I love how people still pursue the logical fallacy of focusing on the protesters themselves, rather than the arguments that have been made.

The argument that have been made are well known and widely discussed on their merits. That doesn't mean that the protesters themselves can't be criticized. One can agree with or disagree with a message, while not liking the medium that was initially used to spread it, and certainly can dislike the lingering residue of that medium that serves no further purpose.

I love how people still pursue the logical fallacy of focusing on an abstract argument, when the topic of discussion is a particular group of protestors.

I thought the topic was about Ezra Levant, who doesn't seem to get it. It seems completely natural to me the discussion would finally get around to why that is.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Ezra Levant is a very brave man who reminds of our beloved leader and father figure Stephen Harper.

Mr. Levant chose to brave the crime ridden encampment to bring us the truth. These encampments have been plagued with crime including rape. That's right these occupy people have been raping each other to some extent. Which is terrible imo.

A friendly all Canadian girl, fresh faced, from the suburbs takes time off from her schooling to come and support the occupy movement and decides to camp out with them in solidarity. Unbeknownst to her was a predator posing a friend. That night she was brutally raped by one of her fellow occupy protesters.

In addition to the various sexual assaults, drug use is rampant. Smoked drugs as well as meth, heroin and crack have been reported used as well.

Mr. Levant is a brave man indeed to wade through all this filth and ugliness to bring us the truth. He is a leader of our times, a great man indeed.

Stephen and Ezra, a more powerful team could not be found. We have Mr. Harpers fatherly guidance and constant mentoring and Ezra's youthful exuberance and tenacious pursuit of truth. Canada is lucky to have two such great, brave men.

1.I see you have'nt got the requisite psychiatric help for your disconcerting Dear Leader/submission to authority/searching for my lost daddy issues.

2.I'm assuming you were there, camera in hand,to film those explicit sex acts( particularily the homosexual acts)?

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

Of course it's been obvious for some time that you are an idiot. But such a feeble attempt at lashing out and trying to get a rise out of somebody reveals much about your sexual appetites. I would suggest you embrace what you are and make peace with it to preserve what few scruples you have left. Make us proud!

It's too bad that you're resorting to insults so soon after your return. It shouldn't be necessary to do so if you have a point to make.

I just watched the Levant video. He makes a lot of points that the "Occupy" protesters would have trouble answering. Such as how a tent has Charter rights. In our country there would be an issue of "unreasonable searches and seizures". Some Justices take the view that the Fourth Amendment applies to people, not places. However, the issue in our country is the "reasonable expectation of privacy" of people in certain places; those expectations would be different in a home, in a public place, or in a car.

I would think that any rational court (not the Communist court system in some cities) would find that a person in a park has little or no expectation of privacy.

I would think you'd be wrong regarding any usual campsite. If someone was rifling through tents, they'd definitely be reported to police, detained, and possibly charged.

As for Mr Levant ... if he went to any public park and started rifling through people's picnic baskets, knapsacks etc, likewise the police would be called. Similarly, rifling through someone's tent would be offensive and possibly an offence. Regardless, it is an invasion of privacy and reveals the arrogance and lack of social values of Mr Levant. I'm sure the 1%'rs cackle about what he did, while avoiding him personally.

That's the mentality of the powerbrokers: The rest of us are just automatons working for their benefit. They love to benefit from the antics of goofs like Levan but they consider him a loose cannon.

Such is the mentality of the 1%'rs... the mentality of schoolyard bullies and those who salivate at their heels.

It's a power regime comprised of people we wouldn't want in our social circle.

Not really. The placing of tents in a campground, say Algonquin Provincial Park, is a specifically permitted use. The user of that facility has what lawyers (at least in my area) call a "license" to use the facility. Such a license is revocable. The right of a tenter in a campground or the picnicker to not have his or her baskets rifled derives from that license, since that person has the right to exclude others. A tent in a public park where camping is not on the menu of activities has no such protection.

Regardless, it is an invasion of privacy and reveals the arrogance and lack of social values of Mr Levant. I'm sure the 1%'rs cackle about what he did, while avoiding him personally.

I think you're ducking the issue that those tents are largely stage props.

I have a question. I am a practicing attorney. I would consider myself to be somewhere between middle-class and upper middle-class. I have a stable marriage. I live in a townhouse attached to one other townhouse, with a one-car garage. We own two cars, a Camry and a Ford Taurus. Am I a 1%-er?

I think you're getting close, friend. What kind of Camry is it? (Don't say it's an XLE or a V6)

LE. 4 cylinder. Why, do you want to "occupy" it by taking a dump in my car?

I really wouldn't call the Toronto Sun as real journalism. A real journalist shouldn't have prejudice or at least should be open minded. That's not the feeling I got from reading the Toronto Sun. On the flip side, neither is the Toronto Star.
