Ditto.

I think he has a point... Sending other peoples kids to die for a questionable cause seems like something you be stoic and reserved about... The cabinet in that photo looks like they are cheering because they just saw a good standup comedy act.

They're cheering the leadership of Harper on the world stage and On this issue in particular.

Well, if they can export a very bulky commodity like oil, it stands to reason they can probably import bulky commodities like weapons.

Applies and oranges......its far easier to sell a commodity like oil, than it is to procure on the blackmarket specific heavy western munitions like guided missiles or tank shells.......and then, bring them into the center of Iraq......Even the Americans, with all their resources, had to strain to bring both forces and supplies to Northern Iraq during the '03 invasion.

Applies and oranges....

....Even the Americans, with all their resources, had to strain to bring both forces and supplies to Northern Iraq during the '03 invasion.

EVEN the Americans? Now you're really comparing oranges and apples given America's rate of accomplishments in the region..

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

The Americans have nothing on Canada when it comes to delivering...blankets.

That's true but we have nothing on y'all when it comes to.... bombs.

Kill or be scared.

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find your way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

ISIS has no outside source of supply, granted they captured tons upon tons of munitions from both the Syrian and Iraqi armies......as to who will run out first? The intent is to ensure that it is ISIS, as made evident by Allied airstrikes on ISIS munitions dumps, coupled with targeting ISIS supply convoys on Iraqi and Syrian highways............I wouldn't be surprised if ISIS is already experiencing shortages of heavier US supplied munitions (like tank and artillery shells and anti-tank missiles), captured off the Iraqis.

ISIS came out of nowhere, literally. I suspect that Qatar can finance a resupply. ISIS seems to be a compendium of radical interests that happen to be Sunni. Call them "Sadam II."

no - up until Feb-2014, before the split, ISIS used to be al-Qaeda in Iraq... a name-change/split (falling out amongst evil-doers), doesn't hide the foundations... of evil-doing!

By all means, expand upon how Qatar would both finance and deliver advanced Western munitions to ISIS in central/Northern Iraq.........

By writing checks for the weaponry. Not exactly rocket science, even among primitive savages.

Perhaps not rocket science, but you've yet to explain it further.......for that I await.

You're not waiting long.

Qatar has about 250,000 people and almost unlimited funds. It supplies the funds. The weapons find their way to the fighters. The leaders get to ensconce themselves in a relatively liveable place while they direct their hormone-fueled fighters who and where to attack and/or behead.

How do advanced western weapons like tank shells and guided missiles get smuggled into the country? A combat loadout for a single tank equates to the weight of a small car.........start there.

They drive it all right across the border from Jordan or Turkey. Not too hard given the endemic corruption in the region.

One thing the West can do to help in Iraq and Syria is to dial up the pressure on Turkey big time.

Turkey is pleased to see ISIL taking it to the Kurds, given that the Turks have domestic problems with them.. Collateral slaughter of civilians is acceptable to the Turks as long as the Kurds are slapped down hard.

Turkey is a NATO memebr and badly wants into the EU. Both of those facts are pressure points.

Science too hard for you? Try religion!
