Perhaps the frustration you feel comes from the fact people have given up engaging with you because they are elevated above the level of discussion you seem to like to engage in because of their capabilities. IOW, they don't wish to be insulted, or to insult.

Seriously. Is this meant to be ironic? Because you'd need the best efforts of Elon Musk's SpaceX to elevate the level of your discourse above the sandlot.

No, he was more ad hom than many. He made sese from time to time, but when challenged he came out against those opposing his views with ugly junk like saying those who opposed him as..... idiots who can't see beyond the cloud of excrement coming out of their you know what... and such nonsense. If you disagreed you became an idiot. I don't see that as intelligent, or witty. Perhaps it appeals to you.

I don't call people idiots. It's against the rules. I often think they're idiots, even on their best days. But that just shows how low the quality of the posters on the Left has fallen over the past few years. The only poster on the Left side of the political spectrum that I can think of who is capable of engaging in a political discussion without hurling insults or character assassination is MH, and even that's probably because he's a moderator and has to restrain himself.

You of course are completely incapable of disagreeing with anyone on any subject without snarky, snotty insults.

I'm afraid I don't agree with your assertion about a "problem" Or are you all teary eyed like Argus because you got a suspension for being insulting?

Of course it's not a problem fir you since you all read from the same playbook.

Teary eyed? No.

Why can't you have a normal conversation without all the sarcastic stuff man? Is this how you behave in public too? Honestly...come on Guard.

I'm still waiting to hear why no one at MLW is capable of helping Charles and MH moderate. What exactly is there about the righteous, sterling characters of these two which is absent in all other members? If the task is so heavy they don't have time for it they need to recruit others to help.

Simple: most of you can not be trusted to ignore what you perceive to be trolling.

Now, I was on your side until this point - can you be trusted to do that? As far as I can tell, you can't, which makes your position hypocritical.

Can I ask a question that has probably been answered a thousand times on here but I've missed out on them.

What's wrong with trolling? Pretty much everyone does it on here, whether they think they do or not.

The site is more fun with it than without it.

I agree it's not a problem. I'm just not understanding what makes CA or MH more impartial in regards to their personal interpretations of trolling.

I don't think it's possible for a Mod to be completely unbiased. Still, I don't think we see enough of what they do to make a decision either way.

I think there should be a list of everyone who is banned, suspended or given warning points, along with a detailed description of the infraction.

Simple: most of you can not be trusted to ignore what you perceive to be trolling. If it makes you feel better, just think of it as a technicality.

You yourself state quite clearly that you refuse.

I would suggest if you polled the membership most would not WANT the moderator to ignore what they perceived to be trolling.

it must be good for ratings! Rather than deal with the most egregious and purposely flagrant and incessant troll(s) directly (you know... "moderate"), we're left with the current situation that forever percolates, occasionally boiling over... but always resulting in formed/enhanced impressions of moderator bias and a lack of respect for the actual board rule against trolling and this board definition: "We define "trolling" as a message that serves no constructive purpose and is likely to cause offence or arguments".

I find mike hardner to be extremely biased. He plays favourites on this forum and uses his almighty "powers" to silence those he disagrees with. I feel mike hardner has done much more damage to this forum than good.

Cue the suspension for ole socialist because the narrative must be controlled. free speech must be stifled.

He has certainly given me some very questionable warnings.

Me too. You know why? Because he wants to control the narrative. he doesn't want people to disagree with his ideology. I've been here a few years, and this once great forum started going downhill when mike became moderator. I guess he's powerful.

quit your whining and accept your suspension lumps with some modicum of humility! Whether you agree with facilitator MLW member, Michael Hardner, or not, he at least... in my case, will typically write an accompanying PM to describe his actions. Such a refreshing change from that 'other guy'! As for your 'playing favourites' theme, ya... I'll agree... I'm definitely a played favourite of this board's moderator. See what I did there... did you catch it? Favour/favourite plays both ways, yes?
