I do not have an ETA on when the upgrade will occur, but it should happen in the next 24 hours. I will give warning when the upgrade happens, but please be patient if there is some downtime. I imagine as soon as the software is updated, spammers figure their way around it. Must make for a lot of work for the admin - so the work in that regard is much appreciated! Quote

I think the gist of it was that they don't even need people to click on their links... just the fact that their links exist on the forums is valuable to them, because when the search engine webcrawlers find their links, it boosts their search engine rankings.
