-1=e^ipi Posted May 4, 2015 Author Report Posted May 4, 2015 If you're a guy...go to the gym and walk into the women's change room during a busy time and see what happens. But how are you defining 'guy'? It is not uncommon for a pre-op transwomen to use a female changeroom. There's nothing to mix up. If your "identity" doesn't align with your genetics, you have a mental illness. Rejecting the fact of your gender won't change it. Genetic sex != gender identity. If you wish to demonstrate that gender dysphoria is a mental illness than please back it up with evidence. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 See below. It really is that simple. In your mind perhaps. In reality its a bit more complex. Quote

So, you take the position that a post-op transwoman is not a man? What about Eunuchs? Are they not men? Even if they had to get genitals removed due to cancer? Where do intersex people fit into this? Smallc Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 So, you take the position that a post-op transwoman is not a man? I take the position that the surgery was a mistake. Quote
cybercoma Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 See below. It really is that simple. Pretty simple if you have no idea what the difference is between biological sex and gender. Quote
cybercoma Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 I take the position that the surgery was a mistake. Intersex people didn't have surgery. Quote
Just Me Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 To take this discussion in a slightly different direction. How do we define what a man or woman is if not by biological sex? If we can't define it how can we argue if someone is man or woman? Quote
-1=e^ipi Posted May 6, 2015 Author Report Posted May 6, 2015 How do we define what a man or woman is if not by biological sex? By biological, do you mean phenotypical or genetic? Quote
LemonPureLeaf Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 So, you take the position that a post-op transwoman is not a man? What about Eunuchs? Are they not men? Even if they had to get genitals removed due to cancer? Where do intersex people fit into this? Do they have penis and testicles? If yes, they are a male. If they have vagina they are female. Quite simple. Thats it. Thats all. How the person views themselves doesn't change what's between their legs. A cross dressing weirdo isn't a women because they say they are. Get real. Quote
eyeball Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 How the person views themselves doesn't change what's between their legs. A cross dressing weirdo isn't a women because they say they are. True. So maybe the problem is how you view cross dressers. Get real. Maybe if you got real drunk...just sayin'. -1=e^ipi Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 Do they have penis and testicles? If yes, they are a male. If they have vagina they are female. Quite simple. Thats it. Thats all. But Eunuchs often have neither. Intersex people can have both. Quote

-1=e^ipi Posted July 17, 2015 Author Report Posted July 17, 2015 So I haven't visited the asexuality.org forums in a while, but I skimmed them a while and was surprised to find that there are a number of threads discussing this topic, questioning the meaning of identifying with a gender, and asking if a lack of gender roles results in agenderness. Here are some examples:http://www.asexuality.org/en/topic/122036-questions-for-anyone-not-cisgender/http://www.asexuality.org/en/topic/122205-the-one-question-that-nobody-seems-to-ask/ Quote
