You people have to go to this website page and see the picture and caption about Harper. Normally, I wouldn't post this but there's some truth in the picture. http://www.bourque.org/

Take all media with a grain of salt. It's never as bad as they make it out to be and it's never as good for that matter either.

I went to the link and all I saw was a story about Chretien's brain operation, and Sarah Ferguson, and some sort of Price Is Right model drama. What was the original story supposed to be about?

Oh, for the past few days, maybe a week. Bourque has been having headlines that were unflattering to PM Harper. Seems they took a day off today.

More likely the Liberals just didn't buy any headlines today. I'm sure they'll find something new to lie about tomorrow.

And I'm sure the Conservatives will too. Perhaps tomorrow, they can accuse Ignatieff of being a sissy girl.

Or the Grand Architect of the socialist, seperatist, leftist coalition...

Did I say ...COALITION loud enough for you to hear?

One more time....COALITION...C-O-A-L-I-T-I-O-N...COALITON!!!!!!!

WOW A leader doing things, unbelievable. It is called leadership, so many years of liberals promising the world to anyone that would listen has brought this country to the point where the trained seals (canadian left) want to hear these promises, does not matter if they come thru, it seem the left is happy with promises and no action, just tell them you will do it and they will be happy.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

I think that I saw the original photo/caption on Bourque's site. (He changes it often so I suspect that it's no longer there.)

Stephen Harper does not care what the English-Canadian media centred in Toronto think about him. So, if certain journalists (including people like Paul Wells) think that Harper has lost contact with reality, Harper doesn't care. In fact, Harper suspects that having such headlines probably helps him; heck, a good harangue by Haroon Siddiqui probably drives many borderline voters to Harper.

----

Then again, Harper has to face some basic numbers. He and his party are polling now in the low to mid 30s. The conventional wisdom is that for a majority, he needs around 40% or so.

Conventional wisdom? If I were Harper, I'd have a Karl Rove on staff going methodically through the numbers, ridings and voting patterns. (I mean a real Karl Rove and not the Huffington Post/Newsweek version.)

IOW, I don't think Harper is in denial at all. I think Harper is watching the numbers and ridings very carefully to see which voters and where could possibly shift and give him a majority.

But here's the hiccup. Karl Rove had a George Bush Jnr to deliver the message. Can Harper deliver the message?

Here's my take: Harper is a good Rove but a lousy Bush.
