They don't extend welfare during tough times do they ?

Yes they do. I provided a reference which illustrates the fact that many social programs have seen their benefits increase, as well as their eligibility widen. You just choose to ignore those facts.

I believe that applying resources to social problems can produce results. You believe that doing nothing is a better approach.

Aw yes, the old, tired, failed argument that if one doesn't want to apply resources (neat way of saying spend more money) the way you want, then that means they want to do nothing.

As I've already pointed out, social program spending has increased dramatically.

Yep. Attacking people like O'Donnell is easier than explaining and running on their own failed policies over the last 2 years, and 4 years for the Democrat controlled congress. Let's not forget that before Reid and Pelosi became leaders, unemployment was at 5.5%.

And let's not forget that the reason unemployment was so high was because of nearly two decades of unsound market principles, largely overseen by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. It's an example of how the political and economic cycles never match up.

Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist

An article Democrat Chris Coons wrote for his college newspaper may not go over so well in corporation-friendly Delaware, where he already faces an uphill battle for Vice President Joe Biden’s old Senate seat.

The title? “Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist.”

“My friends now joke that something about Kenya, maybe the strange diet, or the tropical sun, changed my personality; Africa to them seems a catalytic converter that takes in clean-shaven, clear-thinking Americans and sends back bearded Marxists,”

Politico

Looks like the voters of Delaware have a choice. If they don't want to vote for O'Donnell, they can always vote for a self-described Marxist!

This will make for some delicious anti-Coons advertising. :)

And as I have already pointed out, we're talking about Libertarianism here. What kind of social programs do you think they support, exactly ?

I guess it depends who you're talking about. There are no 100% libertarian candidates.

Also, welfare has expanded as well. Significantly.

You know Coons already Reps over Half the state right? The voters have already chosen him now it is the choice if they want him to go onto bigger things. Must be why he has at least an 11 point lead. Oh that and his opponent it crazy.

He has an 11 point lead because of the negative campaign of the Republican primary. Before it got so negative, she was actually leading Coons in the polls by 2 points. At the end of the day, I just don't see the voters of Delaware electing a crazy marxist to the United States senate.

You must be crazy. The Republicans didn't use half of the archived footage of this Lady being crazy on camera they could have. It is only going to get worse.

So how do you celebrate a Republican winning a state that the rest of the GOP is backing away from and yet claim it as a Republican win?

I don't think these types of labels work anymore. They are a Dem or Rep in name only and never really in ideology.

Nope, not at all. She was down to Coons by almost 20. Now it's down to 11. Once she gets to hitting back at him, she'll get it to single digits. I just don't believe that Delaware will elect and self-described marxist to the senate. She has a great shot. Especially if she sticks to jobs and the economy. Let him roll around in the mud. It's the economy stupid.

Or she was leading by 2 and is now down 11. BTW you are comparing two different polling companies there. With two different turn out rates. You are comparing apples to oranges there is no sudden bump for her she has down the same number 11 points two weeks ago as she is today.

Professor Chrisitne O'Donnell on Feminism. This lady is just great:

Asked if she considered herself a feminist, O'Donnell said: "Absolutely, but let me qualify that -- I consider myself an authentic feminist. Not as defined by the modern movement. And, let me clarify that a little bit more. I was an English major, so break it down: -ist means one who celebrates. As a feminist, I celebrate my femininity."

Everyday I get to read something new or see a new video and I laugh and I laugh and I laugh. Remember the time her collage wouldn't give her, her degree for 16 years because she refused to pay for the classes she took?

In terms of the total payout perhaps, but benefits and eligibility haven't increased in the US that I'm aware of. It's politically unpopular to help the poor there.

Christine O'Donnell can think whatever she wants to about masturbation and pornography. If she statrs making laws about her opinions then she is a Conservative. If she doesn't then she is more Libertarian.

Again Pliny shows he knows nothing about anything. Let me quote your new fave Republican Pliny.

-"misconception that you, quote unquote, can't legislate morality. The reality of that statement is that if you don't legislate one morality then you are legislating somebody else's morality. So you can't get around legislating morality."

So yes she thinks you shoulda make laws about it. I love Libertarian land because they ignore everything a person says because they are to busy believing what they want to believe. What do you guys think Pliny eats his words with? I hear they go good with a nice wine.

As of this writing, Christine O’Donnell appears to have raised $900,000 since winning the primary.

NRO

Wow, that's $900,000 in one day!

But I really don't understand the obsession some people have over what she's said back in her 20s. I mean, Joe Biden was plagiarizing his speeches when in his 40s. And Robert Byrd was trying to hang Black people while in his 40s. And you have Charlie Rangle who won his primary as possibly the most corrupt and unethical congressman in the history of American politics.

O'Donnell says she wouldn't lie to save a jew from the Nazi's if she were hidding a Jew in her house. She says it would be Gods will whatever happened but she knows God would never want her to lie. She is scary crazy.

O'DONNELL: A lie, whether it be a lie or an exaggeration, is disrespect to whoever you're exaggerating or lying to, because it's not respecting reality.

MAHER: Quite the opposite, it can be respect.

IZZARD: What if someone comes to you in the middle of the Second World War and says, 'do you have any Jewish people in your house?' and you do have them. That would be a lie. That would be disrespectful to Hitler.

O'DONNELL: I believe if I were in that situation, God would provide a way to do the right thing righteously. I believe that!

MAHER: God is not there. Hitler's there and you're there.

O'DONNELL: You never have to practice deception. God always provides a way out.

Like I said, she's said some weird stuff while in her 20s. But remember, the show IS called politically incorrect. Anyways, at least she wasn't trying to hang Black people like certain Dem senators while in their 40s.

You will have to link to me that story about hanging Black people Shady.

BTW if that is best you got you really are streching.

Shady's new solgan "Vote for Christie it could be worse she could be crazy AND a member of the KKK."

See how that is a false choice her oponent is a very qulified man who isn't crazy and isn't a member of the KKK. So he has two things going for him not just the one.

Yet when Rand Paul kidnaps someone and makes them do drugs, it's just wacky college kids up to their tricks. Does your hypocrisy leave a stain on the bathtub?

Facts are facts. Coons is a self described Marxist.

What whacky college tricks did you play?
