Now this tidbit is the best I have seen to fix the problems of the M.E. It seems very simple. Now the anti-Israel crowd will still not agree, but facts are facts and if this does not change your thinking ,then I pity you and the world you live in.

That question Squid makes as much sense as me saying why don't you care about Southern Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, the Philippines, Indonesia, Senegal, Rwanda, Mali, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Kurdistan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Albania, Lebanon.

Why did you select Russia and North Korea? don't you care about the countries I listed?

Oh but wait, the fact they are all Muslim is coincidental.

Because you also don' like Japan, Vietnam, Nepal, China,Mynammar-Burma. Thailand,Cambodia, Australia New Zealand, Fiji, Saychilles Islands.

American Guam, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Chile, Bolivia, Vatican City, Eire, Iceland Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Burkinea Faso, Mozambique.

I can tell. You never mentioned them.

I won't even begin to mention how much you hate the Falkland Islands, Antartica, Greenland, Zaire, Central African Republic, Mongolia, and Khazakistan.

It was a direct reference to jbg's comments earlier about how no one starts threads critical of Russia and North Korea.

The anti-Israel crowd falls into one or more of these categories:

1) ignores the facts with some form of willful blindness - thinking Hamas and their Ilk could never be so heinous

2) Believes that this historical reference is all lies

3) Condones the elimination of Israel and the Jewish people through any and all means

Yup! Thats right. Anyone critical of Israels occupation and plundering of land falls into your three simplistic categories. Thats most of the human race btw.

I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger

What plundering of land? Gaza and the West Bank don't have any shit that anybody would want.

Why don't you care about Russia and N. Korea?

I tried. See below:

Go here, regarding Polish and Russian hypocrisy (link to thread). Or this one about hypocrisy concerning Russia's seizure of the Kurile Islands (link). Those were two of mine.

Why so many others on Israel?

And for that matter why should Israel have to tolerate Gazan rocketry or tunneling?

To which I got this response:

Both of those threads that you started were about comparisons to Israel.

I don think it's other posters with a one track mind........

Also the OP video is riddled with factual errors. For example, he claims "There has never been a state in the geographic area that is known as Palestine that was not Jewish." which is immediately contradicted by the chronology showing a 2000 year gap between the Second Kingdom and the modern state of Israel. Where was the Jewish state for those two millenia?

Im talking about the massive network of wells, pipelines, and pumping stations Israel has built in the west bank to take most of palestines fresh water.

There were factual errors but that wasn't one of them. His point was that there was never an independent entity covering that area that wasn't Jewish. The area was an appendage of the Roman, Ottoman and other empires.

One factual error I picked out was the statement that Egypt, under "new" leadership made peace with Israel. Sadat was dictator both during the 1973 war and the 1979 houdna peace treaty, negotiated during 1977-9.

The leader of the Palestinian Resistance during WWII met with Adolph Hitler in Germany in 1941 in order to offer Arab support for Germany's war against world Jewry, and to gain Nazi Germany's support in the Arab world.

The Grand Mufti, leader of the Islamic people under the British Mandate dictated a policy that is held to this day by Hamas-- that the goal of Palestinian Resistance is the destruction of the Jewish State and the eradication of the Jews.

For all you Free Palestine band wagon jumpers, you should know you're supporting a modern day Nazi movement started by one of the architects of the Final Solution.

That Pro-Hitler & Pro-Holocaust themes have risen up at "Free Palestine' events around the globe shouldn't be a surprise, its the basis of the movement.

So not, in fact, a Jewish state. What he actually seems to be saying is there has been a continuous Jewish presence in that area for most of recorded history, which is true. But that's not the claim being made.

As for his definition of the Middle East problem ("Why can't Israel be allowed to exist?") he's about 66 years too late. It's been asked and answered.

Another thing, though not a factual error, is his repetition of the oft-repeated demand that Palestine must recognize Israel as a Jewish state, a demand that was not placed on any of the other Arab states with which Israel has signed peace agreements.

The continuous Jewish presence would be true but what he's really saying is that the only political independence the area has had has been under Jewish auspices.

Exist, amid the "rocket's red glare." (pun intended).

Another thing, though not a factual error, is his repetition of the oft-repeated demand that Palestine must recognize Israel as a Jewish state, a demand that was not placed on any of the other Arab states with which Israel has signed peace agreements.

That demand has come in the context of Arafat's final demand that broke the 2000 peace efforts, which was to allow a "right of return" of Arab refugees and their descendants, that would transform Israel into a Muslim-majority land.

And this proves what exactly?

Exist, amid the "rocket's red glare." (pun intended).

Thanks, wouldn't have got that otherwise.

So we've established Israel exists and faces no immediate existential threats. Yet we're expected to believe it remains balanced on a knife's edge? That's just propaganda.

That demand has come in the context of Arafat's final demand that broke the 2000 peace efforts, which was to allow a "right of return" of Arab refugees and their descendants, that would transform Israel into a Muslim-majority land.

So what you're saying is Israel is demanding this rhetorical recognition as a result of a demand it would never itself accede to?
