to it, and why?

Quit trying to go off-topic.

Why won't Canada spend more money for the collection and analysis of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice data?

On topic question...no answer yet.

Off topic sarcasm: instead of giving FN allocations to the CBC, spend it on some climate science like the Americans do.

I'm kicking the ball back in-bounds from you refusing to answer a question....

The question was already answered, as you said. That was my point. Perhaps you would now like to go on about where the funding for the data originated.

What is the problem ?

Why won't Canada spend more money for the collection and analysis of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice data?

what does this distraction have to do with the thread? Again, do you actually have anything to contribute to the thread topic of Arctic/Antarctic ice melting (sea or ice-sheets)? I certainly wouldn't want these posts of yours to be considered "off-topic/thread jacking"!

If it is so important, why won't Canada spend more money for the collection and analysis of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice data?

this is now the third post of yours, in a very short timeframe, asking the exact same question. Again, this has nothing to do with the thread topic. Again, do you have anything to add in regards the actual thread topic?

Not too shabby for a "denier nation".

The "denier nation" will lead the world to the climate change promised land...gotta love that.

in the past this was an oft-repeated ploy of yours... to label the U.S. as the "denier nation". Of course it stems from past exchanges where you claim the label attachment has been made... and more pointedly, that it was I that did so. As I've posted several times in the past, I did no such thing and challenged you to provide a link to a quote of mine where such a label was provided in that regard. Of course, you have never done so. Instead you now repeat your ploy... again... recently doing exactly the same thing within the status update section.

if you let me know exactly what your intent is I might be in a position to more properly reply to you. Of course, this is off-topic to the thread topic. There seems to be a pattern here, hey?

IMO, more research is needed to better understand the dynamics of sea ice at both poles. Accordingly, why won't Canada spend more money for the collection and analysis of at least Arctic sea ice ? (Since Canada claims to own the whole thing all the way to the North Pole.)

What gives ?

Sure. No warming, adjust data, double the warming! Shazzam! It's comical. It's Enron type accounting. No profits, adjust data, double the profits!

no warming? Support your statement please - citation request...

in particular, what adjustments are causing you concern... specifically, what adjustments and why do you believe the respective adjustments you are concerned about are not valid? Again, please support your statements/claims - to this point you've provided nothing other than an article reference that draws upon the most suspect statements of renowned deniers (non scientists). Again, which adjustments and why do you question them?

North Pole is Danish territory, regardless of the absurd territorial claims by Canada and Russia.

Sure. What to make of a warming plateau?

The rise in the surface temperature of earth has been markedly slower over the last 15 years than in the 20 years before that. And that lull in warming has occurred even as greenhouse gases have accumulated in the atmosphere at a record pace.
