kimmy Posted August 21, 2012 Author Report Posted August 21, 2012 Oh for goodness sakes, Kimmy....what makes you think your interpretation about the Bible is anything to even consider pondering on, never mind taking seriously at all (since obviously you don't even understand what you're criticising about). You're as zany as they come - way up there along with the scumbag religious nuts you speak about! At least perhaps they don't get caught being "zany" in one topic - confused and delusional in one breath. Your perception is not only clouded. You're blinded by hate. Let's just point on your topic here which you created to ridicule and mock Christians, talking about your contradicting views on bullying! On one hand you say.... http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=19801&st=600 What did you say about Rachel's parents again? Well what about if someone told you, "perhaps that should teach your kid brother to stand up and face the bullies instead of being a little sissy running to his sister who probably needed and welcomed those fights to express herself ( and who needs counselling on anger management)?" See what I mean? You're just flying by switching lanes as you go.....your opinion isn't grounded on any standard at all! That's a relativist if you ever saw one.....and a nut to boot! PS. I'm glad to know you're taking up boxing. At least you got the punching bag. I wasn't going to respond to this out of fear of getting run over by the ban-van. But I've had enough whiskey tonight that I just don't care. First off, I personally feel that Christians-- and you're certainly not the only one-- who have tried to co-opt public concern about bullying for their own political purposes are among the lowest of the low. Secondly, your idea that you understand bullying because some boy pulled on your pigtail one time is excellent evidence that you have no freaking clue. You're off on your own little planet. Third, that you'd make light of something that caused so much grief for my family speaks extremely poorly of you as a person. And lastly, on a related note... you're a terrible witness. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

kimmy Posted August 21, 2012 Author Report Posted August 21, 2012 So back to chicken-man Dan Cathy. As I mentioned, I love the cognitive dissonance of people who on the one hand call for boycotts of JC Penny and Oreo and Home Depot and other businesses that have supported gay rights, but on the other hand howl that people who are boycotting Chick-Fil-A are Persecuting Dan Cathy for his Beliefs. It breaks down like this: if I knew that a business was donating a portion of its sales to the KKK, I wouldn't shop there. If I knew that a business was donating a portion of its profits to the New Black Panthers, I wouldn't shop there. Regardless of how tasty their chicken sandwiches were. Chick-Fil-A isn't funding the KKK or the New Black Panthers. Instead, they're funding the American Family Association and the Family Research Council. Just about as bad. Here's an update on what Dan Cathy's greasy chicken money is supporting: American Family Association Family Research Council Watch this steaming piece of dog crap explain how real rape is when the woman is beaten so badly that she can't conceive. Guest Derek L Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Jesus is a Socialist!!! I’ve wondered as of late why it is the “religious right” as a voting block tends to actually support the political right……..I mean most of the views espoused by Christianity (and I suppose Judaism and Islam too) on charity, loving thee neighbour, helping the poor/elderly/sick etc and namely subjugating & deferring oneself to a “Higher Power” to solve your day-to-day woes and problems, be it some magic guy up in the sky, or some magic guy(s) in Washington/Ottawa/State & Provincial capitals/Union boss etc………. I mean both dogmas preach that all of mankind are equal, when clearly that is not the case, as both dogma’s try their best to make that so (With exception of course to those select few that comprise the clergy and governing classes) . I suppose that as demonstrated for the last few thousand years, these three religions have fought each other to ends wit, when at the end of the day, all three fairy tales are the same, as such, the religious right will continue to bicker with the “godless progressives”………. If being objective, could you really see Jesus being a supporter of the Romney tax plan as opposed to Obamacare*? * On the assumption that under Obamacare, lepers with pre-existing conditions will be covered. kimmy Posted August 22, 2012 Author Report Posted August 22, 2012 I'll ignore all the troll antics and just respond to this: So some think more radical than others. What does that prove? Well, if you're prepared to accept that AFA and FRC are "radical", then we're getting somewhere. So, why do Dan Cathy and so many Christians support radical groups like AFA and FRC? It's not like these are obscure little groups. AFA has almost 200 radio stations, hundreds of employees, hundreds of thousands of subscribers, and an annual budget in the tens of millions. FRC is an arm of "Focus on the Family" which is far larger than AFA. Maybe Christian extremism is more powerful in America than some would like to admit. Here's more of AFA mouthpiece Bryan Fischer, explaining how Rep. Akin is the real victim. "Akin is the real victim of forcible... assault." "Akin is the one getting gang... tackled." You can tell he was just itching to say "rape", but resisted because he knew what kind of trouble he'd get in if he did. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

That "witness." Strange. I could've sworn "witnessing" directly to you would be the last thing you'd want me or anyone to do.....and yet Kimmy's so quick to invoke it, along with her supporters. I witnessed Kimmy's "lightheartedness" (to put it kindly) on the issue of bullying when it came to a Christian girl. Even now as we speak, there is no remorse over that coldblooded comment she's made. Blackdog and Dre talks about coherence and logic, but it isn't I who's incoherent and illogical. How ironic that those are the very things I was pointing out - among other things - about Kimmy. Perhaps they don't connect the dots too....or maybe they missed this part of the discussion. So let me bring up the posts again. All I did was turn the table around and let her be on the other's shoes. How does the parents of Rachel feel reading the vicious savageries aimed at their daughter? I am still disturbed by them...still angry and outraged by them! And I don't even know her!Rhetorics and violent imageries, they take on a new light when we think of our own children as the cast of characters in these imageries. The innocence of Rachel in her joyful belief in Jesus....the innocence of our children in their joyful pursuit of Hockey. The impact of savagery is more than just disturbing...it grabs your heart...it becomes frightening....when we picture our own children in the shoes of Rachel. Good grief. I don't think a few comments about slapping her qualify as "vicious savagery". If little Rachel's parents read those comments, perhaps they'll think twice about having her roll up on complete strangers with advice about how to live.-k BETSY:What did you say about Rachel's parents again? Anyway just so you understand where I'm coming from (as a Christian of course)....let me just give you this passage: Ephesians 6:11-20 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Religiously-speaking now, of course Satan will use anyone or anything just so to prevent the spread of the Word. As I said in the another forum, they just didn't want any talks about Christianity - heck, they wanted the whole Religion Forum gone! So of course imv, I look at you as doing his works for him. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? Eph 5 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Edited August 22, 2012 by betsy Quote

Some people: 2+2 = 4 betsy: here you go again, saying that 2+2=5 when everyone knows that 2+2=7; you are this bad thing and that bad thing and I am laughing at you Some people: 2+2=4 and you are a false witness betsy: the Bible proves that I am a true witness and that 2+2=7... nah nah nah nah nah On a more serious note... Insulting people, mocking people, belittling people, saying falsehoods about people (also known as lying) is bad enough, and I will not claim I am not guilty of it on occasions. But as a Christian, I have the basic decency, and respect for God and His word, not to go wrapping myself in the Bible and play the martyr whenever my targets react. Quote
