If somebody launches a strike first, it will be Israel, not Iran. So who is the real threat to peace and security in the region? Who is more likely to start a regional war that will drive oil prices out the roof and kill tens of thousands? This just in: Israel threatens preemptive strike. Anyone been reading the news lately? I vote for Iran. They had no problem engaging Iraq in the 80s. They support Hamas, Syria and Hezbollah and destabilize Lebanon for decades - all in virulent hatred for israel and specifically Jews- a people that they have had little direct conflict with. The territorial dispute over a river between the two countries was the source of conflict resulting a provocation by Iraq to invade south western Iran funded by US military. The intention of the west was to engage Iran in a prolonged war with Iraq to weaken the country and the influence of the islamic revolution. That war resulted in the death of millions of people on both sides! But what is really important is the very fact that despite all the sanctions and economic hardship levied on Iran this guy always choses to come back to his home country Iran after visiting US and Israel...Needless to say that these sanctions are hurting not only Iranian jews but all Iranians.
