Scotty Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Maybe it is about time Canadians take to the Hill. I think it is about time. HARPER LEAVE!!!!!!!! Little problem with that being that if there was an election held today Harper would win it. What were you saying about 'popular'? Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy

Topaz Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 As I have said before , I don't understand how the Harper supporters can support him now, when they KNOW all the scams, lies and half-untruths the tories say! IF the non-Tory supporters don't got out and vote against him then we will have him and God only knows what they will try next. I really don't think he will get a majority, there too many unemployed, too many hurting and its more than the last election. If you are a Harper supporter and live in Alberta, yeah, I get it but Ontario, and east? Quote
Saipan Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 I don't understand how the Harper supporters can support him now No pinko does, of course. Thank god. IF the non-Tory supporters don't got out and vote against him then we will have him and God only knows what they will try next. Gasp, maybe even cut on Liberal waste! And trust the public far more than Liberals did. Quote

CANADIEN Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 (edited) Maybe it is about time Canadians take to the Hill. I think it is about time. HARPER LEAVE!!!!!!!! This is time for you get a grip on reality. With all its shortcomings andfaults (and I am one who thinks they are many), the Harper government is a democratically elected government. In this country, when you want to change government, you use the ballot box. Edited February 26, 2011 by CANADIEN Quote
Saipan Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Maybe it is about time Canadians take to the Hill. I think it is about time. You're late. We already had Fed Up Rally I and Fed Up Rally II on the Parliament Hill. Second was 33,000 from across Canada (mostly Ontario) but speakers from as far as Australia. Yet CBC reported far more on "rally" of about 50 of some union (mostly NDP's) http://www.karenselick.com/Spch980922.html Quote

The majority of Canadians have only supported any particular Federal government on six or seven occasions since Confederation. Harper is only a tyrant to his own party, as a general tyrant goes he's useless. He can't even stop Parliament from cooking an inept minister over an open fire over cutting funding to an NGO nobody had even heard of a few months ago. bloodyminded Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 The fact you are a liar - and the fact that the majority of Canadians don't support Stephen Harper. No, they don't, to their credit, but they didn't when he was elected, either. And I don't consider Ignatieff to be terribly impressive...and certainly "the majority of Canadians" don't support him either. scribblet Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 He is democratically elected and as was said and could be on their way to a majority - so - no there is no reason for people to protest, the country is ticking along nicely. Maybe not always the way some want it to, maybe not left wing enough yadda yadda, but it's all good. Let me know if there's a protest - I'll get my own sign Harper Stay !! Is PM Harper passing bills without the vote of the MP's? Is he bypassing the Senate? What is Harper doing to defy the wishes of Parliament? ToadBrother Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Is PM Harper passing bills without the vote of the MP's? Is he bypassing the Senate? What is Harper doing to defy the wishes of Parliament? Attempts to deprive Parliament of Afghan prison transfer documents and documents about the jet purchases. Parliament has an absolute right to demand anything it wants of a government. Parliament is the boss, Harper is merely a Prime Minister. There's more to a constitution than passing bills. Quote

Topaz Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 So, you would prefer "I am an American" Ignatieff, or "Who cares about the economy, give all of it to welfare" Layton? Well, we could have a merger of parties and instead of giving taxes away to corporations, taxpayers could get them instead including Harper supporters. Now, which would you prefer, YOU getting tax cuts or corporations? Quote

ToadBrother Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 One question, do you think Harper is a honest PM and has never told a lie since coming to PMO? I don't think there has ever been such a creature as an honest PM. Quote
