Me?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360) - Multiplayer is just way too similar to all the other COD games, so I think I'm about done with this series. Plus for some reason I'm getting my butt whooped in this one compared to past COD's. One reason is that I've always loved claymore mines to guard my back, but in this game I can't use them until I'm level 50-something.

Skate 2 (xbox 360) - sweet series

I actually just picked up Oblivion. Never had the time to play it when it came out.

I had some time so I started it up. My computer isn't top of the line but I can play this game at "Ultra" settings because it is older.

Recently finished The Witcher 2.

I've been meaning to try another game of Civilization V but, I don't think they have made the AI smarter. IT didn't know how to place siege weapons in battle properly so battles were one sided. It needs bonuses to win (125% of base production rate, etc) and I don't like that style of AI.

Starcraft II is another occasional play for me.

My little guy likes watching/trying Mario games on the Wii.

Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.

The PC version of Oblivion with both the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Islands? If so, you have one of the best programs for adding literally thousands of great adventures...EVER. If you have the console version...oh, well...out o' luck...lol.

Remember, Oblivion shipped with a stunted .exe in order to get a better rating (was Adult...now Mature, I think). The Nerd-Gnomes cracked that quite some time ago.

With that, Oblivion regains its intended functionality. Most detailed add-ons need it.

Skyrim is at least 6 years from getting to the level of development that Oblivion has reached.

I almost exclusively a shooter guy. It's easy to just drop in and out and not having to commit hundreds of hours into some adventure game or MMO.

I got Battlefield 3 the day it came out. Only played the first level on single player and have been playing multiplayer since.

It's a very good game, excellent graphics. Infact I have about 4 gbs invested on my Xbox's hardrive into improving gameplay.

That being said these games get tired after awhile.

I got Maddenwarefare3 :D for Christmas. I've been slowly plodding along in the single player mode. It's very good, much better than MW2 and Black Ops.

I'll get into the Multiplayer when I'm done. The good thing about MW3's multiplayer is that you can customize a lot more than in B3.

The biggest pain about B3 is when you unlock a new gun you have to unlock attachments in stages, first a heavy barrel, then an Acog site (which is useless) then a verticle grip and so on. I still haven't unlocked a red-dot site for my current Assault gun. You take a big hit to your K:D when you don't have proper optics.

Also I got Pilot Wings Resort on my wife's 3DS. Takes me back to the good ole days of Nintendo 64 and SNES.

Got out of most PC gaming in the mid-2000's, like most people I guess. I miss the tons of free mods, for sure. I remember reading on some Oblivion forums not long after it came out of a mod project by a ton of PC gamers who were trying to recreate Middle-Earth Lord of the Rings style. Have seen some of te stuff on Youtube but dont know if it ever fully came together.

Been playing the Elder Scrolls series since Daggerfall.

There is quite a few LOTR mods...no complete Middle Earth, though.

I always found it odd that Gamers would voluntarily toss their powerful desktops in favour of console games. I have about 250 mods running on my current Oblivion install that have turned it into a much different game than the Oblivion that came out of the box. Regular Oblivion....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...lol.

Here's a few big ones that rock...

I always wondered why they made expansion packs for TES games. If there are any games in the world that have enough content on release to not need expansion packs, it's Elder Scrolls games. I've racked up over 100 hours each on Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion and never got through finishing the main quests on either.

The main Oblivion quest is rather vicious with the difficulty slider turned up...same with Knights of the Nine. Both are still active with all the various mods installed. Most vanilla Oblivion quests now have larger expansion mods to give them even more depth. But, as mentioned, Oblivion shipped with a stunted .exe...so you need to install the script extender to gain full functionality as the Bethsuda designers intended.

Oblivion is also 'female friendly' attracting both male and female players/modders. My wife likes it because she can 'do anything or nothing'. She can take out that cave full of critters or spend the day gardening at one of her houses with her NPC girlfriends. The game don't care...lol.

...and added a few more.

Nothing that's very repetative like in Oblivion. Occasionally they'll be a graphics issue, but it's fairly rare. The things I found annoying in Oblivion were a lot more frequent, or more difficult to fix. Like basically the same 4 voices used for every single character in the game.

Seventeen...but whose counting?

Oblivion has been around for a while and most issues common to the original release are no longer an issue. Many larger mods now come with their own voice actors. But, the future is indeed the PC version of Skyrim. But, there is no Construction Set yet and none of the fancy relationship mods that took SIX YEARS to develop for Oblivion. It's like Data without the emotion chips...lol.

Don't get me wrong, I love Oblivion. I played the hell out of it, up until a few weeks ago!

Heck, I still think Morrowind is a hell of a ride. There's graphic mods for it that bring it up to Oblivion standards.

I'm part of the mod community over at LL...we are getting requests for those various relationship mods in Skyrim pronto...but, at the moment we can just shrug our shoulders and say 'sorry...do you have a few years to wait??'

When can I get a mod that fixes mouse movement/delay/lag issues in Skyrim on the PC? I was excited to try it out, but the mouse movement issues make the game completely unplayable, and the .ini file settings changes people talk about on forums only help slightly, but not enough to make it playable. It's too bad, cause it has great graphics and is set in one of my favorite settings (loosely based on Nordic culture/mythology).
