Moonlight Graham Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Saw this on TV on an episode of Campus PD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIgaTJTzLhs Love how the cop is protecting the Christian man from the rowdy crowd of college kids on campus. Several kids get close to him and I think one kid touched the man, and the cop backs everyone off and gives him space to protect this man's safety and right to freedom of speech. In Canada, the cop would probably be trying to get the darn Christian dude to go home...or at least the university student unions or administration would. Note, the Christian man is actually quoting the New Testament correctly when he says women shouldn't get divorced: http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=20228 Edited February 9, 2012 by Moonlight Graham Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.

DogOnPorch Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Thanks. Like yourself, I'm impressed at the speed at which our courts work and the 'hard time' cracking rocks our convicts must do. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Bob Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 No other country protects freedom of speech like America. Although preservation of that freedom is a never-ending battle as leftists continue to assault that right. Canada should learn lessons about freedom of speech from America. Guest Peeves Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Only if correct = dead wrong . You deny the USA's laws on free speech are superior to Canada's? In what respect Shit Trudeau took issue with calling honor killings (I think ) barbaric! Human rights tribunals charge those that deal with Muslims, gays, Jews, things that free speech allows in the USA to their credit. Canada's hate speech is a restriction of free speech (qualifier), unless violence is suggested. Either we have rights to our beliefs, convictions and opinions and the opportunity to openly express them, or we have no free speech. I should have a right to offend you. Being offended should not result in a repression of my free speech. If I question the number murdered by Hitler, the Holocaust number murdered the terrorism in Islamist Muslim that certainly should not be restricted speech. Edited February 15, 2012 by Peeves Quote
